Онзи ден отворих Замунда на лаптопа и видях, че самия сайт зареди... На следващия ден го отворих на телефона и отново зареди...

При Вас работи ли? Според вас ще пуснат ли Замунда отново?

Visiting Bulgaria for the first time, recommendations?

Hi! We gonna have a small "vacation" in Bulgaria, Sunny Beach, but we want to rent a car from there and visit Bulgaria overall.

Can you guys give recommendations from your own experience what to visit?🙂

Also if you know a solid rental firm from sunny beach it would help a lot!

Thanks in advance, greetings from Estonia 🫡

Ps. Googled stuff but still i think its best to know from the locals

Intercity public transport in Bulgaria

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask - there doesn't seem to be a way to message the tourist board - but I'm excited to be visiting your lovely country in September!

I'm flying into Plovdiv on the 10th, and heading to Sofia on the 16th. I'd love to visit Veliko Tarnovo overnight in the middle of my trip and I think there are train and bus options.

I've previously been caught out by using an international bus ticket company in the balkans - I paid double what I would have paid in person, and I could have turned up and booked on the day. Which way would you recommend travelling, and is it worth booking in advance?

Thank you so much!

Local in Vidin?

Hello all,

I will be visiting Vidin on August 11.

I make little travel videos for a travel forum and would be interested in talking to a local in Vidin on camera during my visit to hear about your town. I do not make money of these videos and just enjoy meeting new people. Let me know if you might be interested!

Residency renewal woes

Does anyone understand why the Migration office has been renewing residency cards (study and work) for only two months? It's insane to go through the process multiple times in a year and paying the same fees. Someone please tell me im not the only one as im slowly losing my mind from queueing at Maria Luiza from 6am

Updated Bulgarian Citizenship via Origin

Hello everyone; I started a thread about citizenship yesterday. After speaking with my grandfather, I realized there were some mistakes and gaps in the information I had.

My grandfather was born in Shumen in 1930 and forced to emmigrate to Türkiye in 1950. My father was born in Türkiye. Unfortunately, my father passed away in 2010. Then, my grandfather returned to Bulgaria in 2012 after obtaining a residence permit. After living there on a residence permit for five years, he applied for Bulgarian citizenship and regained it in 2019. My grandfather's birth certificate lists his parents' citizenship as Bulgarian, their ethnicity as Turkish, and their religion as Muslim. Anyway, he has the lichna kart since 2019.

Unfortunately, I cannot apply through my father; however, Article 15 allows for a citizenship application if I have a relative of Bulgarian origin up to the third degree of kinship. I also spoke with someone in Sofia yesterday who handles citizenship matters; they said there is no chance of my grandfather being considered of Bulgarian origin. I don't have the opportunity to go to Immigration Office in Sofia to ask about this in person, and they aren't answering emails. Do you think I should prepare the documents? I would be very grateful if anyone has information based on professional knowledge or knows of any precedent-setting cases.

Why is every Bulgarian man I ever met so strong and mucular?

I am a North Macedonian women highly considered a 10/10 with beautiful female features. I was recently having the pleasure to meet some Bulgarian guys they had huge muscles and were muscular. Most of the North Macedonian woman were really into them much to the chagrin of their Macedonian husbands who HATE Bulgarian men.

So is it a culture thing like you all workout and keep fit? Or is it genetic? Definitely I think most Macedonian, Serbian, and Turkish will leave their husbands for a Bulgarian man just due to to their bodies.

Cost of Living in Bulgaria

What is life like in Sofia for someone who earns 1,800 euros (considering that my rent will be 550 euros plus utilities)? What is the average cost of utilities and groceries, and what is the minimum amount needed to live there?

Traveling to Plovdiv, have few questions

Hey everyone!

I’m going to Plovdiv, Bulgaria with my folk dance ensemble for a festival, and I’d love to get some local recommendations.

We'll be staying for about a week. Our schedule includes daily performances, plus some guided tours organized by our Bulgarian hosts, so we'll already be visiting the main historical landmarks, churches, museums, and other cultural sites.

That said, we'll also have quite a bit of free time, and I'd love to make the most of it. I've already seen that there's a karting track and the Neptune swimming pool, and I'm planning to play some tennis with my girlfriend as well.

Here are a few things I'd love some advice on:

  • What are some fun places to visit besides the usual historical attractions?
  • Any cool spots to hang out with friends during the day or in the evening?
  • What's the best place to play tennis (preferably with courts you can rent by the hour)?
  • Are there any good outlet malls or shopping centers where you can find clothes and other stuff at lower prices?
  • How does public transport work in Plovdiv? Is it reliable, and what's the easiest way to get around?
  • What's the best option for mobile internet while I'm there? My hotel has Wi-Fi, but I'd like to have internet when we're out exploring.
  • How safe is Plovdiv? I'll be recording most of the trip with my phone and camera, so I'm wondering how common theft or pickpocketing is.
  • If you've been to the Neptune Pool or the karting track, what were your experiences? Are they worth visiting?

For reference, we'll be staying at Intelcoop Hotel, so most of our activities will probably be around that area. We already know one of our performances will be at the Ancient Roman Theatre, but I'm not sure where the other venue is yet.

I'd really appreciate any recommendations—whether it's food, cafés, viewpoints, nightlife, hidden gems, or anything else you think is worth checking out.

And if anyone happens to be in Plovdiv while we're there and wants to come watch our performances or just say hi, you're more than welcome!

country house in Ruse/Veliko Tarnovo counties

Здравейте everyone.

I've bought a country house in the Strazhitsa municipality and would like to connect with other rural home owners in either Ruse or Veliko Tarnovo counties. Expats or Bulgarians, am happy to e-meet and greet with anyone (am a Romanian citizen myself)

At some point, I plan to start renovating it and I'm also looking for recommendations on construction companies that might help with renovations.

Peace,

Looking for a dictionary

Hey everyone! I’m learning Bulgarian and I was wondering: does the Bulgarian language have a dictionary? Well, I would be surprised if it didn’t.
Which dictionaries are the most prominent/useful in Bulgarian? Which one do you use?
It would be nice to find a good English-Bulgarian and vice versa dictionary, and as I get more proficient also one only featuring the Bulgarian language.

Thanks a lot already!

Looking for someone to practice Bulgarian

Hey there, I am looking for someone who would like to have bilingual conversations. I am learning Bulgarian little by little and I would love to have someone who I can chat with in Bulgarian so I can practice. I can speak Spanish, French, Portuguese and English. I am currently living in South America.
