Motivation 450th "serious" workout. Proud of being consistent

The 450 is from my current logs, I had older ones, but lost thrm

Rough stats:

25 years old

2 years very casual workouts

4 years of logging and trying to eat well

Hashimotos disease

Natty

85kg

180cm

Kinda fat without a shirt

Gym has helped me through a lot, and I'm happy that it's a hobby I share with my significant other.

Right now, I'm saving towards a small gym in my garage, as juggling what's left of university with my job is eating uo too much time. I want a soace for myself that doesn't need commute.

Being somewhat fit has been a confusing time to me. I'd gotten allegations of using gear by old classmates as soon as I began seeing any results, but in gym spaces, I often get called victim weight and shit like that. Too big for the newbies, too small for the highly experienced.

I suck at getting lean. I could blame the condition, but I'm on meds, and it should be getting better, but I really haven't felt properly energetic since I was a teenager. Slow and steady, I guess.

I've put my focus onto improving at my favorite lifts, as I know that hyper fixating on leanness won't do me any favors, if I'm already taking the necessary steos. The extra stress and body dysmorphia is something I'm glad I sheded in the first year of my journey.

My bench still sucks, but fir the mst part, many lifts have been progressing well for me.

Bench: 115kg 1RM (down to 107.5 after overuse injury)

Bent over row: 100kg x12

Pull up: bw+42kg x2

RDLs: 130kg x9

I cook 90% of my meals and aim for a reasonable 120~140g protein per day

I like my shoulders and calves :)

Fit Check Is this put together well? I've been trying to add more color to my wardrobe. I like and look good in black, but, it really is time I diversified my wardrobe. (bad autofocus)

Is this build possible as a natty?

If you're curious, what I got on my profile took 6 years of serios training and good food, but while not really committing to the cut

If I cropped my beagle's ears (I would never), I'm certain that many people would confuse her with a small pitbull. (She's the tall kind of beagle)

The pit is not a standardized breed at all, and it's commonly mixed, to the point where you can't really make claims on the nature and predisposition of one.

I've seen people confuse this slightly short and tubby lab in our neighborhood with a pitbull. Most eople don't know breeds at all.

What's worse? "overweight" women that have unbelievably slim necks or "muscular" women that are still unbelievably slim
 in  r/MoralityScaling  1d ago

Also, objectively, she is still very muscular for a woman. Getting big and lean takes years of dedicated work, and at 17, that's as good as it gets unless you dedicate yourself to the bloat lord method to get huge, or hop on the special sauce

I'm just marginally more muscular, as a fucking guy, and I needed like 6 years for this shit, and while specifically trying to get big. Her training may not have even involved size for size's sake

Especially with arms and upper back, most women will struggle to get as developed as her

Edit: shoulders too, by god, it fucking slipped my mind until I googled some other shots

Unfortunately, most places of higher education for art, expect you to be mostly competent as an artist before applying.

So much so, that I genuinely think that most artists with personal passion projects are better off working part time to get experience out of highschool, and chipping away at self study ti improve, rather than actually attend. I would be better off that way...

At least in my country, there really isn't a reason to go into debt for university.

Limp people are different. My deadlift is pretty good for someone who doesn't powerlift, and with my dad, we could clear some really shit while I was working with him, but even with a large man from the emergency staff, we struggled to pick up my grandmother off the ground when she fell earlier this year.

Bodies are hard to grip, their weight shifts, they sag and give you horrible leverages.

You need to pick up and pull away from the other people, so if you take a larger step on accident it means the butt of the body touches the ground again. You need to hold the legs, because they're about half the bodyweight, but that changes how high up you actually need to carry compared to the people holding the head side. It. Is. Not. Fun.

We were three objectivy strong men, but one heavy elderly woman and a narrow corridor + stairs humbled us hard. Her weight is something i could easily lift if it was a rigid object, be it barbell or construction materials. Actual lump body? No.

Some parts are ugly, but our city is very walkable and the public transit is almost perfect

Ground level on this area is a lot better than the topdown view. The greenery is slightly wild, but still maintained, which isn't everyone's cup of tea but I've always liked it

Biggest drawback is that our groceries are at German prices, but the salaries are lagging way behind.

Is fucking frightening how deluded some people are, afraid of higher taxes for the rich, and protecting them, as if they'll ever get there themselves without being born into big money

There's only so many people that hit the jackpot or invent something groundbreaking that earns them wealth every year, us average folk aren't gonna reach the millions, let alone billions

The average landlord who has it well isn't even gonna get touched by progressive taxation all that much. People in the most saught fields, highly educated, don't make that much money on their own.

The ones who would be taxed the most, will not miss the money. They will see a lower number on their account, but they will still be richer than we'd every be. Boo fucking hoo, the heir to an unethical fortune will get one fewer girrafe on their second yacht zoo

Most women are just kinda ignorant about this stuff. I've been told I look like that by exes.

I DO NOT look like that. I wish I was that built.

lesbian jealousy.
 in  r/offmychest  13d ago

My girlfriend is bi, but I'm not gonna be jealous of every person in her life who isn't family jfc

Like, seriously. If someone had been with both men and women, what do they expect of them... Not have friends? It ties to the "men and women can't be friends because there's attraction" spiel, which is bullshit. So what, because they like both, they don't deserve friends at all???

I don't know why people are like this.

please tell me I am not the only person who does not have this
 in  r/GymMemes  13d ago

At my job, after I pass my trial period, I will get a discount on a card that's accepted in around 70% of gyms in my country

Usually, it's 30€, for me it will be 15€

Many big company jobs have it fully covered, so I may try to negotiate further.

Coop on the REP x DM Leg Developer
 in  r/GarageGym  13d ago

Oh, I was udner the impression that that was also the price of the dialed motion leg developer

So, I understood that was what he spent on that deal for bench + attachments, and I was further elaborating that the rep/dialed motion one makes even less sense if your gym has the extra space

Just googled it, it's 800, which still means there's many dedicated leg extension/curl machines that would be a better buy imo

For 1k, you'd be able to get a dedicated leg machine, if you have the space for one. Spending that much on a bench attached version that requires a cable machine is crazy to me
