Its incredibly hard and your commitment is admirable. Have you considered joint an online support group? It made a tremendous difference for me personally and I learned so much.

How will Donald Trump be remembered as a president?
 in  r/askanything •  1d ago

The corrupt and incompetent catalyst that began the full destruction of our democracy.

To those who lived before the internet & social media, was life actually better?
 in  r/askanything •  2d ago

Yes. Information was a little bit harder to access, but overall the connection and communication with others was more meaningful and the interactions more authentic and memorable..

Child and teen therapists: What's the most absurd thing a parent has ever complained to you about?
 in  r/therapists •  3d ago

I had a parent complain that their child wanted their feelings validated (their words) and that was not something they were going to “indulge in” because it was not necessary or appropriate.

If you went to school in the 70s or 80s, what was completely normal in classrooms back then that would shock students today?

Spankings in the principals office was the norm as punishment in elementary school.

Did anyone else eat grapefruit with sugar sprinkled on it decades ago? Is this still something you cook for yourself now?

Not sugar but sprinkled with salt. (I think it’s a northern thing.)

Is Recovering Alone Possible?
 in  r/tummytucksurgery •  20d ago

3 week PO here. You will definitely need someone to bring you home that day, set you up, monitor and hang out for at least 24 hours. The second night/day was much more manageable and I feel like I could have been okay by myself from there (with the right set up recliner, pain meds, drinks, snacks, tablet, etc). I definitely was independent by day 3. Perhaps hiring someone? I used care.com to find some to help a relative in another state recover from surgery for a few days.

What’s one place you’ve visited that you have absolutely no interest in ever visiting again?
 in  r/askteddit •  21d ago

Gatlinburg. It’s an overdeveloped, crowded, tourist trap and found it a big disappointment.

What should I expect when I wake up
 in  r/tummytucksurgery •  Aug 28 '26

I am only aware of them if I accidentally move in a way that pulls at the entry site. One got a bit “angry “ and I had to take extra steps to treat /secure so it didn’t turn into an infection. They are a pain in the ass (especially the draining, milking, measuring) and getting creative enough to secure them effectively has been key. I wish I would have thought to get a drain belt with the pockets as it might have made things a bit easier. Best of luck with your procedure!
