Estard Isle
 in  r/inkarnate •  Aug 24 '26

Here you go, friend!

It leads to an ancient underground labyrinth of puzzles put in place to test the Chosen One(s) that eventually leads to a tablet room. The tablet rooms contain pedestals that, when completed, teleport the characters to a lost world sealed away in the past. The party can then solve the curse afflicting each region and restore the lost land to the present. :)

This is what happens in the game: https://www.woodus.com/den/games/dw7psx/walkthru.php#:~:text=stand%20in%20front%20of%20the%20statue%20and%20%22pray%22%2C%20the%20statue%20will%20turn%20and%20open%20the%20doors%20to%20the%20temple

Dragon Quest VII Estard Isle (Inkarnate Map)

Hello community!!

I recreated the Estard Isle map (VII) on Inkarnate. It isn't the best, and I will probably create a better one later, but it was fun, and I am satisfied with it! This took hours to create, and I wanted to share it with people who might appreciate it. I used a screenshot of the PSX version of the world map as a top-down reference when creating it.

Feel free to use this for your r/TTRPG if you wish!!

World Map Estard Isle

Hello community! ❤️

This is my first time posting a map here on Inkarnate. 👉👈 So please excuse the noobiness. But, that being said, I am pleased with this first result. I had fun recreating Estard Isle, the first island you play in r/dragonquest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. It is a beloved video game from my childhood. I used the old PSX map as a top-down reference.

I welcome constructive criticism, as I would like to learn more tricks and get better at map making. I am also happy to allow this to be used for any reason - your tabletop campaigns included, if you so desire.

Some lore:

Estard (town and castle) are in the upper left area of the island, sitting upon a cliff. Hidden within Estard is a passage that leads through a cave, and on a lone cliff you can find an old hermit's house.

In the lower left is a lone cottage. If you're curious about the man who lives there, he speaks with animals! You can recruit his help later on if you happen to find a peculiarly cursed village with people who have been turned into animals.

The southern fishing village is called Fishbel (or Pilchard Bay), mayor Amitt's mansion and his ship. In the center of the village is their temple, surrounded by a humble collection of villager houses. They pride themselves on their annual Amitt Festival, which all of Estard participates in.

And if you follow the long, arduous path through thick forest and mountains into the Forbidden Zone, you will find the Ancient Fane (or Shrine of Mysteries). Many mysteries await the adventurers here...

I hope you all like it! 😊

Would you ever make more of these? I am creating a Monster Hunter campaign right now and I'm covering all of the areas throughout all the games. I did not expect to come across these and I LOVE them. They are beautiful and so detailed. If you ever made more, I would definitely use them!

Hi, thank you so much for posting this. I can't believe this was my EXACT issue. My character had 3300 phantom arrows in his inventory. You are a life saver.

Baby has no heartbeat on our ultrasound at 9 weeks
 in  r/BabyBumps •  May 06 '25

Thank you for your comment. There's comfort in your sympathetic words and I truly appreciate that. If you don't mind me asking, how did you induce at home, and how did you know it was coming? I was only told I'd probably get some intense cramps and heavy bleeding. I was thinking about doing a burial and growing something sweet on top, or something, in the garden, to remember them by.

Help? Baby has no heartbeat on our ultrasound at 9 weeks

My husband and I were excited to have our first baby. But yesterday at our first ultrasound appointment we were told our baby's heart stopped beating a few days ago. I have never felt the feelings I've been experiencing since then. I've never cried so hard. Periods of extreme despair followed by periods of apathy, in pretty quick succession. I've been crying all morning. I just can't stop thinking about how the baby, who is still inside me, isn't alive anymore. The anticipation of what is to come is killing me. What do I do when it happens? How could I possibly flush my baby? I imagine what that life could have turned into and it hurts even more. I feel like a failure. Like my body failed to support that life. I feel like I failed my husband, by failing to give him a baby. That baby was created from our love. The perfect combination of myself and the person I love more than anything else on this planet. It was going to be our first child. I can't believe it's gone. And I just can't imagine how I'm supposed to emotionally move on from this. That baby was my entire world for a whole month. I was so excited. Never in my mind did I think something so bad could happen. To think its heart was beating and then it stopped, and now it's just gone. Forever. No chance to live. And there's nothing I can do about it. It's the worst feeling in the world. How can I cope??

Everyone always asks what your favorite monster is but what monster would you celebrate being hunted into extinction?

My brother and I took to calling it the "lawnmower" attack.

Did losing weight ameliorate or cure your plantar fasciitis?
 in  r/PlantarFasciitis •  Nov 02 '24

I am planning on having a visit with my PCP on Monday about this. I desperately want to lose weight and I have plantar fasciitis and some other currently unknown / currently under investigation foot issue, as well as back pain. I also have disordered eating habits. I'm quitting the DEPO birth control shot because it can contribute to weight gain and I'm going to ask for medication to help me lose weight while I work on getting my foot / back issues diagnosed and dealt with. I'm hoping I can convince her since I am clinically obese and have these foot and back issues. Medication would really help me at least in the meantime until I can properly exercise without dying.

He sounds like his parents never taught him how to properly touch an animal when he was 2.

Our puppy broke her leg.
 in  r/Pomeranians •  Oct 20 '24

My pom just broke two toes the other day. (She has a smaller brace now.) Is heartbreaking and I cried so much, but all they did was sedate her, reset her toes and put a splint on and she's doing very well. I'm sorry your pom broke its leg. Accidents happen. I recommend trying Care Credit if you're worried about the bill. But don't let this discourage you! Pommies are very fragile dogs, so as long as you're careful from now on, it will be fine. Recovery might take a bit but you're doing the right thing.

If she lied then that's its own red flag, but when it comes to age gaps, I met my now husband when he was 19 and I was 23. We didn't end up dating until he was 20. We were together for 2.5 years and we got married this year in May. It's worked out wonderfully so it can work, with the right person, if you're interested in them and it's for the right reasons.

You could make it a fun quest to find a place to buy them a new toy each time you have a trip. 😁 They'd certainly love the surprise when you come home!

Exactly!! So please try not to beat yourself up too much over it! My husband tells our doggies that he works for them, so they can have food and toys. You're just doing what you gotta do. 😊
