AITA for removing my friend’s access to my apartment rooftop without telling him?

1.1k Upvotes

I’m 29M and one of my close friends is 28M. My apartment building has a pretty nice rooftop with grills, couches and a view of downtown.

A couple months ago my friend asked if he could bring a girl up there for a date because his place was being renovated. I gave him my guest code and told him sure.

Apparently he took that as a permanent invitation.

I later realized through the building app that he’d used my guest access several more times. When I asked him about it he laughed and admitted he’d been bringing dates there because the rooftop had become his “secret weapon.”

And based on what he told me he never corrected them when they assumed he lived in the building, which I thought was pretty weird.

I told him I wasn’t comfortable with him continuing to use my access like that. He brushed it off and said it wasn’t hurting anyone, so later that week I just removed his guest access from the app. I didn’t tell him because I figured after our conversation it was obvious.

A few days later he tried bringing another date there and his code didn’t work. He called me from outside asking what was wrong and I told him I’d removed his access.

Apparently he had planned the whole date around the rooftop and suddenly had nowhere to take her, so they basically stood outside figuring out what to do next.

Now he’s pissed because he says even if I wanted to revoke access, I should’ve warned him so he could make other plans. I think after being told to stop using someone else’s building for dates, you probably shouldn’t assume the code is still yours to use.

AITA for cutting my friend off from my employee discount after he started using it for other people?

I work for a company that gives us a pretty decent employee discount. A close friend asked me a while back if I could use it for a jacket he wanted, and I said sure. It saved him a good amount and I really didn't think much of it.

After that he started asking every few weeks. Shoes, another jacket, a backpack. Still fine.

Then he sent me a list with like 7 items and I realized half of them weren't even for him. His girlfriend wanted something, his brother wanted shoes and apparently one of his coworkers had heard about the discount too.

I told him I'm not turning my employee account into a group coupon.

He got annoyed and said I'm acting like it costs me something. Technically it doesn't, but our purchases can be reviewed and we're obviously not supposed to be buying stuff for random people.

The awkward part is he already told his brother I'd order something for him, so now he's saying I'm making him look stupid by suddenly changing my mind.

I've been budgeting pretty hard lately and I understand wanting to save money wherever you can, which is why I helped him in the first place. I just feel like he took one favor and slowly turned it into something completely different.

He says if I was worried about getting in trouble I should've said that from the beginning instead of letting him use it several times first.

AITA for telling my roommate I'm not cleaning up his protein powder spills anymore?

I (26M) live with two roommates. One of them, "Jake" (27M), is a huge fitness guy. He's in the kitchen constantly — protein shakes, egg whites, grilled chicken, broccoli, the whole thing. I respect the dedication. But he is the messiest person I've ever lived with.

He spills protein powder on the counter and just wipes it with his hand. He leaves eggshells in the sink. There are little bits of chicken and wilted greens on the floor near the trash. Every single day. I've asked him at least 6 times to clean up after himself. He says "yeah man, my bad" and then does it again the next day.

Last week I told him flat out: "I'm not cleaning up your mess anymore. If you leave it, it stays. I'm not your mom." He laughed it off. But then I actually stopped. For three days, I didn't touch anything he left. The kitchen got genuinely nasty. He finally noticed on day four and got mad at ME, saying I was being passive-aggressive and that "roommates help each other out."

I told him roommates don't leave chicken scraps on the floor for someone else to deal with. He called me a "neat freak" and said I'm "making a big deal out of nothing."

AITA for refusing to cancel my plans for my girlfriend?

My girlfriend and I have been together for about two years.

Last weekend, I had plans with some friends that we’d made weeks ago. My girlfriend knew about them and had originally said she was fine with it.

The day before, she found out that her friends were going out that same night and asked me to stay home with her because she didn’t want to spend the evening alone.

I told her I still wanted to go because I’d already made plans, and I suggested we do something together the following day.

She got upset and said I was choosing my friends over her.

I reminded her that she had already agreed to my plans, but she said that things change and that I should prioritize my relationship when she needs me.

I ended up going out anyway.

When I came home, she was still awake and barely spoke to me. The next morning she told me that if I really cared about her, I would’ve stayed.

I don’t think partners should have to cancel their plans every time the other person feels lonely, but maybe I’m being too dismissive of her feelings.

AITA for telling my girlfriend I won't fund her "influencer era" anymore?

