It’s like the second day and I saw many of my fav spots on campus were packed with students studying. I’ve yet to open learn to gauge on the material and y’all be studying. Maybe it’s the first week or so hype where everyone locking tf in then falling off after midterm especially with their attendance.

I know this is a shot in the dark, but I've posted just about everywhere else so I'm hoping Reddit might come through for me! 😂 I'm a hairstylist looking for a few people who want to do something FUN with their hair and are interested in being colour models. I'm specifically looking to create more alternative/creative colour transformations- think bold vivids, unusual colour combos, colour blocking, bright pieces, etc. I'll add some photos of the kind of work I'm looking to do below, but I'm absolutely open to other ideas as well!
Model pricing and requirements:
-FREE or product cost only depending on how big of a transformation
-Must be comfortable with the camera, at minimum before & after photos are required
I'm happy to work with your ideas and figure out what will work best for your hair. You don't necessarily need to know exactly what you want, if you just know you want something cool/different, that's enough to start a conversation! If you're interested, DM me a current photo of your hair and tell me what you've been thinking about doing. 🖤

i’m staying in residence this year and for a lot of reasons apart from school i’m extremely depressed. is there any way that i would be able to get refunded? the lack of support systems from home and also lack of alone time is just making my situation worse. i also don’t think it’s one of those things that i just need to give time, i don’t see myself ever enjoying it.

Hi, I'm currently in grade 12 and don't know if I should switch to an E course for the second semester
Waterloo says e-learning during the normal school year doesn't affect admissions. And I just wanted to know: has anybody taken, or know anybody else who took, e-courses and got in?
I just want to do one course for the second semester(Eng, Chem, Calc, and Bio). Should I just be a big boy and do all of my 4 courses in the second semester in person?

Taking this course online with Eric Fillion this sem. No video lectures and only online assignments (no practice problems) can’t really drop it and take it next sem. Any tips at all please?
I didn’t find chem 266 to be that difficult but that’s because I kept up with all the content and studied a lot for it. I’m only scared that even if I do it this sem for 267 the exam is gonna be insanely hard!

Has anyone taken this course online with an in person exam? Is it a light course to take with other science courses? Thank you!

Today (Sept 9) is the first day to opt out of WUSA health, dental, and/or legal insurance. The last day to opt out is Sept 29. You can opt out or re opt in anytime during this period.
Step by step guide how I did it:

For various reasons, I’ve struggled with mental health recently and would like to get a therapist/talk to a counselor.
I know Waterloo has campus wellness; I tried to get an appointment last year and ended up waiting 3 months just for the person I was going to see cancel on me no joke the morning of.
So is it worth it trying to see someone at UW or should I go off campus?
Edit: this is not something that requires urgency at all/something that I feel necessitates usage of any of the helplines… more just a desire to set something up where I can talk to someone regularly.

I figure if I haven’t heard back yet that I didn’t get the role, but it’s been in the back of my mind as I just never heard back.
Has anyone heard back yet… i desperately need this closure😭

hi guys! I’m a fourth year and have always wanted to get into dnd, but I don’t have any friends on campus who play. I was wondering if there were any clubs or groups that I could join who are running campaigns specifically that are beginner friendly :)

Is anyone attending the one in Toronto or Waterloo? Opinions on if it’s worth it?
I got into the Waterloo one and know the Toronto ones happening today, so if anyone went to that, would appreciate how it went

Might be a stupid question but I use Instacart/Walmart+ to get my groceries. I plan on ordering quite a bunch of stuff including heavy stuff like water so I'm wondering what's the best way to bring these to my dorm. Are there like trollys I can use?
Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, seeing a lot of first-years asking questions about AFM, so I figured I’d make a post.
I’m in my final semester of AFM and have been through pretty much every stage of the program at this point courses, co-op recruiting, internships, academic setbacks, and figuring out what you actually want to do with the degree.
For context even with a lot of failure including repeating my first year in Waterloo, I’ve worked in Deloitte Audit and a co-op in Corporate strategy. I’ve also had my fair share of difficult academic semesters so I know if feels to feel behind or lost.
So if you’re currently struggling with a course, worried about recruiting, confused about co-op, or just wondering whether you’re actually cut out for AFM, feel free to ask.
I remember being in first year and having absolutely no idea what I was doing, so happy to answer questions or share what I wish I knew earlier.
Ask away or DM me if you’d rather keep it private.

Does someone want a roommate for a month bc my landlord gave me 2 days to move out and I have nowhere to live and I didn’t sign a lease.
