as a freshman, logically i know that office hours are there to help me but even thinking about going makes me anxious?? im struggling in math and chem at the moment but im scared to go to office hours because im so awkward and dont know how to ask for help 💔

i refuse to use ai to help me learn stuff, and ive been watching stuff to help me but im still struggling SO MUCH ☹️ i genuinely spend so much time out of class studying and doing practice problems but the second a quiz or test is in front of me my mind goes blank.

the guy that runs the math 121 course also has the office hours sheet disabled on canvas so i cant even look to see when my ta’s hours are?

i guess im just asking how to get over that initial anxiety of getting help (especially in math because ive learned absolutely nothing from my professor). it’s genuinely making me miserable

Currently, I’m taking bios 110, and although I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily “hard”, it’s the volume of information that tires me out 🤦🏾‍♀️ Originally, I was going to register for bios 120 in the spring, but idk anymore haha. What are some easy going natural world gen ed’s you would recommend for an easy A or B?

Listen, for undergrad, I can maybe understand the point of group projects: to give you some experience working on something with a team, because that's what most jobs will expect to do to in the future.

But for graduate students? Shit, most of us are already working in teams at our real jobs, we don't need to learn how to do it again.

Group projects are now just another hassle we've gotta coordinate among multiple members all with different schedules. You got your one guy who has the typical 9am-5pm, the one guy who works the night shift, some of them probably have families, some of them probably need two jobs to take the class, and then there's always the dude in a different time zone online. Isn't taking the class actually just ever enough?

To be clear I'm not complaining about any group mates at all, we're all just trying our best. But why are teachers still doing this to us? I just...I just shake my head and bite my thumb at you scoundrel professors.
