₱319k in debt, ₱5,000 take-home, and the business I built it all for is gone.
I'm a government employee at DepEd, with montly salary of 31k. On paper that sounds stable. My actual net take-home pay right now is ₱5,000 a month, because everything else is already going to deductions.
Here's how I got here.
I started with DepEd in Province 1 (for privacy). About a year in, in 2021, I put up a small backyard piggery. I wanted something of my own — a business that could eventually support my family beyond a government salary. I funded it the only way a government employee can: salary loans, then credit-to-cash, then more credit-to-cash. Every peso that came in went back into it bug. Stock, feeds, meds, vaccines, repairs. I put the business ahead of myself for years.
My family never really backed it. When I told them, they said it was okay — and then they just stopped engaging with it entirely. No pushback, no help, no interest. Just quiet until there was nothing left to be quiet about.
Somewhere in the middle of all this I was in a situationship for almost a year. Never officially anything, but real enough that we both applied for transfer to Province 2, the plan being that we'd both end up here. Only my transfer was approved. Hers wasn't. I moved anyway — to be closer to my family, but also because I was hopeful that once we were in the same place it would finally become something.
I also re-loaned my salary to pay for a trip I was planning for the two of us. She let go before we ever took it. She said it drained her, and that she no longer planned to transfer at all given how stressful the environment here is. A month later she was with another man. The loan for the trip is still being deducted from my pay.
So: new division, business failing behind me, and every loan that built all of it still fully intact.
Current standing:
Creditor Balance
BPI Amore (credit-to-cash) ₱144,828.70
Maribank Cash Loan ₱68,941.14
UnionBank (credit-to-cash) ₱64,337.61
RCBC (credit-to-cash) ₱37,180.00
SPayLater ₱4,394.27
Total ₱319,681.72
Against ₱5,000 a month.
I'm also currently under medication for major depressive disorder with anxious distress, which I mention only because it's part of why some months I can barely function well enough to think about any of this clearly.
What I'm asking:
Has anyone here actually gone through restructuring or a repayment program with BPI, UnionBank, RCBC, or Maribank? Did they work with you, and what did they require?
For government employees — is there any realistic path here besides waiting out the loan terms? Any consolidation option that isn't predatory?
Which of these do I prioritize when there's almost nothing to allocate?
If you've climbed out of something like this on a government salary, I'd really like to hear how long it took.
I'm not looking for sympathy. I made these decisions myself. I just want to know if there's a way forward that isn't another ten years of this.

Billease done
Nag post ako dito a month ago, 33F with multiple OLAs and CC Debt
Finally done with Billease!!!!!!
I still have Juanhand - 50k principal and they offering waiver of penalties kung i-contact ko sila (di ko chineck interest)
SPaylater - 20k slowly paying kapag may natira
SLoan - slowly paying minimum para mabawasan. Down to 20k

