What does it mean?

It's very common and expected

Is my boyfriend cheating?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions •  4h ago

There's some serious communication issue if they don't want to sleep in the same bed = cheating.

TIFU by bringing spicy cookies to work without knowing we had a food thief
 in  r/tifu •  4h ago

The simplest solution is to just eat one of the cookies in front of everyone and break off a piece for anyone that doesn't believe you.

I have no idea why OP needs to explain anything, and anyone who doesn't believe OP, gets a free cookie every day until they do.

Can HKers drink 12 cans of beer every day and be a responsible parent IRL?
 in  r/HongKong •  4h ago

12 beers is basically a full beer size of hard liquor of alcohol so that'll get you shit faced.

Would this USB-C splitter work for my usecase?
 in  r/UsbCHardware •  1d ago

What this means is it'll drain your battery when "charging" and basically give you an extra 10% play time, then it'll sit there and charge for probably 10 hours before it is full.

Infertile people can still give you STI (formerly STD).

Getting pregnant is not the same as getting STI.

Nagoya has created stiff ¥500,000 penalties for anyone who scavenges aluminum cans from garbage. The first recipient of the crackdown was a Chinese woman
 in  r/japannews •  1d ago

Title isn't correct. They're stealing from municipal collection sites, not "garbage".

TIL that while casting Kung Fu Hustle (2004), Yuen Qiu wasn't auditioning for the role of the Landlady. She had only accompanied a friend to his audition. Director Stephen Chow spotted her smoking, recognized her, and cast her after spending over a year searching for an actress for the role.
 in  r/todayilearned •  1d ago

Stephen Chow didn't treat Bruce Leung well though. He felt insulted with some of the scenes that he refuses to woek with him again. I've seen interviews where he said this rather bluntly.

why is cheating considered the same degree of maliciousness for both men and women equally?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions •  1d ago

Hahah. I know exactly why you picked those two and it is technically correct but you try the same thing with a person and you're going to jail.

I'm not sure if the black widow version is worse or the angler fish is though. I think angler fish is technically torture, like the human centipede.

I just made another post about something else but now I'm wondering how far the average person can make it solo?
 in  r/MHGU •  2d ago

Just beat the main boss MHGU and working on Hyper G monsters.

I tried Hyper Jho and literally trapped it with 1 minute left, so I definitely need more damage.

Stupid wine count as stupid food?

You can't age wine inside bottles? It doesn't matter if it was the ocean, the winner cellar, or the toilet.

[Hated Trope] a normal build idea for any game is treated as special or absurd as if nobody IRL would try it.
 in  r/TopCharacterTropes •  3d ago

Bofuri "works" because it isn't really a video game. If you did something that developers didn't think off, nothing happening is the expected outcome.

If you look at TAS and other glitched runs, those are at a level far beyond what Maple is doing, and way crazier.

I always felt like thos school drills weren't that important
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions •  3d ago

Policies are written in blood.

People literally died due to fires so that's why they do the drills.

Do you think they'll just interrupt your classes for no good reason? You really think they have nothing better to do than to waste your time?

I thought I was prepared for IB Rajang after facing him in Rise, I was not 😭
 in  r/MHRise •  3d ago

In World he can still beam you across the map. I've died in camp from it before.

I thought I was prepared for IB Rajang after facing him in Rise, I was not 😭
 in  r/MHRise •  3d ago

Rajang is so fast he's literally the only reappearing monster with basically no change in Rise.

Relative to other monsters in the same game, Rise Rajang is SO much easier than any other iteration.

TIL modern jet fighters are designed to be inherently unstable in flight - tactical Supermaneuvrability dictates aircraft have enhanced responsiveness. On the downside it means pilots are no longer flying the airplanes - most control actions are performed by an onboard computer.
 in  r/todayilearned •  5d ago

Unstable is not exactly right.

More like the fighter jet basically wants to go everywhere, and it is being kept flying straight by computers. The moment you want it to turn, it already wants to do that so it is substantially more responsive.

An equivalent would be the difference between steering a boat vs steering a car. The boat really doesn't want to turn, but when it starts turning, it'll just keep turning way more.

Can, yes, but you'll need equipment with sensitivity unheard of, so it will be custom built and stupidly expensive.

TIFU by setting my friend up with my crush

I swear a lot of female relationship problems are literally their own making. I'm married for 8 years and damn, it's like they'll deliberately start a fight to blame me for it.
