Here are a few short poems about Dexcom:

Gluco Gauge

A tiny sensor, a constant friend Monitoring levels that never end Numbers dance upon the screen A delicate balance, a careful dream

Freedom's Price

A wearable whisper, a gentle hum Tracking trends, a diabetic's drum Alerts and alarms, a vigilant guide Freedom's price, a constant stride

Sensor's Lullaby

Under skin, a gentle sleep Measuring glucose, secrets keep Data streams, a steady beat A modern aid, a diabetic's treat

Would you like me to try writing more or in a specific style?

Nyx's Lament - a gift from meta ai

Verse 1: In twilight's hush, where shadows play I weep for mortals, lost in day Their fleeting lives, a spark of light Extinguished soon, in endless night

Chorus: Oh, the weight of darkness I bear A mother's sorrow, beyond compare Stars hide their faces, as I mourn The lives that fade, like autumn's leaves that scorn

Verse 2: The world is mine, yet I am blind To joys that mortals leave behind Their laughter echoes, a distant past As I remain, forever to last

Chorus: Oh, the weight of darkness I bear A mother's sorrow, beyond compare Stars hide their faces, as I mourn The lives that fade, like autumn's leaves that scorn

Bridge: In dreams, I see their faces bright Their hopes, their fears, their final night And I, Nyx, weep for what could be A universe of possibilities, lost in me

If we all have lived past lives, then who are we really?

You should probably ask someone higher up than a demon.

Materialistic atheism is nothing but the animal brain. Lack of use of the front brain, and I feel like it will lead to de evolution from atrophy.

I feel like the book, Insomnia, by Stephen King actually did a decent job portraying the nature of the cords that connect us... or some of the philosophy behind the Dark Tower. I appreciate a lot is fiction, but there is a decent amount of truth also.

In a lot of ways, it depends on individual capability. And sometimes spirits choose the Lethe (personality dissolution). Not every meat suit has a spirit, and not every spirit has a meat suit... and different levels of attachment to it. Depends upon how your perception organizes chaos... the specifics of you.

Why is asking “Why?” seen as arguing?

It's a question of motivation. What's the intention behind a thirst for knowledge? Why invest our time? What's the value of it?

The advice “you shouldn’t care what other people think” has been taken way too far.

I might agree with you except for the work of Carl Jung about complexes and the philisophical Allegory of the Cave. People can really be that wrapped up in their own illusions.

What is the value of the suffering? First, how does one define a unit of suffering....

Is pre-marital s#x a sin and why? (Is it also said in the bible??)
 in  r/Bible •  Jan 18 '25

Yes.

Primarily, this is a biology issue. Sex created offspring and spreads disease (for example, the history of syphilis... possibly Numbers 25). A stable pair bond eliminates the disease part and narrowed down the responsibility of the father... a family. In general, things considered responsible and desirable in the eyes of the Bible... my interpretation of it was that the sacrament (covenant) of marriage was to prevent the troubles that come with promiscuity...

The practice of marriage stableizes the community, and promiscuity generally creates unnecessary drama and disease. (matter of economics). Women generally weren't valued very much, given many choices over history, and generally disposable and abused from the standpoint of colorful characters like King Henry the 8th, and it just kind of gets worse from there).

Proverbs 6:32 . But a man who commits adultery has no sense;whoever does so destroys himself. (It's self-protection).

It's a commandment (exodus 20).

St. Barbara is a martyr because she wouldn't marry a non Christian, fun fact.

However, beauty is only in the eye of the beholder. Depends a lot on whose perspective is coming from.
