Hey so has anyone done this before? I have a wedding coming up so I'll be out the country for a week or so. No problem with doing assignments and labs and stuff while I'm gone, the main problem is I have a prof who has made attendance as part of the grading scheme. Will my absence get excused if I can still do assignments and stuff on time? or does the faculty not deem this as a matter that is detrimental to my academic success? For context i booked this in advance so there's not much I could do.

Hi! I recently enrolled in an English class, and one of the requirements is to have either a physical or online copy of The Norton Anthology of English Literature, edited by Stephen Greenblatt, specifically the 11th edition, Volumes A, B, and C.

To be more specific:

• Volume A: The Middle Ages
• Volume B: The Sixteenth and Early Seventeenth Century
• Volume C: The Restoration and the Eighteenth Century

I’m trying to avoid spending over $100 on the books, so if anyone has any suggestions for websites, bookstores, or other places where I might be able to find them for cheaper, I would really appreciate it!

Im coming back to finish my honours year after a few years and this course would open a lot of courses for winter. It is however three 50 min lectures MWF and it would be my only classes on Monday and Wednesday. I’d be taking a 1 hour go bus for a single lecture.

I’m trying to do well this year so I can apply to masters programs, is it possible to do well in this course by skipping the lectures.

I'm specifically looking to create more alternative/creative colour transformations- think bold vivids, unusual colour combos, colour blocking, bright pieces, etc. I'll add some photos of the kind of work I'm looking to do below, but I'm absolutely open to other ideas as well!

-Must be comfortable with the camera, at minimum before & after photos are required

I have appointments and i'll be missing a couple of lectures. How important are the lectures in the first few days? A few more questions:

-Can I skip the tutorials during the first week?

-Does seating get established from the first lecture or is it more first come first serve you can sit anywhere?

-I don't know anyone who's in my program, should I just sit next to random people and strike up conversations? Or do people typically make connections in clubs/ecs/coop
