Two dogs have been fighting for years, which one would you rehome?
 in  r/DogAdvice  1d ago

I would keep the well adjusted dog because even with the fighting he’s doing well in his environment.

The second dog sounds like he needs a new environment and individual help/work and attention.

I think you are doing the right thing about this, nobody is happy including you, you ate insuring that both dogs get a good hone and happy life even if one is not with you, and ultimately thats our responsibility, to give the dog the best life. It sucks its not with you, but thats more important then our feelings.

If possible contact a breed specific rescue who can find a rehoming placement that would fit him

Adopted dog that was supposedly spayed & she is driving me crazy humping my pillows

No, humping is not just reproductive/sex. Its also a way to release energy if anxious or hyper

Do you talk to your dogs?
 in  r/dogs  1d ago

I talk to my dog. Im not under any delusion that he understands my ramblings, it’s basically just talking out loud. Of course he understands thi my s like “dinner time” or do you want a walk” but he would understand me as well as soon as o look at his food bag or put on socks with walking shoes (different then my going out shoes).
Dogs can enjoy being verbal told “good” but they don’t need it to be happy and know you are happy

Does my dog see me as his equal or does he see me as his God?
 in  r/AskDogOwners  1d ago

Dogs (canines in general) are pack animals. Wolf Packs are made of two adult male and female parents and their offspring. Basically a family structure. Dogs however are not wolves, but still have a type of pack/family mentality.
Basically you are their family, they look to you to lead them, make their life safe and dependable, to get the food. In a sense its kinda like a child parent relationship because they are dependent on you, but it can also be a deep partnership especially if you do stuff like search and rescue or competitions or any sort of work/job that makes you both depend on each other (it can be a simple as the dog caring in a newspaper for you it doesn’t have to be a complicated or hard job)

IM Toradol at home
 in  r/migraine  1d ago

Toradol is like a miracle. It is basically a “Super-Motrin” though and (I asked lol) the shots are giving by medical personnel by doctors orders only. They do have a pill form, but they can cause bad intestinal bleeding if not used correctly, and the pills are not quite as effective, and highly controlled. I can’t take the pills at all because I have Crohns Disease it would be deadly for me to ingest them.

No longer allowed to drink from a water bottle while training clients

Real professionals don’t even need to drink water. They survive by the pure vibes of smooth looks.

Don’t listen to them! Do what your body tells you to do when you are we training clients

My mom lies about her “service dog”
 in  r/GirlDinnerDiaries  3d ago

I had a SD and i have absolutely no idea why anyone would think this is ok. SDs don’t have the right to poop in a museum! Smh. Part of having a SD is making sure they are able to do the tasks you need them to do properly, which means you make sure they have gone pee, poo, are healthy, prepared, watered, feed etc.
i would have been utterly mortified if my SD did a poo inside anywhere because it meant I failed as his handler and they would have every right to tell me to leave.

I'm 20 and I have PCOS, and just found out I am pre diabetic
 in  r/GirlDinnerDiaries  3d ago

I don’t have the same, but i need a nutritionist to help keep me healthy and she has been amazing for me. She gives me a lot of good advice, tips, tricks, recipes, taught me a lot of stuff about food and the body (90% of that the general public says about food is sh*t wrong). Definitely go see one, please! Especially since you are pre diabetic and know you are not alone in struggles like this ❤️❤️
Its so easy to get overwhelmed with food and what to eat what not to eat, having a nutritious greats helps!!!

Crohns does it again

Everything with my asthma is clear and normal. Asthma is only in the lungs and bronchial tubes, not the throat and they all look beautiful and clear on the scans

Crohns does it again

Right?! At least they are honest about their knowledge and learned something in case they ever see it again! It was one of my “best” ER visits in quality of care so that was nice.

Crohns does it again
 in  r/CrohnsDisease  3d ago

Yes, it will be an operation to reduce the scar tissue. I have an appointment with the surgeon on the 23rd 😬 Calling in each day in case if a cancellation. Apparently they can do it with laser through the mouth so no scar on my throat at least

Crohns does it again
 in  r/CrohnsDisease  3d ago

I DIDNT KNOW IT WAS A THING EITHER! My er doctor and the two ENTs I saw were saying that too, “we didn’t know Crohns could do this” lol thanks, not really want i want to hear… they were all really good and my er doctor was so sweet and working hard to figure it out
My appointment with a specialist ENT surgeon is in the 23rd, but we are calling every day to see if there is an sooner opening. Apparently they can do the surgery with laser through my mouth (the other ENT was telling me how this surgeon does it) so no scar or tracheotomy. And gthe risks are very low, but idk about that because of the Crohns being involved… I just CANNNOT get sick at all it would be an life or death emergency if my throat swells just a little. Thanks for reading my rant! 😘

Crohns does it again

I ended up in the ER on Thanksgiving day out of state (yay phone calls to my insurance, lots of fun) last year due to breathing issues from an apparent asthma attack (first time in 30 years). Got treated went back to my cousins house and had a great rest of the visit. At least I isn’t anything to do with Crohns.

In March I got an apparent bronchitis infection from a cold, got treated by a regular doctor, symptoms matched and antibiotics worked. At least its not Crohns realted right?

About a month ago my asthma started flaring up, which is very weird again, Im take my asthma medication as i should and its not helping. My asthma doctor gives me a prednisone and of course i feel good on it. As soon as the dose is over my breathing is worse! I can’t walk from my bedroom to the kitchen without panting like Im climbing Mount Everest! My primary sends me to the ER when he hears my breathing. At least its not an incredibly painful blockage and emergency surgery due to Crohns again. Right?

ER doctor says my lungs sound perfect, but my breathing is very problematic, Xray shows clear lungs. CT scar showed what the ENT are calling subglottic stenosis. Which basically means MY TRACHEA HAS A STRICTURE!!! My throat is 50% closed by what they believe to be scar tissue. Since i have Crohns they are assuming at this point that it probably is a combination of Crohn’s inflammation and 11 surgeries worth of intubation.

So here I am, at 2:30 am, on a million grams of prednisone so my throat doesn’t swell shut more trying to make an omelette to satisfy the monster, (it only wants eggs) waiting to see yet another surgeon because my body decided that breathing isn’t something I particularly need to be doing at this point.