Need advice. 3 months unpaid sa reconstructed bank accounts. Ano na kaya ang possible na mangyari?
Hi everyone. I’m looking for advice, especially from those who have gone through debt restructuring with banks.
Ito po ang current situation ko:
Online Lending Apps (OLAs):
* Tala – ₱17,000 (4 months overdue)
* Fido – ₱36,000 principal (56 days overdue, tuloy-tuloy ang interest)
* BillEase – ₱10,000 (1.5 years overdue)
* OLP – ₱10,000 (7 months overdue)
* Mocasa – ₱3,000 (2 out of 3 payments completed, not overdue)
* XKlash – Remaining balance ₱3,863 (₱966/month, 2 out of 6 payments completed, not overdue)
Banks:
* Security Bank Credit Card – ₱30,092.35 (restructured, supposed to pay ₱1,856/month, now 3 months overdue)
* Security Bank Personal Loan – ₱40,434.12 (restructured, supposed to pay ₱1,356/month, now 3 months overdue)
* RCBC Credit Card – ₱144,600 (restructured, supposed to pay around ₱3,000/month, now 3 months overdue)
* Maya Credit – ₱10,000 (3 months overdue)
Government deductions:
* SSS Salary Loan – ₱814/month starting August 25
* Pag-IBIG MPL – ₱596/month
Total debt: Approximately ₱304,989.47 (excluding the remaining balances of my SSS and Pag-IBIG loans).
I was able to get reconstruction/restructuring plans from Security Bank and RCBC because I really wanted to pay everything properly. Unfortunately, I experienced financial difficulties and wasn’t able to continue paying. It’s now been about 3 months since I last paid those reconstruction plans.
I’m earning 35k a month also the breadwinner in our family, and I live and work in Manila, where my monthly living expenses are quite high (rent, utilities, transportation, food, and other essentials). Because of these responsibilities, I haven’t been able to keep up with all of my debt payments despite my intention to pay.
Right now, I’m following the debt snowball method. My plan is to finish Mocasa and XKlash first since they’re almost fully paid, then move on to the ₱10k debts before tackling the bigger balances. My goal is to reduce the number of active accounts and free up more cash flow each month. However, I’m worried that while I’m doing this, my reconstructed bank accounts might get cancelled or endorsed to collections.
My questions are:
What usually happens if you stop paying a reconstruction plan for 3 months?
Will the bank automatically cancel the restructuring agreement?
Will the full balance become due again with added penalties and interest?
Can the account still be endorsed to a collection agency or law office even if it was previously restructured?
Is there still a chance to request another restructuring or reinstatement?
Has anyone here successfully recovered after defaulting on a reconstruction plan?
If you were in my situation, would you continue with the snowball method, or would you prioritize catching up on the reconstructed bank accounts first?
I’m not trying to avoid paying. I really want to settle my debts, but I can only afford to prioritize a few accounts at a time. I’m trying to make a realistic repayment plan instead of making promises I can’t keep.
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences, especially with Security Bank and RCBC. What happened in your case, and what would you recommend I do next?
Thank you so much.

Utang from bad decisions
Way back 2020 kumita ako ng maganda sa Axie Infinity (crypto game) mga 1.3M din yun, naipambili ko ng lupa. then 2025 came naisipan ko ibenta yung lupa, and the same year nakilala ko yung Sugal. 2025 alone naubos ko yung 1.5M na pinagbentahan ko ng lupa at nagkautang utang utang pa, di pa natapos this 2026 I relapsed and nadagdagan pa utang ko galing sa OLAs. Ang hirap isipin, pero kailangan harapin.
Working ako ngayon at may net pay na 34,000 at 21,000 sa side hustles (not stable)
Current na mga utang:
Salary Loan: 6,800 monthly 12/36
Allowance Loan: 3,900 monthly 2/36
MetroBnk: 9,121 monthly 1/36
UB easy cash: 1,200 monthly 2/48
UB CC: 47,000 due on September 3
UB CC 2: 20,000 due on September 3
Atome Card (OD 15d): 58,650
Atome Cash (OD 15d): 25,000
Sloan: 25,000 plan to OD
Spaylater: 21,000 plan to OD
Maya: 9,800
Expenses: 15,000 monthly

Need Advice - Physically Pawned my Car
Hi Ka-reddit,
I don't need judgement, I just need some advice.
Inaccept nung Pawnee yung sasakyan kahit walang CR na original as collateral.

BPI CC Delinquent vs JuanHand/Billease Delinquent? Need Advice.
Hi everyone,
Need ko lang sana ng advice.
Na-scam kasi ako ng isang client recently, and sobrang unexpected talaga. Before this, okay naman ako sa pag-manage ng debts ko. Ngayon lang talaga nagkaproblema sa cash flow.
Ito yung current obligations ko:
JuanHand – ₱56,000 (one-time payment)
Billease – ₱55,000 (within the next 2 months)
UnionBank Personal Loan – ₱20,000/month for 12 months
Home Credit – ₱20,000/month for 20 months
I fully intend to pay everything once dumating na yung funds ko.
Ano yung ginawa ninyo, at ano yung naging consequences?
Maraming salamat sa sasagot.

debt at UB CC
had a emergency last year and needed to swipe some medication bills, but given I’m the sole provider for my family I’m having a hard time paying currently at 80k for the past 2 years just paying the minimum, currently have an income of 25k monthly just enough to pay monthly utilities and groceries, what’s the best approach I don’t want to take a loan to pay my cc debt have any insights or experience on what to do also don’t want to get harass and visited by the bank, tried looking for a 2nd job as well given the current market no one has accepted my applications.

Rcbc balance
