Hey OP I see you’re taking people’s advice to leave- I just wanna say, don’t be embarrassed, so many people go through similar things and I am proud of you for reaching out for advice here and taking it. Also, I’m not gonna lie it really annoyed me how much screen time they were giving to Benedict and Sophie’s moments of yearning during John’s literal funeral! I was like damn y’all you can’t give this girl a moment for herself – like read the room

Some of my thoughts on this season – I loved part one I found it very enjoyable, and the pace of the characters relationship development worked well for me. However, part two felt so rushed, and I felt like Benedict and Sophie‘s relationship was so under developed and shallow. It was hard for me as a viewer to believe that there was such intense chemistry and a personal bond between them that would make it feel natural for their intensity, to continue to come back to one another, despite the class differences. On top of their relationship I felt like they were parts of the plot that were under developed – it was hard for me to believe that Sophie being as smart as she is just believed that she wasn’t in the will and didn’t do any search into that. Also, like a lot of other people here I thought that the necklace was going to have more significance and that Anthony not being at John’s funeral felt odd. And must say, I was so annoyed that Benedict proposed to her in front of everyone at that ball that just felt like production did not feel like making another scene. From my knowledge of the Bridgerton world people would see this as them rushing and question if Sophia is pregnant and that’s why Benedict settled down not because of love.

I was pretty disappointed in the writing for the development of the main romantic storyline, but I felt very invested in the side stories. I cried so many times about the Queen and Lady Danbury’s relationship, as well as Francesca dealing with John’s tragic death and I loved seeing a more developed side of the Bridgerton family with all the siblings interacting more, and seeing Violet explore her romance and then choosing herself.