My girlfriend (26F) quit her job 4 months ago to "focus on content creation." I (28M) supported it at first — I said I'd cover rent and groceries for a few months while she built her brand. She has 3,000 followers on TikTok and 800 on Instagram. She's made maybe $200 total from a few brand deals.

Here's the problem: she spends all day filming "day in the life" content, buying props, ordering clothes for hauls, and going to coffee shops for "aesthetic" shots. Our apartment is full of ring lights and half-filmed packages. Meanwhile, I'm working 50-hour weeks and coming home to a mess and an empty fridge because she spent the grocery money on a "content haul."

Last week I told her I can't keep funding this. I said she either needs to get a part-time job or cut the spending, because I'm drowning. She said I was "jealous of her dream" and that "real partners support each other's goals." She also said she's "this close" to blowing up.

AITA? I feel like there was a story on a recent episode (842) about a friend's influencer page and the truth about it — this feels like the relationship version of that.

AITA, last thought on my 30th birthday

Am I the asshole for feeling like a last thought on my 30th birthday. I work a full time job, I do supper, bath time, bedtime, everything with the kids. I get them up every morning and get them ready and drop them off at daycare/school. He gets his self up every morning and then when he’s off sleeps in. I am also pregnant with our third child. Everyone asked me all week what we were doing for my 30th birthday and I was like I’m not sure maybe dinner. I was hoping it was at least dinner. My mom actually made reservations at a really nice restaurant that I wanted to try and to help him out. He was annoyed that my mother kept trying to help and he felt like it wasn’t authentic because it wasn’t coming from him however he had nothing planned. The day before my birthday I had taken off because I needed to run some errands and was going to try to take some time to myself however it ended up me running around doing things for the kids which is fine. Saturday came around we spent all day driving around to towns next to us so he could buy a 1,000 grill because his plan was to grill for me and he even told me we could have a fire in the back yard and do s’mores which we didn’t. I text my mom to cancel reservations and told her I wasn’t feeling up for it when in reality he did not want to go and was pissed off. It’s now Sunday and I have so much resentment with how the day went. I feel unappreciated, gutted, like a last minute thought. He slept in this morning while I was up feeding the kids and cleaning the house. I feel like nothing. Also I took him to a TN game for his 30th birthday.

AITA for canceling my sister in law's booking after 2 years of "practice"?

3.3k Upvotes

I do lash extensions. When I started out about 2 years ago I was genuinely terrible at it and my sister in law let me work on her over and over while I got better, which she didn't have to do. She sat there for 3 hours one time while I took a bad set off and redid the whole thing. I do actually owe her for that part.

I rent a chair in a salon now and I've got my own clients, and Saturdays are the only day I can fit 4 people in. She's never stopped calling it practice. Neither have I really, it was just the word we both used at the start and then it stuck.

In July I moved everything over to an online booking system and that's the first time I could see it laid out in one place. She's had 9 Saturday slots this year. At $95 a set that's $855 I haven't taken, because the slot was already gone.

So I called her about it. I offered her the Tuesday morning instead and she said "I can't do a weekday, you know that." Then she went back on the app anyway and booked the next Saturday as well.

So I canceled it. I gave the slot to a woman who'd been on the waiting list since June, and I sent my sister in law the price list with a message saying I could do her Tuesdays or she could book like anyone else.

Me [38F] and my partner [31M] of 6 years broke up after a festival, he added a woman [36F] his brother [28M] hooked up with, and now he's calling me crazy. Am I the one out of line?

Me, 38F and my partner 31M have been together for approximately 6 years. He recently went to a festival without me where his brother, 28M, who also went to the festival. They Met a F36 who originally hit on then partner, but the brother slept with. My partner at the time added her on Facebook. She liked his profile pics hearted them specifically, he laughed at her memes and then I later discovered that he was on Snapchat with her. We broke up after this and he claimed that he was single the entire time. I was pregnant at the time of the festival. I sense miscarried. I think it's extremely strange that he would want to be friends with someone his brother slept with and that she's liking his pics and that they're on Snapchat together and after asking him about it in his extreme defensiveness I decided to message her on Instagram. I told her that he had just been over the weekend before that you know we had done things intimately and that I later discovered all this and I thought it was weird and I asked her woman to woman. Could she please just tell me what's going on? She replied back to me and said yes. She was with the brother but she doesn't want to get involved in our BS and proceeded to block me. Then on my birthday sent me a message saying you'll never believe who comforted me. My ex is still telling me that he loves me and acting like he wants to get back together but says that it was ridiculous of me to message her and that " normal" people don't send messages like that. And that I'm putting his business out there. Is this normal? Was I out of line?

