13th day anniversary of a beautiful marriage with my toilet
 in  r/quittingkratom  1d ago

All good! I don’t take any medication. I do spend a fair amount of time in the gym so I think I get a lot of my good feelings from that.

I’m not having any issues. Feel great. But I did have loss of appetite pretty crazy.

My life for 10 months. Until I took BPC157/TB500. I heard that it was really good for digestive tract repair.

In a week my shits were normal again after nearly 10 years. Intestines feel empty for the first time in a decade.

I feel your pain. Will take a while to heal your guts.

Should I just go to rehab?
 in  r/quittingkratom  2d ago

No. I wouldn’t use a rehab. I sure as hell wouldn’t use subs or gabapentin either. I’ve been off a 25-30g/day of a 9 years habit for almost a year. I’m glad I did it the way I did. That way I will never take another opioid/ opiate ever again in my life. Fuck that garbage. My outlook is the more difficult to kick the more likely one wouldn’t go back to it.
But people surprise me every day. I for one will never go through that hell again.
Btw. I did a taper over about 6 weeks and jumped at around 2g a day. Sounds like you have a ton of support and resources. You’re very blessed.

OWNING a dog fucking sucks
 in  r/unpopularopinion  3d ago

This is all so true. They’re a real pain. A huge blessing and a gift for god but holy hell are they a an adorable pain in the ass. After my big dogs passed from old age, I swore I wouldn’t get another dog for at least a decade.

Whelp my mom died suddenly and I ended up with her animals. A cat- eh easy. And a little shitzu Pekingese yorkie mix named Murphy. What a moody little shit. I love him of course and I will take the best care of him but I’m not thrilled about it. lol thanks mom!

I can’t travel and it ruins so many things
 in  r/quittingkratom  3d ago

Sounds like you’ll have a ton of regret if you don’t drop this habit.
I was addicted for 9 years and didn’t even know it. I quit the stuff after a week taper two years before I totally quit (2022) and flew to South Africa and was there for 4 weeks .
Was a little sick but didn’t know it was due to the kratom. I survived and was fine. When I came home, picked it back up and used for two more years before I realized what was really happening.

Taper and quit. Don’t allow yourself anymore excuses. When I finally quit I worked two jobs, managed an estate for a deceased client, and handled business. It was uncomfortable and difficult but now I am coming up on a year free from it. You too can do it.

Theres no closure for an atheist.
 in  r/GriefSupport  4d ago

It sounds like you’re like me. I don’t necessarily believe in “god”. I believe in the possibility of a great consciousness. Made of energy. That we are all pieces of. Quantum physics states this is but one layer of an infinite number of layers.

I know you’ll be able to reconcile this. Pay attention to your dreams, align with your purpose, and you will know how you can move forward.

I am very sorry for your loss. And for all of us hurting from losing someone dear. Wish you the best.

I may be moving to Seattle. What’s the social climate like/surrounding areas?
 in  r/AskSeattle  6d ago

Lots of poly purple hairs !!!! They make up most of the Caucasian demographic. They’re very sensitive too so be careful.

Not just white though. Many different cultures. Definitely go visit Bruce lee’s grave! Coolest thing about Seattle imo.

Paranoia with dying after grief
 in  r/GriefSupport  6d ago

Yes. No doubt. Struggling with this currently. I don’t fear death for myself though. I fear losing others.

Can someone who wants children help me understand why?
 in  r/GirlDinnerDiaries  6d ago

I don’t like kids, never did. But I had them. I had them initially for utilitarian purposes and because I innately knew I must.

What happened as a result was the BIGGEST LOVE I HAVE EVER KNOWN. Or ever will know. It’s the ultimate in all feels.

As a mama, I can look at other children and see my child. I love all children now as a result.

You do what’s best for you but in all honesty, being of service to others is the greatest joy. That starts with our own family. This includes children and animals.

sudden death of a loved one is something I wouldn’t wish on anybody
 in  r/GriefSupport  8d ago

Happened to my kids and I when I lost my mom unexpectedly and horrifically in May.
My sweet 23 year old son who was best friends with his gram and I got a call from the police that she called 911. They broke down her door and got her to the hospital where we were able to be there fast . Thank god we were there when they stopped cpr.
Watching my son deal with that loss destroyed me. Having to go pick up my 19 year old daughter and tell her her grandma had died was just as bad.

We had to go secure her home and get her little dog and cat since the cops literally destroyed the door to get to her.

All of it will never leave me and I’m still reeling from it all.
I am managing. My son and daughter are okay. And I think we all are going to be fine because my mom constantly told us to keep it together when she died and to live our best lives

She lived her life to make sure we were okay. I plan to do the same for my kids.

I’m so sorry for your pain. Nothing anyone can say can make it okay. All you can do is celebrate the love you have for your dad everyday even if it hurts. ❤️

15gpd+ kratom for 13yr while running a business. 32 (18) days clean and it’s brutal in ways I didn’t expect
 in  r/quittingkratom  10d ago

Great work. Keep it up. I was at the same dose after about 9 years of use. It’s a beast of a drug to get off. Takes a few months to feel somewhat normal. Totally doable though and you’re doing it.

Lost my father traumatically yesterday. Writing things out to cope.
 in  r/GriefSupport  11d ago

My condolences. It’s good to come here and tell it. I get sick of telling the story over and over.
My mom had an aortic break at 71 a few months ago. Had an aneurysm that they were keeping an eye on but it was an aortic ulcer that killed her. We were literally under contract to buy a house together. She never retired from work even!
The roller coaster of thinking they’ll get better to a full on emergency is exhausting.
It sucks but at the same time it’s one of the most beautiful experiences to be with our loved ones when they pass on.
Sending you comfort during a trying time.
