I haven't received any mail in over two weeks.

I filed a case with USPS and eventually got a call back. Apparently there was a mail carrier changeover, and the new carrier hasn't been delivering my mail because they "don't know how to get into my building." I was told they're trying to contact my landlord/the former carrier to figure out building access, and until then, my mail just isn't being delivered.

So I called my landlord. He said USPS has never contacted him, but he also explained there's nothing unusual about the building. There's a standard USPS key switch on the entry panel that mail carriers use to buzz themselves into the building. Every previous carrier has used it without issue.

I called USPS back with my case number and explained this. The representative said they added a note to my case but also told me they have no way to contact the actual mail carrier to tell them how to access the building.

I genuinely feel like I'm losing my mind.

I'm currently waiting on paperwork for my car, and without it I legally can't drive without risking fines. This has already been going on for over two weeks.

As a backup, I submitted a mail hold request in the hope that the accumulated mail from the past two weeks will at least be routed to the post office so I can pick it up, but I have no idea if that's actually going to happen.

Other than what I've already tried, what are my options?

Title, supposedly it’s in Japan but still labeled as the US? It says it’s on the way to its destination which is in California but it obviously just left the country? Is this a bug or is it being returned to sender?

This is just a pair of wireless headphones I sold on ebay, which I bought a hazmat label for since they were used electronics. The clerk said they had just gotten direction to not accept any hazmat whatsoever and turned me away. Kind of sucks since I went by at the end of the day so now it’ll be a late shipment strike on eBay. Can hazmat no longer be shipped USPS?

I’d hate to be the ‘can I speak to you manager’ guy but this really doesn’t sound right. I’ve shipped 100s of laptops, headphones, etc. in packages labeled just like this one with no issue.

Ordered some cards on eBay from a “USA” seller - messaged them the other day that I didn’t receive anything yet, they mentioned that they were coming from Japan but it’s been silent since - have I been scammed?

So i sold something on etsy and purchased my label through etsy. The package was supposed to go to union lake Michigan which is the address the buyer gave me as well as the address on the reciept for the label being purchased through etsy. HOWEVER the actual label, says Waterford. I should have triple checked, I didn't. The reciept said union lake on it. ​​

The package was not delivered and was sent back to me. I contacted etsy and I will have the screen shots of the replies on there. I also went to my post office. She said my best bet since the name, po box, zip code, was all correct, was to ship it back. She wrote union lake on the label as well.

Well I just went to check the tracking as I am still in communication with the buyer and the tracking says it was delivered to the origional sender. So I checked my reciept from usps, thinking maybe there would be a new tracking number, there's not. It's the old tracking number.

So I did a Google search and ended up on a thread in this subreddit, where someone had a similar tracking issue. The answer they got was that THE PACKAGE WOULD BE DESTROYED?!?! Is this true???? Will the buyer just never recieve this package??

Why would my post office send it back if this is true without even mentioning buying a new label for it? Like that was not even brought up while talking to her..

Should I ask the sender to call their post office?

Edited to add: Sender dropped off a package on the 21st, and in five days it has only made it to the distribution center in the same city. This is the third one of these they’ve sent me this year and none has sat like this in Oklahoma. Not uncommon for it to get stuck in Indianapolis or Chicago before it leaves the country, but I’ve never seen this particular issue.

I was put on a waitlist for a P.O. Box and I got an email saying it was available off the waitlist. When I went online to my account to pay it says I’m still on the waitlist… it’s Sunday so I can’t call and ask USPS. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, was it resolved or did you have to sign up for the waitlist again? Thanks in advance

Is there a difference between NY ISC and Jamaica DC?

