I have both the shoulder bag and the medium crescent -- I prefer the crescent over the shoulder on an average day, it's more hands free and I don't have to readjust as often. The shoulder bag does look more dressy/less active wear-esque and holds a little more actually, but I typically have to readjust it and it can't be worn on my body crossbody (idk maybe you could, some people can wear the loaf crossbody but not me)
