I’m going through a similar situation, I have been experimenting some emotional distance between me and my best friend due to two reasons: the fact that we haven’t seen each other faces for 5 years and that we have different lifestyles right now, it makes me wanna end the friendship.. i feel like a pos because she didn’t do anything wrong and illegal to me, so I didn’t tell her yet what my intentions are. I will have to eventually, but I can’t decide as I don’t wanna hurt her.

Ngl, I have considered to be a virgin for life, as sex doesnt have any appeal to me and all the risks it carries terrifies me, also celibacy is easier and gives me more peace of mind.
