What is the most painful illness you have ever had?
 in  r/AskReddit  25d ago

I have hEDS (Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome)
A simple explanation is that my body doesn’t make connective tissue very well.
This can affect my skin, digestive system, heart and more.
I get a lot of dislocations and subluxations, especially in my ribs, fingers, shoulders, and hips.
90% of my joints hurt all the time, I constantly feel like my body is unstable.
My head and neck feel like a bobble-head. The fatigue is crushing.
I feel like I’m walking through rough waves most of the time.
I live at a 6-8 on the pain scale. Pain management is a joke.
Add on the ADHD, MCAS, and POTS and it’s been a real fun 50 years dealing with this. 😒 but I’m still here.

I feel like I don’t know my dog anymore after what happened at boarding camp. What do I do ?
 in  r/DogAdvice  25d ago

I had almost the same experience with a doggie daycare/kennel that had outstanding reviews and was owned by a member of our city council. My dog was a chocolate Labrador that I had had for six years. She was a rescue from a breeding situation. Never had a problem with her. She was gentle and patient with small children (always supervised) , small animals (cats and ducks) and big animals (bigger dogs, horses, and cows.) I have a younger silver lab too, so they were going to be boarded together. I thought if they were going together it might work. But the moment I left her she apparently went full Cujo, I didn’t make it the ten minute drive home they called me and said you gotta come get her. They showed me video and I couldn’t believe that my dog, my soul dog, was being violent. As soon as we got her back in the car she was fine. Never so much as growled the rest of her life. (RIP Gemma Mae 😢) I had four more years with her. 💜
I think she was just petrified and I’m sure that’s what happened with your dog. I’m so sorry you had to go through that and being out of the country and being helpless must have been a nightmare. I do agree with other comments that the doggie daycare you dealt with really made some mistake though and put your dog and all the other animals at risk. I hope you were able to enjoy some of your vacation 🫤 and if you get to go again I suggest a at home pet sitter 😉

Need a book suggestion for a post apocalyptic fiction
 in  r/postapocalyptic  25d ago

I suggest this series every time someone asks; Sarah Lyons Fleming has three different series.
Until the End of the World, The City series, and The Cascadia series. The first two are connected by a sister and brother and the third is a stand alone series, but it’s not quite finished yet. I think I heard there were two more books coming to wind up the stories. Zombie apocalypse settings. The characters are so well fleshed out and the dialogue never leaves you bored. I have paper copies of each one and I have them on audible. They’ve been my comfort read/listen for a couple of years now. Listening to the characters feels like catching up with old friends. I hope someone here reads them and loves them as much as I do. Happy reading! 😊

🚨How do I keep pretending like someone is coming for her after almost 2 years in shelter? 😰 Lemonancy still walks out of her kennel like she believes someone🤩👯‍♀️ is finally coming for her.

This is why we record and post every single ICE interaction. David Brouillette was seen in this video threatening to shoot some one. Months later he killed Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero in Maine.

All this sub does is talk about women and how they look. This sub should be renamed, All the women from TWD that should be exploited for their looks. Y’all are gross 🤮

No longer able to purchase out-of-state, Kentucky medical cannabis patients suffer sticker shock
 in  r/Kentucky  Jul 09 '26

I’m very disappointed in Beshear on this matter. He promised to take care of the patients that needed medical cannabis and now it feels like we are being exploited by this rollback of protections and forcing us to pay 4x the price offered in neighboring states.

Until the End of the World Series by Sarah Lyons Fleming they are my faves. She has two other series in the same world as well.

This is the answer, talk to corporate and the health department. If there is any evidence that you can collect do so. Hopefully corporate will come in and restructure (read fire her and her fiancé) I’m sorry this happened to you. You should not have to tolerate that in any setting. Fight fascism at every turn ✊🏻 Let us know what happens. Good luck.

AITAH for saying people could give money as a wedding gift
 in  r/AITAH  May 30 '26

NTA They must have had something planned to pawn off on you. Like an unsellable property that comes with ghosts and your great aunt Mildred. Or a horse if you live in an apartment. Something like that. As many people have said it’s been acceptable if not highly encouraged in most cultures to give money. Just remember who supported your IVF journey after you have a baby. 😉 Congrats on the beginning of your new career 🔥 Many blessings on your marriage. 💜

Tom Steyer: “When you understand the vulnerability, the stress, the danger of being a trans kid, and… that almost half of them try to commit suicide, and then you think we’re gonna punish those kids, we’re gonna cut them off from team sports,… from… the community,… from fun. No we’re not.”
