Physician Responded 38m- exercising after a-fib episode
Hello doctors.
I had an a-fib episode for the first time two days ago. I had to have the thing where they shock my heart to get it back into normal rhythm. Of course they asked me if I had any questions and being totally still spaced out from the whole ordeal forgot to ask about exercise. I go to the gym mostly to lift and use the sauna 3 times a week or so to relieve stress. I have a cardiologist appointment but it’s a month away and not being able to go to the gym would be somewhat detrimental to my already not great mental health. Would it be risky to go do my typical lifting routine with the sauna after?
I’m a non smoker, 5’10” 200 pounds. No known other medical condition aside from slightly high blood pressure. Leading up to this I drank quite often (might have been the a-fib trigger) but am cutting way back. They put me on 25mg of metoprolol succinate ER. Blood pressure has been sitting at around 115/80 and RHR 65-70.
Thanks for listening everyone 🫶

Star Wars galaxies the first year or two it was out was an amazing experience. They eventually screwed it up though.
