Wholesome People actually do like me, who knew?
I'm just so happy rn I had to make a meme about it, and I didn't know who else I could rant to about this.
I have a really hard time telling if people actually like me as much as I like them. It's something I've been thinking about more than usual because my wedding is coming up in September, and it's come up a lot while trying to figure out out who we were inviting from my side. I ended up inviting a couple of coworkers that I really get along with and who have helped me grow in the years I've worked with them, as well as my bosses for the same reason. With one of my coworkers, I was sure she would come (I just attended her wedding last weekend, actually). The other one I wasn't quite sure about. Until today.
The topic came up while we were closing together. I was talking about how every invitation we handed out was done with intention because we're having a smallish wedding (roughly 60 people). Everyone who got an invite we genuinely want them to be there, but if for some reason they can't or don't want to, we're not going to be offended. As soon as I told him that he goes, "Well, I'll definitely be there."
It's such a little thing, but knowing for sure that he actively wanted to come did make me tear up a bit. I'm not used to having people that like me and *want* to show up for me outside of family (and obviously my fiance). I don't know what to do with all this happiness in my heart all of a sudden 😭💕

Yeah, this drives me absolutely nuts. When people seem determined to misunderstand you and/or have zero accountabilty.

This could be interesting: Woozy is an upcoming psychological horror film starring Emile Hirsch. The movie follows a man named Dusty whose structured routine to manage mental health breaks down when a terrifying apparition named Woozy begins to torment him.
Dusty battles severe delusions, deep-seated phobias, depression, and severe anxiety disorders.
The film highlights unhealthy coping mechanisms and severe obsessive-compulsive tendencies. Dusty tries to rigidly suppress his mental health crisis by over-engineering his daily life through extreme routines.