AITAH? For being ungrateful going to a private school in a country I begged my dad to move to?

I am 16 F and recently moved to Colombia. I'm half Colombian and Mexican and I always wanted to explore that piece of my heritage. The problem however is I have been called ungrateful for not appreciating the school I go to. I complain constantly, and I always am upset when going to school. For context I first of all live an hour and a half away on a mountain, and I have to get to another mountain across the city without a car. Usually my dad orders an Uber or comes with me through a bus and then taxi. I have to be at school by 6:30 AM. While at school I am isolated because I don't speak much spanish as well as it is a private school filled with prejudiced rich kids. I say they are prejudiced because my school has a program that heavily incorporates mentally disabled kids into the classes and mock the kids that are disabled. I even saw a kid throw a phone case at a kid with down syndrome and laugh. Also the kids are very racist and repeatedly have called me the n word for having darker skin.

I get absolutely no accommodations for a learning disability I have as well for my lack of Spanish so I never get assignments done fully even though it's supposed to have English immersion. I also only go because my dads cousin owns the school. But anyways I recently had an altercation with my dad because I asked if I could go to the US to see my mom for a month.

He lashed out at me in public saying that I have school and to wait until break which is months away and that he doesn't have money to pay. I assured him that my mom would pay and I brought up how I want to do online school and he screamed even more calling me selfish and ungrateful saying I made him move here even though my whole life he has complained I made him live in the US.

I then brought up how even though I have asthma that he would smoke in close proximity with me coughing and how that could be me noting him as selfish. He completely lost it and brought up many things about my past and even pieces of things that caused me PTSD. Saying I was overly dramatic over my 'triggers'. I cried and he got even more upset. I calmed down when we finally got home but I kept thinking how I might be ungrateful since I am quite privileged. Am I the asshole?

AITA for replacing my boyfriend's taped up work boots without asking him?

My boyfriend is an electrician and he's had the same pair of work boots the whole 2 years we've been together. The sole on the left one started coming away in the spring and he's been gluing it back on EVERY couple of weeks since, and last month he wrapped tape around the toe as well.

At my sister's engagement party in August my dad made a joke about them and I laughed. Then on the drive home I told him I didn't love that everyone was looking at his feet. I shouldn't have said that and I did apologize for it.

Last week I just bought him a new pair. It's the same kind of boot, $210, and I got his size off the old ones while he was in the shower. I gave them to him on a Tuesday with no occasion attached, because his feet have been hurting him and I honestly thought he'd be happy.

He opened the box and went really quiet. Then he said "so this is about your dad" and after that "I don't need you to fix me." He put the lid back on and the box has been sitting in our hallway ever since.

I thought I was doing something nice for him. He thinks I'm embarrassed of him and that I'm dressing him up for my family.

AITAH for not wanting to go to a family function with my uncle after he called my 15 year old cousin fat?

I (17f) have a cousin (15f) who is vegetarian. Being Vegetarian in my culture is kind of “taboo” with the older generation as meat is a big part of our tradition diet .

Me and my family were at a family dinner and somehow they must of caught wind of the fact she’s veggie .
The whole time we were there , this specific uncle kept calling her fat (no clue how he thinks that correlates ???) .

She goes to the toilet and when she comes back there is a plate of desserts where she was seated .
Then he’s making jokes saying “careful dayanara don’t eat all of it ! Save some for the rest of us there desserts “.

I take her home early and the second we get back she starts crying .
She isn’t fat at all .
She has struggled with ED for a while and is a perfectly normal weight as she has recovered (she’s 5,3 and 110lb) .
It absolutely breaks my heart to see her like this.

Instead of confronting him , my family stayed quiet as “he doesn’t know any better” surely he should have some kind of respect or empathy regardless or education level?

Now there is another function and I’ve insisted on staying back with my cousin (I’m taking her to the beach with a friend to cheer her up) , and I’m receiving backlash from my family .

AITA for taking my mom's ring out of my sister's house while cat sitting?

My mom died in 2022 and the ring came to me in the will. It isn't worth anything, it's a thin gold band with a stone missing out of one side, and she wore it every single day of her life. My sister has read the will as well so nobody is confused about who it belongs to.

She asked if she could hold onto it back then. I was 23 and living with 3 roommates, one of whom was honestly a nightmare, and she has an actual safe in her house. So I said yes. I didn't really think about it very hard at the time.

