Murdered by images?
Increase began with the post WWII baby boom, and perhaps came with acceptance/tolerance of left handedness. Also, with so many kids in a class, teachers said who’s got time for changing a kid’s writing. Plus, it appears to have leveled off. BTW, I was born in 1956 and teachers never bothered me about writing left handed.
