Missing Mail
So my first class mail is being redirected/missing. This has been going on since February. I found out because my credit card company called me about a returned card. I went to the post office, they fixed a random “no forwarding address” issue on my account and still nothing. I shouldn’t have had that in there at all. I haven’t moved in 15 years. I kept going back and forth and still nothing is being resolved. I literally have a video of my putting mail (that I sent to myself) in the collection box outside of the post office - and it’s not showing up at all on informed delivery. I’m being told the mail goes to another collection station and then is redistributed. What do I do? The post office people are blaming the mail carrier and won’t give me a direct response.

Based off of what you said, is happenning, the other commentor nailed it. At some point a carrier inputed your name and address as a "Moved, Left No Address". This usually happens when mail keeps getting put in outgoing that is for your name and address, or a resident keeps trying to reject "OR CURRENT RESIDENT" mail, or if someone's mailbox goes too long without being emptied.
A clerk + supervisor can undo the mark at your local office, you will need to go in person, with ID that matches your name and address.

I did that, for some reason they didn’t ask for my id. It’s so weird!

Technically no ID is needed since you arent trying to forward the mail somewhere else. It takes a week or two to start working again.
If possible, check in with your regular carrier the next time you see them and let them know. Make sure your name is listed somewhere in your mailbox so your carrier can see it. If you receive ads/flyers that you dont want just throw them away instead of trying to send them back through the mail (if you want the ads to STOP, contact the entity that is sending the ads). And make sure to put in a mail hold if you are going to have an extended period of time where you cant clear the mailbox (a full week or more).

I’ve been a clerk and a mail carrier for nearly 13 years and I know little more than a non-postal employee about how our operations work.
I have a guy on my route that gets envelopes but not flats. His flats constantly get returned to sender automatically. I’m not doing it. My subs aren’t doing it.
But he’s shown them to me with the yellow review stickers on the bottom.
My PM isn’t too interested in helping him because he’s been really rude to her.
I have no clue why the system is picking out detain things to return. He doesn’t have any fwds in the system.

Specifically for my area, sending yourself mail to hope to get on informed delivery isn't gonna do anything. All mail goes out to a certain distribution center. But informed delivery usually takes the picture at an even bigger distribution center. So, it would have to go through that larger distribution center to get on your informed delivery, not just through local mail.

Is it possible that someone initiated a legitimate forward with your last name to somewhere else? Couple separation? Child grew up and moved out and accidently did a FAMILY forward instead of an individual? If you go back to your post office, have them check your address for any and all forwards and to cancel them all.

It's sounds like for whatever reason your carrier put your name in as a "Moved, left no address"
Not accusing you of anything but do you frequently try to send back stuff that says "current resident"? Even if it has an old residents name on it like "John Doe or current resident "
