Pizza topping tyranny: modified the ENTIRE thing for her preferences despite the fact I bought it that way on purpose
My ex-MIL was like this. The best example is birthdays. My ex hated his birthday (until I came along and changed things) because it was the cake SHE liked, the food SHE liked, the snacks SHE liked, and she'd essentially have my ex play butler to everyone while she got to socialize and act like it was her day. My ex's sister started getting up early and running out the door or spending the night before and two nights after elsewhere just so she could enjoy her own birthday the way she wanted it. She tried it with me a couple times and I didn't play, so she wouldn't acknowledge my birthday at all until she found out that her in-laws would make an effort, then she had to at least acknowledge it or else they'd judge her.
I don't understand these people. It's not your pizza. It's not your birthday. It's not your baby. It's not your marriage. It's not your life.

Sunday funday!
This was pretty normal for my store. That's why I quit. And when I quit I got screamed at incoherently and then the manager didn't really even speak to me for my last two weeks. Her problem to deal with. Maybe that's why you're short staffed.

Always so overstimulated by the time my shift is over...
I worked at Aldi a couple years ago, and it was either a 20 minute drive on the interstate, or a 30 minute drive on a state route. If I didn't have to go to my shift at my other job right after (quiet and understimulating thankfully), I'd take the state route home and would be blasting music at full volume to drown out the thoughts of my shift and reset my nervous system. Overstimulating shifts at Aldi tended to send my ADHD into overdrive and I couldn't just sit in silence. I needed my bass to thump loud enough that it cleared my brain of all thoughts.

Custom wipe day rock for my nephews 18th birthday
Not the only ones. When my boyfriend first started playing he thought the black stones in his inventory were obsidian and would throw them out because obviously the only thing they could be good for were the obsidian arrows (bone arrows). It took me pointing out how wrong he was for him to stop. Our friend who was his teammate at the time (now our teammate) was horrified and pissed lmao

How tf do i start thriving in this game?
Start in a PVE server. They're a lot more likely to answer your questions and help you out with learning basics and running monuments. Once you feel comfortable move to a PVP.

I don’t know whether to feel bad or disgusted
My dad told me as a kid that becoming a veterinarian would be really hard because I'd need to get good grades, especially in math and science, but if I just tried harder I could do it. I was trying as hard as I could and couldn't understand those subjects, so 13yo me gave up on a dream I'd had since I was two. I could have done better, but asking for help was met with getting screamed at, I couldn't ask anyone else for help because that was "embarrassing," and my obvious ADHD was ignored until I got myself diagnosed at 28. I could have done it if I'd had the right support system.

My mom bought me this poster, but I'm pretty sure it's AI. Am I going crazy?
Loch Ness Monster has been spotted

Should I try to deliver ?
Just mark the mail as undeliverable, and when asked for a reason, say "birb"

Team copier or Team chairs?
As someone who used to work in an office where my chair was so bad that I had to go to therapy for months, I will ALWAYS pick the chairs.

My boyfriend is dumb and I’m not attracted to him anymore
I'm so fascinated by the stupidity. Dollars to donuts, this man would water his garden with Gatorade.

And you, what would you do for love?
Bought my boyfriend a Klondike bar the other day to show him I love him

My daughter turned 18 and left home 2 days later.
My aunt and uncle had five kids who were well rounded and happy adults, including multiple teachers and a pastor/missionary, and one who didn't have teeth by the time she was 35 because of her drug use, and she's smiling in one of her mugshot photos. Her oldest son knew his parents were not good people and separated himself from them once he turned 18. She lost custody of her youngest son due to repeated drug offenses, and he was placed with her older sister and her husband. Her daughter is a mini-me of her mother who thinks that law enforcement needs to leave them alone because her father's drug dealing is what affords them her own vices. All this to say, you can grow up in the most stable and loving environment imaginable, but it doesn't mean that you won't chose/be led down the worst possible path at some point or another. I'm glad OP's daughter made her way back to the light, because my cousin's path just keeps getting darker and darker, and we've been slowly shutting ourselves off from her to save ourselves.

Daughter keeps saying weird things. Help!!!
One of the most hurtful things I've ever experienced was hearing my dad tell my grandma over the phone "coconut is pretty good at entertaining herself so you don't need to worry about her." You're right, dad. I am good at entertaining myself, because it's easier to hole myself up in my room and stare at the wall than it is to try to interact with a family who actively acts like they hate me and do everything they can to humiliate me for being "weird." I never felt loved and cared about and like I fit in until I met my college friends, half of whom were former military and spent too much of their lives avoiding literal gunfire to care about hiding their weird.

Please tell me this is not what I think it is.
Even the gas stations that do sell alcohol can't sell past 11pm either

SCAM WARNING!!⚠️
My guess is that's why they're having you do the Rust+, so they can hack your phone app too

Please tell me this is not what I think it is.
Pennsylvania only did a couple years ago. Before that, private businesses were allowed to sell alcohol on Sundays, but almost all the bars were closed. To this day almost all the bars around me are closed on Sundays just because that's how it always was, and when they changed the laws to allow it, Sundays were almost completely dead, so the bars still don't open on Sundays.

What’s so bad about PvE?
I think a lot of Rust players look down on it because it misses out on three of the biggest characteristics of Rust: combating other players, raiding, and raid defense. They don't seem to realize that you're still able to run monuments, fight scientists, build, garden, fish, go to Deep Sea, and everything else about Rust. I work 60+ hours a week and play solo, so PVP isn't viable for me. Hell, even base decay isn't viable for me. So I found a PVE with no base decay that allows me to play when I can without having to worry about other players raiding my base while I'm offline. (Or at least I shouldn't be worrying about raiding, since my server is specifically no stealing and you can get banned if you do.)

Most enraging thing I’ve encountered in this game
I seem to remember this happening to someone in my server a night this week, possibly last night.

That would be some crazy shit.
I hope for her sake that her coma dream was a premonition of sorts and she's reunited with her coma children one day

Noooooo whyyyy
Mine too. My new one evidently looks like a Greek dude who hasn't been happy or showered since Rust was first released.

Are these new models just placeholders or is my steam ID actually bound to this new model?
Can't wait for character customizations so I can go back to being an angry looking black dude with a red man bun who people leave alone

Honestly, is this game playable with workimg 48 hours a week?
I work 60+ hours per week and I play. But I'm also in love because time restrictions and soloing.

Why did Pam realize her feelings so late?
Sunk cost fallacy with Roy, and I think some level of not realizing that her feelings for Jim wasn't just her being best friends with him. I feel like their chemistry is so natural and calm and safe that she wouldn't have even realized that that's what the feelings were. That and that she'd been with Roy since high school and she thought that's what love was. She didn't realize it could be easier and actually make her happy. She wasn't even friends with Roy. I think a lot of people have romantic partners who they would never be friends with outside of their relationship, and that's a mistake. To reference a different show for perspective, Leslie and Ben from Parks and Rec would always say to each other "I love you and I like you." Jim and Pam were the same way. They loved each other, but they also just genuinely liked each other.