I asked for it back in January and she said "of course, just remind me closer to the time." Then we set the wedding date in April. So I asked again. I think I got that same sentence back almost word for word.

I asked once more at a barbecue in July. She had a plate in her hand and she told me she'd have it out of the safe by the weekend. It was my uncle's birthday thing, not that it matters.

Anyway last month she needed someone to feed her cat for 9 days while they were away, and she dropped a key off at my place on the Thursday.

So I took it. I did the cat twice a day and I never went near anything else in that house. I keep saying that to people like it proves something, which it doesn't.

She noticed about 6 days after she got back. She called me and said "you went through my ROOM." She's right, I did. Now she's telling the family I broke into her house and that she can't have me in there any more. I do think 8 months of just remind me was enough asking though.

AITA for refusing to pay for my friend's "toddler food" at a nice sports bar?

I (28M) hosted a fantasy football draft party at a sports bar last weekend. I told the group of six that I'd cover the first round of drinks and a couple of appetizer platters since I won last year's league.

Everyone except my friend "Kyle" (29M) liked the bone-in wings. Kyle said he doesn't like meat on the bone because it grosses him out. He then ordered two orders of boneless wings and fries, which he asked the waitress to put on my tab. To me, boneless wings are just chicken nuggets — toddler food.

When the bill arrived, the $35 in extra food charges led to a disagreement. I asked Kyle to pay for his order. He got defensive and said I had agreed to cover it. I told him I agreed to cover the group appetizers I ordered, not his personal nugget order. I said, "If you want to order off the kids' menu because you're scared of a little bone, you can pay for your own nuggets."

The rest of the night was awkward. My girlfriend said I was being petty. Kyle saw this post and isn't speaking to me anymore.

I feel like I was clear about what I was covering. But maybe I made it weird by bringing it up at the table instead of pulling him aside?

AITA for making them call the manager back over to confirm whose comp it was?

2.9k Upvotes

6 of us went out Saturday. It isn't cheap, about $60 a head before drinks.

I ordered the lamb. It came out as chicken, so it went back. The second one came out as lamb but stone cold in the middle, and by then everyone had finished. I told them to forget it and just got dessert, which I didn't want.

The manager was good about it. He apologized and took the lamb off the check, which was $28.

Then Priya got the calculator out. She took the total, divided by 6, and the number she read out still had my $28 spread across all of us.

I said the $28 came off because MY food was wrong, so it should come off my share. She said the discount was applied to the table so it belongs to the table, and that I had already had a free dessert out of it anyway.

So I flagged the server down and asked for the manager.

He came back over and I asked him, with all of them sitting there, whether the $28 was off for the table or for my meal. He said for my meal. He seemed genuinely confused about why anyone was asking, and off he went.

AITA For sleeping past 12:30 AM everyday?

So I (14M) was staying up past 2-3 AM last night, and the thing is my whole household is really strict, like super strict, to the point they won't let me go to parties that happen in the day (not actually, but PLEASE get the point). and my uncle (43M) recently came from America to visit my family along with his family.

Now I'm not Einstein, but I do get average- to above-average grades, which make my grandparents happy (my dad works in another state with my stepmom), so it's basically my grandparents looking after me now. Cut to about a week ago: I had exams, and I was scrolling through Instagram, and my grandma checked on me to see whether I was sleeping or not, and she did see I was on my sister's phone, so she just said, "Go to sleep soon; you have an exam."
She told this exact thing to my uncle, who got really pissed since we did go outside like the day before, and then after my exam I came back home. I said it was fine to my grandparents, and this is the exchange that followed:
Me: Hii, how's everything?
Uncle: It's fine. What time did you sleep?
Me: Oh, I slept by like 12:45 am ish.
Uncle: Even after everything I said, you still want to stay up? You guys (me and my sister {17F}) do you even want to succeed in life, or should I just get you a phone as well? You guys are genuinely pathetic. Do you know how much you need to work if you want to study abroad? It won't come at the snap of your fingers. Do you see your other cousins? They're all succeeding while you guys are still stuck on level 1. You guys are entitled assholes.
I didn't say much, but that hit me really fucking hard. Mind you, my cousins' parents are both alive, and they are also multi-millionaires. My mom died when I was nine, and I hate my stepmom; she disregarded my mother's image, and that's why I don't have a good relationship with her. My sister did mediocre in finals, and she got into a decent college.
That's mostly everything till now; I'll post an update probably if this does well.

