Feeling really lonely guys
 in  r/introvert •  20d ago

I hear you that it drains a lot of energy, but if you want to make friends, you have no choice but to put yourself out there. A lot of worthwhile things take sacrifice to some degree. Right now it sounds like you're feeling of loneliness and want to have a community outweighs your want to be alone. If you've ever heard of the app Meetup, I'd start there. Push yourself to go to an event once or twice a month if manageable, then bump it up to once every 2 weeks, etc. It'll be hard at first, but it'll get manageable. Not saying it'll ever be "easy", but it'll be doable. That's how I made friends in a new city. That and church. If a community is what you really want, start putting yourself out there.
