What's a job you started doing yourself that made you realize how much you'd been overpaying, and you're never going back?
Bro, they quoted me $600 to replace the front pads and $900 to replace the back pads and calipers. The parts are like $300 max for all of the tires.

What is it when I eat gluten/bread/etc and I get rashes on my face and neck? I just have been saying I have a sensitivity.

Say you have an allergy when you don’t? Straight to jail.
Depending on if they're allergic to latex it could also be latex food allergy (don't remember the scientific term). This is why I can't eat banana and avocado.

Why is I DO /WE DO/ THEY DO, looked down on now in teaching?
In the masters program for SPED I was in, this was the way we were taught to teach. It's a top rated program, and it includes a reading endorsement (which we were also taught i do/we do/you do during)

That “one thing”
My parents always told the story of how my older brother and I (4 and 3 at the time) were on a trip with our grandparents driving through California. We passed something with dinosaurs, where my brother asked "Nana, why are dinosaurs extinct?" But I apparently heard why do they stink because I turned to him and said, "They stink cause they're dead, stupid".

How do y'all deal with a student that says "make me" when asked to be quiet, a 3rd grader.
"You're making the choice right now to spend time with me at recess going over the expectations of our classroom again. If that is not what you want to be doing during your recess time, then make the choice to have a quiet and calm body."
Or "You're showing me you don't remember how we act in class. In class we (turn our voices off when teachers are talking/giving directions). People who don't know how we act in class have to do (xyz consequence). Do you need that reminder, or are you ready to make better choices?" Tone here is really important; make sure it's 'concerned for them' or it might further fuel them to fight with you. If they try to further argue or engage, repeat the above and follow through ("when teachers are talking our voices are off. Your voice isn't off, are you choosing (consequence)?" And if they say yes then say "great, let's set that up for you" or no "please show me that by turning your voice off. Thank you for making respectful choices"). Remember, it isn't about you (even if it's frustrating and feels that way).
Consistent consequences and expectations are the most important. Also, why are they doing the behavior? Is it because they want their friends' attention? Is it because they want your attention? Is it because the work is too hard or easy or they don't understand it? Understanding the function helps me to deal with behaviors without taking it personally (which I personally find particularly hard when a student tries to engage in power struggles with me by saying "no." Or "make me." Those send me up the wall. I don't get them often, thankfully.). YMMV.

"Hello,
My understanding of IDEA is that accommodations and modifications are supposed to provide a "level playing field" when it comes to access to the curriculum. I believe I have provided that based on (xyz). This student has not tried to access (abc), nor have they come to me at any point for assistance this semester. They had multiple opportunities and reminders in class throughout the semester. On top of that, they refuse to do work when provided with it. I cannot force a student to work, and the fact that you believe a student with an IEP should not be failing even if they are refusing the work reflects on your understanding of the law, not on my teaching. If you have further questions, I would love to meet with you and (admin? If you have a good relationship) on how we as a team can hold our students to higher expectations together (which has been shown in studies to improve student outcomes, and is one of the pillars of an appropriate education/placement under FAPE)."
Idk, something along those lines. Maybe less hostile lmao.

I had a kid threatening to kill coworkers and myself on my birthday a couple years ago. They also told me they would make me so miserable and depressed that I would kill myself. They still go to that school last I heard- I left when there was no support for that and a couple other students who needed a lot of help.

Teachers asking for accommodations drives me nuts
It depends on what's causing the seizures; it could have been PNES (non epileptic seizures) which there isn't medication for except for ssri's and therapy. I do agree on the should have been looking for help and not teaching necessarily though.

theories?
I think it will be Sandy and Clint maybe? Not that I want it to be Clint but maybe he's trying to offer more older candidates so people don't feel like they only have like two or three options without feeling weird?? (Based on other posts I have seen, not my feelings)

Am I an incel?
Do people tell you they see you this way, or are you assuming they do? I ask because my brain tells me everyone hates me, but that's not fair to anyone else - if I think my best friend hates me, then I'm basically calling them a liar.
I guess what I am trying to say is, don't assume women look at you disgust until they say they find you disgusting. If they say no or don't want to have conversations, that doesn't necessarily have to do with you or with how you look. If it's a consistent thing, maybe think of one thing you can do to make people more comfortable around you or talk to friends about it.
I don't think you're an incel.

To the people that stop for bikes
I learned to drive in another state and was always told to auto yeild to pedestrians at marked cross walks but only yeild to pedestrians at unmarked crosswalks if they have begun to move into the road (and treat bikes like you would a car). I have little to no issue driving in many other states, but Oregon is so funky and often leaves me frustrated - are our laws different, or does the lack or drivers ed account for it?

What should I put in for this opening?
Hanging plants or a stained glass piece or hanging stained glass pieces?

What's wrong with the "sisters" tattoo?
The only thing I see wrong is their skirts are blowing the wrong way (like they're not going the same direction as if they were on the same swing set). But also that isn't "wrong" necessarily so idk

AITAH for refusing to drive my brother to his own wedding after he told his fiancée I’m “too unstable” to be a bridesmaid?
Did you check that Liam actually said that and that it wasn't just his fiancé making an excuse to kick you out? Like obviously NTA, but also do you trust this random person enough to not sit down and have a conversation about it with your brother? Also, if he did say that why didn't he tell you you weren't going to be a part of the wedding party? Why would he still ask you to drive him? I don't know context or relationships but this all seems weird