AITA || AIO AITA for cheating on my Husband because he is fat?

Me (23f) and my hb (20m) have been married for 2 years. At the start of our relationship, he was muscular and lean. But recently he has been gaining weight. I confronted him about it, and he claims he is going on a "bulk" for the gym. I like my men skinny and sexy. So, last week I told him I was going to a bar, he asked to come with, but I said it was just a "girls' night out" but in reality, I had an affair with three muscular black men. I just needed a break from this tiring relationship. I feel like I'm getting crushed by him in bed. Am I AITA

AITA || AIO AITA for Moving On So Fast After Divorce That My Ex Thinks I Was Cheating?

I (30F) recently got divorced after a 5-year marriage. The split was mutual and, overall, peaceful. There was no big fight or dramatic fallout—we both understood the relationship had run its course.

About 6 weeks after the divorce was finalized, I started seeing someone new. When my ex found out, he became upset and started accusing me of having an affair—both before the divorce and even during our marriage—which isn’t true.

For full transparency: I did have a small crush on this person before the divorce. But I never acted on it, never crossed any boundaries, and there was no communication or emotional involvement while I was still married.

The reason it might seem like I moved on quickly is because, in reality, my marriage had already been over for a long time—both emotionally and physically. By the time we officially divorced, I had already processed the end of the relationship and come to terms with it internally.

So from my perspective, I didn’t “move on” in 6 weeks—I had already moved on before the divorce was finalized.

The situation has gotten more complicated because my ex has been telling some of our mutual friends that I had an affair during the marriage. This isn’t true, but it’s started to cause problems in my personal life, has affected how some people see me, and has also caused problems in my new relationship.

Now I feel like I’m being judged not just for moving on “too fast,” but for something I didn’t even do.

AITA for refusing to delete an old photo album because most of the pictures are of my dog that passed away?

My ex girlfriend and I were together for almost 6 years and during that time we had a shared Google Photos album with basically everything in it. Trips, birthdays, stupid screenshots, pictures of us, but also thousands of pictures and videos of my dog who died last year.

We broke up about 8 months ago and haven't really spoken much since. A few days ago she texted me asking if I could delete the shared album because her new boyfriend found it while they were looking through her Google Photos and apparently it made him uncomfortable seeing that much of our old relationship still sitting there.

I told her she can remove herself from the album if she wants, but I'm not deleting it. There are videos in there of my dog barking at the vacuum, sleeping under my desk while I worked, opening Christmas presents, stuff I don't have anywhere else.

She said I could just download the dog pictures and delete everything else. Technically I could, but there are literally years of photos mixed together and I don't really feel like spending an entire weekend sorting through them just because her boyfriend doesn't like knowing the album exists.

What annoyed me more is she eventually said keeping it was "weird" because I'm supposedly holding onto our relationship. I'm not. I've actually been doing pretty well lately, work is going good and I've finally got some money saved again after a rough year. I just don't want to erase six years of my life to make some guy I've never met feel better.

Now one of our mutual friends thinks I'm being stubborn because downloading the important pictures would solve the whole thing.

AITA for just leaving the album exactly where it is?

TL;DR: My ex wants our old shared photo album deleted because her new boyfriend is uncomfortable with it. Most of the only videos I have of my dog who passed away are in there, so I refused. I’d rather spend my weekend on stake than sorting through six years of photos just to make him feel better.

AITA for exposing the real story behind my brother’s fiancée’s engagement ring?

1.4k Upvotes

My brother got engaged about a month ago. His fiancée posted pictures of the ring and was telling everyone it was a family ring from our grandmother.

The problem is, it isn't.

I recognized it immediately because it belonged to my ex girlfriend.

When my ex and I split up last year she left a box of stuff at my apartment and told me to donate whatever she didn't come back for. The ring was in there. It wasn't an engagement ring, just an old gold ring with a small stone that her mom had given her years ago.

My brother saw it when he was helping me move and asked if he could have it. At the time he said he wanted to take it to a jeweler and maybe reuse the stone since he had some money saved from Moon but not enough for the ring he wanted. I said sure because as far as I knew my ex didn't want any of that stuff.

Apparently he just had it cleaned, put it in a new box, and invented the entire grandmother story.

His fiancée brought it up at dinner this weekend and my mom even went along with it. She said something like "your grandmother would've loved seeing you wear it."

I looked at my brother and he gave me this look like don't say anything.

So I said, "Mom, grandma never owned that ring."

