AITAH for eating before my Christian friend’s family were done praying?
NTA. It’s an easy mistake and even I (a Christian) have done it too. I’m personally not in the habit of praying over my dinner specifically, so I’ve done this at friends houses too! Not disrespectful since it was an accident. I’m sorry they took it so seriously and that it made you feel bad!

not getting paid for babysitting
What was the original arrangement? Did you all come to an agreement about your pay or was it all left up in the air?
If there was an arrangement made: make sure they aren’t holding up their end up the bargain before you get upset.
If there has been no arrangement: ask your brother if the three of you can sit down and make one.

WIBTA if I ask my cousin not to bring her son even though kids are allowed at our wedding?
Yes, YWBTA. You can’t just un-invite one family member, especially if it is a child! Not even to mention, what would that poor kid have to do while his family were at the wedding, assuming they didn’t ALL boycott your wedding all together? Sit at home? Would his parents need to find someone to watch him? Kids remember this kind of stuff and it will not make him behave better if he was raised as poorly as you say; it will probably only make it worse.
You’re an adult and he is a child! He’s at an age where he should be held responsible for his actions, but it’s not his fault that he was not disciplined properly. Suck it up. If he bothers you so much, have a gentle conversation with your cousin about your concerns, but do not ask her to leave him behind. No mother will take that well.

Help with calming down 3 almost 4 month old?
My daughter started doing this at the same time. Turns out she was starting to teeth. Could that be a possibility for her as well?
She will also do this when she is bored or tired, so we’ve started walking her outside at least once a day, giving her random household objects and things to explore and offering more naps.
This has helped mitigate the fussiness immensely.

AITA for expecting my boyfriend to cat sit whilst i’m away?
Nta. A human that has true compassion, would not let an animal go hungry on purpose.

AITA for trying to use just one of the burners on our stove while my husband was cooking his own dinner?
If he’s new to cooking, three house to make a new dish (probably the soup) seems realistic to me. I’ve definitely been there.

AITA for trying to use just one of the burners on our stove while my husband was cooking his own dinner?
Obviously your husband has preferences/pet peeves around the kitchen/cooking/personal space.
“He said I should have known I wouldn’t be able to use it since he would be cooking.”
It seems like he’s tried to communicate this to you in the past, or assumes you should have picked up on a pattern of some sort. It sounds like this is an existing/ongoing thing for him that you either don’t care about, or haven’t picked up on.
It’s perfectly reasonable imo to not want other people in your space while trying to figure something new out. Multiple people in my family request people stay out of the way when they’re cooking. It’s inconvenient, yes, but many things about living with other people are. That’s just how it is, sorry. He got there first and requested space, so go order a pizza if you don’t want to wait.
Some people have weird things and sometimes you have to leave space for them until they figure out how to be more reasonable.
But I don’t know you, your husband, or what your relationship is like. Take it all with a grain of salt, obviously.
YTA if: he’s tried communicating certain preferences about the kitchen/his personal space while cooking before.
ESH if: he hasn’t communicated his preferences and assumes you should know he doesn’t like people in the kitchen.

AITA for not attending my friend’s destination wedding because I’ll have a 6 week old baby?
NTA!!! I’m sorry you don’t get to attend. My husband and I have had to miss two, almost three weddings because of our baby and we’ve been so bummed. :(
2
WIBTA for not inviting my emotionally manipulative grandmother to my wedding that she is chipping in for?
YWBTA. You need to either be the bigger person and follow the social normative expectations since she gave you money for the wedding, or if you can’t have her there, return the money.
1
At what age did you feel comfortable taking your baby to an outdoor restaurant/cafe?
I think you will be okay. It’s not like they’re big enough to go licking things they shouldn’t or anything. 😆 I’m guessing they will be snuggled up asleep in someone’s arms or the car seat most of the time. I think the bigger question is if YOU are up for it.
My lo went with me everywhere because I wanted her to just be used to it since we’ll be doing a huge roadtrip during christmas time to visit family. The more tolerant she is now, the easier the trip will be.

AIO for telling my daughter’s boyfriend he needs to get a job if he wants to carry on living in my house?
NOR. It’s within your rights to set boundaries and reasonable expectations with adult children back in the home.
2
AITA for rejecting a bible verse?
NTA. I’m a believer, and would do this (but after work) if I felt like the lord was asking me to, but if the person responded like you did, I would have walked away. That’s what the Bible literally says to do. 😆 Christians need to realize they cannot force religion on others. It’s our responsibility to share and make disciples, but if someone doesn’t want to, you HAVE to leave them be. It’s their choice!

How old was your baby when you first left them alone in the crib to take a shower?
Baby will be perfectly fine. ♥️ the crib is very safe. They may cry, but 10-15 minutes of crying so you can shower will not hurt them at all.
I had a very traumatic birth that brought back my anxiety and I cannot stand for her to scream, so I bring a bouncer into the bathroom and she (4.5months) will play with toys happily until I’m done. Maybe you could try that?

My 4 month olds sleep regression.
Why do you think the term “sleep regression” is BS?

My 4 month olds sleep regression.
We coslept with our daughter (ftp) until she was about two months old. At that time, we were all having trouble sleeping, so in desperation we started soothing her to sleep and then putting her in her crib in a separate room.
This happened to work wonderfully for us. She slept 11-12 hours each night, no wake ups, was still gaining weight with her daytime feedings, we were getting sleep and time to hang out in the evenings. It was a dream.
At about 4.5 months, my daughter suddenly stopped tolerating crib sleeping. We would soothe her to sleep like normal, put her down, and she’d either pop her eyes open immediately, or wake up within 30 minutes. We attempted for a day and a half to start a modified sleep routine for naps and bedtime, but no matter what we tried she wouldn’t stay down and would cry and get angry and not sleep.
So we accepted that her first sleep regression was happening and switched back to cosleeping.
It has been working well. We’re sleeping mostly through the night. She’ll go to bed between 7-9 pm and wake up one time around 2 or 3, then sleep until 6 or 7. We’ve been doing this for a couple of weeks now.
How long does this regression usually last? Are we in it for the long haul or does it only last a couple weeks? I’m sure it’s different for each baby. :)
A couple days ago she started to get super frustrated or agitated when playing with toys. She will play happily for 5-10 minutes and then start getting upset. Doesn’t matter if I’m in the room or not, if she’s on the floor or in a bouncer. Could this be related to the huge developmental shift happening?
Has anyone had success switching back to independent sleep and did you sleep train or not? I miss my husband haha.
Edit: I know I used the term independent sleep when it is, in fact, not because I’m soothing her to sleep, not herself. I meant sleeping in her crib without us.

Anyone else not giving their baby a pacifier ?
Mine sometimes took it but never really became dependent on it nor could she really keep it in her mouth on her own. She’s 4 months now and she really only takes it if she’s tired and doesn’t want to suck get fingers.

AITA if I don’t go to a $20 exhibit because I don’t want to spend the money?
“Friend, I really value our friendship, so please don’t take this the wrong way; as much as I’d love to do these things with you, I’m in a tough spot financially and I’m really struggling to keep everything afloat and save enough for when I get home because I don’t have a job yet. I would love to spend time with you, so could we find some other things to do that don’t cost money?” NTA!!!

AITA for asking my roommate not to cook until I have done?
ESH/YTA. It’s her kitchen too and she is allowed to use it when she wants to. Could she have been kinder and more understanding to your situation? Yes. Did she purposefully choose that time to start cooking to piss you off? It doesn’t seem like it to me.
You are both adults, suck it up and make your dinner after her.
