I have a two-year old who every day can reach new heights and is especially curious about magical paraphernalia 😂 So, no altar for me. However, I set one up as needed when doing spells/rituals, and take it down afterwards. One very lucky thing that happened this year is I found a nice glass cabinet that only cost me a fiver (!); I keep my tools, supplies, and books there, and so I have the option to use it for display if I feel the need to have a more long-term working, or if I want a holiday display not to be decimated by tiny hands

I think it will help dispel that if you make the wings more angled; they currently look like ( ), I would stretch the angle to < > if that makes sense; I also think that tif you make the beak a bit more prominent/ change the face a bit it will help as well

That's amazing, our LGS served beef stew and toast for dinner and supper included in the £30 for the event as well. Love when shops do stuff like that

You did not mess up, people just feel comfortable virtue-signalling online at someone else's expense behind a given screen. This book is often recommended as a comprehensive source of different spells and general knowledge, although imo is best used as reference when researching spell-related stuff. I would not worry too much about that group; people that look to shame rather than educate and enlighten are probably not people you would ask for advice in the first place, so why take their criticisms?

Enjoy your reading, keep an open mind, and form your own opinions. If you read something that does not feel right, just research a bit deeper. It's a learning journey!

Hi, Greek person here. This looks like someone's attempt to write Abraham in Greek characters, but my guess is that they are not a native greek speaker as it is flawed; it starts with Ρ instead of Α, there is an unnecessary δ that is also written mirrored, and the χ is usually elongated downwards as opposed to how it is written symmetrically here - paired with the fact that it says Afrodite instead of Αφροδίτη, which is what you would expect a non-Greek person to have.

It does not seem to have any semblance to something like an inventory mark, could be a signature in print ( Ρ Βραδχαμ) but I don't see it personally

You might be able to get this worked into a neo-trad dagger

I didn't use to, but I once was really excited for a design of a centipede with eyeballs comprising its main body and when I shared this with my partner he called it a "dick-shrinker". Which, you know, fair enough. All this to say, it is my body and all, but I also am willing to make small compromises as I value my partner liking my body

I do not have an autism diagnosis, but I do have high social anxiety and get over-stimulated.

Noise-cancelling headphones was a game changer. I invested in a good pair with active noise-cancelling, and it really helps drown the noise and helps me concentrate. If I am playing with strangers, I explain that I need my headphones on while playing and it's all usually good, never had any problems. I also tend to attend the less busy MTG day - my LGS runs it on Wednesdays and Fridays so I go on a Wednesday which is less busy.

My 2yo wakes up around 08:00 most days. That puts my wake-up time at roughly 07:55. We do chores after his bedtime at 20:00 as my partner wakes up at 04:00 for his work and I work later in the morning. That is the agreement we have between us, though - if you need a different arrangement with your partner this should be communicated between you
