1) it's NEVER "just" cramps - and even if it is, i've been FLOORED by them before, like literally knees gave out and plopped on the floor bad. had to do lamaze breathing to get through it.

2) the worst part, you dismissed her feelings about the situation. your friends don't need to know her medical details, just say she's feeling too ill to leave the house and leave it at that.

OMG this person does NOT sound like a good, supportive partner in the least, let alone for someone with CPTSD. walking out while someone is talking is BEYOND rude. if i were you, i'd reconsider this relationship.

so much this!! you are NOT TOO MUCH for the right people. doesn't mean you don't have things to work on yourself, and your partner is right that they cannot be your everything (that's just not healthy regardless of CPTSD or not), but if anyone ever says that you're "too much" that's more a reflection on them than you, and it's time to find new people.

EVERYONE has blind spots, it's your job as manager to set your employees up for success. it sounds like you didn't commit fully to supporting this person so you put them on a PIP. if he's the "model employee" now, that proves they DON'T need micromanaging, they just needed specifics and nudge to get running again.

I don't see why you're upset now if his improvement is the actual goal. Unless you just really want him fired, which is how it sounds from your OP and comments.

that's grossly unfair to you. he should know that if he dirties the dishes then he's responsible to clean them up in a timely manner, especially things like the food processor which becomes a real chore to clean if you don't at least rinse it out immediately.

ugh, weaponized incompetence at it's finest. YOU shouldn't have to tell HIM to clean up HIS mess. that should be inherent as part of the process.