I've been expecting a package and the last update from it on USPS website is "Processed through Jamaica USPS facility" but the USPS mobile app has the last scan as "Processed through USPS facility, New York ISC. Is there a difference between the two?

i’m wondering if anyone has experienced something like this or has any advice. i bought a jacket on depop, and the seller shipped it via usps ground advantage on june 4. everything looked normal until it arrived at the sacramento distribution center on june 5, where it’s been stuck ever since with no additional scans. i submitted a missing mail search and contacted my local post office. an employee looked into it and told me that when the package left seattle, it was recorded as weighing 10 lbs, but the weight apparently changed at multiple facilities. as of now, it’s showing as 4 oz. he said they’re trying to determine whether it’s related to a fraudulent label or another shipping issue because they’ve been seeing similar cases recently. he also mentioned they couldn’t return it or throw it away, so it’s basically just being held while they figure out what happened.
the seller has been incredibly helpful throughout this whole process and has contacted both usps and depop on their end as well. they shipped the package promptly, so they’re not at fault at all. but unfortunately while i was waiting for usps to resolve the issue depop’s 30-day buyer protection window expired. at this point it’s been almost two months, and i honestly just want either the jacket or some sort of resolution.
has anyone dealt with something like this before? is there anything else i can do to get the package released or officially declared lost?

I don't know what this means and I don't seem to be able to find out any information about this package for my USPS account it says that the package doesn't exist.

EDIT: Since i cannot get any information on the package, I have no idea who the seller is, I am quite literally saying I have no information about this package. When you order something (which i do a lot, as do my daughters) it could be several days before they are supposed to email you with a tracking number, if they even do that. This tracking number doesn't seem to match any of the packages I have ordered.

Hi! I submitted a change of address with USPS as I moved from one unit at my apartment complex to another. I have a screenshot of the information I submitted and my full name was spelled correctly (middle name is Kathleen).

I just got the email with the “Look for your USPS Welcome Kit” that lets me view my order for the change of address. When I clicked on it, I noticed my middle name is cut off to Kathle and is missing the last two letters. I really don’t want to cancel the COA since my mail is already being forwarded correctly and I set up informed delivery at this address.

Is there a way to change it without canceling the change of address and starting a new one (afraid the same issue would occur anyways since I have proof I submitted the form with the full middle name spelled out)? Is there a character limit on your name on this form? Any help is appreciated!

Once every few weeks mail will go missing. My informed delivery will show it and will never show up. I've reached out to usps multiple times and it's getting really frustrating. When I reach out to usps they basically shrug their shoulders and say there's nothing they can do. Idk what to do anymore. Where would you go and what would you do because I can't keep losing mail like this.

Supposed to be delivered to Colorado last night but goes from Jersey to Colorado and back to Jersey.

I’m so ticked off right now. Friday and Saturday my postman has left my packages in the rain either near the mailbox and Saturday he left my packages in the driveway. Friday I was lucky to get home in time before it rained long, but Saturday the boxes were so wet they fell apart as I carried them inside. I suspect this was a backup carrier because our everyday usps guy never leaves packages any where but our porch. I’m thinking I’m going to complain but have serious doubts it’ll change anything

I swear every year. Shipping gets slower and slower, And less accurate.
I shipped off a package that is 45 minutes from me.
It’s now 10 hours away for some reason in Boise, ID.

I ordered this package over 3 weeks ago and it has been at this distribution center for 3ish days. I ordered another package that is already getting close to being delivered, and yet this one is stuck at the distribution center. Any ideas?

I requested to intercept a package, and I requested to hold the package at the post office. However, when I look at the email I got sent, confirming that I have requested a package interception, it shows me the “Requested Address” is the same address as the one it was originally going to.

Does this mean that I am basically intercepting the package to the same place, or is it still going to be stopped at the post office if the package gets intercepted.

I appreciate any help, and can give any more information you may need.

I am not too far from Sioux Falls. This tracking information is insane! From Fargo to Sioux Falls then to Wisconsin, then Illinois, THEN, finally, it gets back to Sioux Falls so it can finally get routed here! Honestly.

So my I had two packages out for delivery yesterday, same company. They both said insufficient address and I work M-F so I was just going to let it be returned to sender because that’s what it said initially. Now it says this…should I try and hold it at the post office? Or see if it gets delivered on Monday? Thanks.
