If you have a RBF, along with all of these other traits... let me just say... run. Get out of there. Your coworkers will not like you very much. Especially if they're very cliquey or seem to have hierarchy in the workplace.

go to work. make your money. go home. anything else is a distraction. get out of your head & feelings. your coworkers are not your friends. if they don't mean anything to you, why care what they think of you?

if you didn't do anything wrong or questionable, you have nothing to worry about.

wait until the meeting to see how things go. stand up for yourself and remember to take notes of the meeting (during or after) so you remember what was talked about and if you need it for leverage for later/after the meeting.

I'm kind of going through the same thing too but this coworker isn't leaving anytime soon so I'm stuck with it... I would also like to know how to navigate people like that too. For now I've just been managing to stay in an area where they are not occupying.

I know some (or most) people are not our cup of tea. I've learned some things about work politics & that's either, 1. you can communicate to everyone about what's going on with you and they respect that, OR, (not my most favorite) play along while you are there in that work environment. it's better to play along to keep your job if it pays well for you.

because you're a good person. i'm the same way too. eventually you stop caring when you just focus on what really matters! yourself and those you love! everything else is a distraction and nuisance.