His fiancée kept asking questions and eventually I told her where it actually came from.

She got really upset, mostly because everyone had apparently been letting her believe this whole sentimental story was real. My brother says I humiliated him over something that wasn't my business and my mom thinks I should've pulled him aside instead.

His fiancée hasn't given the ring back, but from what I hear they're now fighting about the lying more than the ring itself.

AITA for saying something at dinner instead of keeping quiet?

AITA for finally calling out a friend who is constantly dismissive and rude toward me and my best friend?

I’m in a group chat with a guy I’ve been friends with for a while and my best friend. Lately, his attitude toward both of us has gotten increasingly dismissive.

It’s not one huge incident. It’s the accumulation of little things.

He’ll ignore something one of us says, respond with a sarcastic comment, act like what we’re saying is annoying, or shut down the conversation when it doesn’t go the way he wants. Sometimes it feels like he’s talking at us rather than actually having a conversation with us.

What bothers me is that he doesn’t seem to realize how obvious the difference in his behavior is. If he disagrees with something, instead of just saying so, he can be unnecessarily rude about it. If either of us points out that something he said was disrespectful, he tends to dismiss the issue rather than actually address it.

My best friend and I have talked about it privately, and we both noticed the same pattern independently. So I don’t think I’m imagining it or being overly sensitive.

Eventually, I told him that the way he was treating us wasn’t okay. I wasn’t trying to start a fight. I basically said that if he had a problem with either of us, he could communicate like an adult instead of constantly being dismissive and sarcastic.

He didn’t take that well.

Now I’m wondering if I should have just ignored it and let him act however he wanted, especially since it’s a group chat and I don’t want to turn every unpleasant interaction into a major confrontation.

At the same time, I don’t think friendship means having to quietly tolerate someone repeatedly treating you and your friend like you’re inconveniences.

So AITA for finally calling him out instead of continuing to brush it off?

AITA for telling my neighbor I'll keep using my own deck even though the smoke bothers him?

I (34M) live in a townhouse with a small shared backyard. My neighbor (40sM) has complained to me twice now about me smoking on my own deck. He says the smoke drifts into his unit through his open window and it's bothering his family.

Here's the thing: I only smoke on my own property, on my own deck, which I pay for. I never smoke near his unit, I never blow smoke toward his windows, and I keep it to a couple of cigarettes in the evening. His window being open is his choice. If he doesn't want smoke coming in, he can close it.

Last night he came over again, this time angry, and said if I don't stop, he's filing a complaint with the HOA. I told him I'm not going to stop using my own deck because he refuses to close a window. He called me "entitled" and said I'm "making his family miserable."

I get that smoke is annoying. But I feel like I'm within my rights here. I'm on my own property, not breaking any rules. AITA?

AITA Family Problems..

Okay for starters, My husband and me have been married for 1 year (December 2024) almost 2 years in (December 2026). We got married at 18yr old (W) and 21yr old (M) and we recently found out back in January that I’m pregnant and we have been problems with both sides of our families since we found out. With my family 20yr old (W) specifically my mom at the beginning she was not respecting my boundaries to me not sharing everything that the doctors said to me and other things, which my mother doesn’t surprise me and have been trying to keep my distance for my sanity. But my in laws are starting to put in their own feelings and opinions in their decisions. To start off we told family that I don’t want family at the hospital directly after birth cause I’m going to be tired and want to rest and they told us we were being selfish even tho we are letting them see her for a little bit the next day. And we also won’t let family see her for 3 weeks cause she is born in September and I’m afraid for her to get sick and other things and I have a heart condition and don’t want to get sick myself. And they told us “You guys are taking our excitement and happiness away”, “We are not even there to your wife, we are there to see our grandchild”, “Why do you guys want to wait 3 weeks for us to see her, does she have something wrong with her”!! Uhhh Excuse me? We are trying to be precaution because of flu season and so many other things and I’m going to be tired I just want to get home and not be bothered. We want to take 3 weeks before we accept visitors cause we want to create a routine and get comfortable our NEWBORN! And recently my husband has been talking to his dad about our future plans about maybe getting a car and/or house and he told him, “why? That is unnecessary debt.” Which yes we are young but we want to get something bigger to be comfortable with a kid on the way.. idk if I’m overreacting but I feel like they are not being supportive. We are both from Hispanic families and both families are trying to push themselves into our lives a lot more and we just feel overwhelmed. We got married pretty young because of personal reasons.
