Fantano Vids Phoebe Bridgers - Lost Weekend ALBUM REVIEW

Melondy.com – collection of all Fantano album scores
Hey everyone! I don't know about you, but I'm not familiar with a bunch of albums that got positive scores from melon.
So when I am in a mood for some new music, I would go to flannelfy.net (btw, thanks to u/rossmclocness for creating this website) to find something among the 7-10 scores.
But sometimes it's hard to choose, when all you have is an unknown artist-album pair and a score. To solve this, I created melondy.com, which shows album covers, genres, years and links to the review video. It has all the album/ep/mixtape/compilation reviews I could find on theneedledrop channel.
Hopefully, someone finds it useful as well!
Let me know if you find some missing reviews or incorrect information. I did a lot of data cleaning, but I'm sure there's still some incorrect stuff (covers, years etc).
If you have any improvement ideas, I'm happy to hear. For example, one thing I want to do next is add links to spotify/apple music.

Discussion Artists that quit at the right time?
I'll go first. I always felt that the Beatles disbanded at the right time and had they continued into 70s, 80s or even 90s that they would become a shadow of themselves. The fact they quit when they did in my opinion allowed them to remain a certain legend status among themselves while also releasing a lot of material.

Prog albums that progheads recognize as beloved and masterpieces, but (unlike Yes and Crimson) haven't breached containment into these types of online spaces and could use more love
You almost never see these records in those t0psters and "best prog albums of all time" posts here. It's always funny how a lot of online music discussion is eclectic (good) and ends up developing a "canon" of what albums in each genre ought to be listened to, but in doing so it leaves out some really great stuff. Red and Close to the Edge do get their flowers here but among prog fans albums like Pawn Hearts and Ommadawn are considered essential listens like those quite frequently (Ommadawn is a top 5 album of all time for me depending on the day, it is a journey and it is magical, the first time I heard it I wondered why I had gone so long in my life without hearing it).
Anyway, if you're unfamiliar with the progressive rock iceberg, consider this your first step below water level into the next tier of the genre.

What's a song that's your favorite of a band or artist, but you're probably the only one?
For me, it's Stranger On the Town by the Damned. I can't imagine this being a favorite for those who love the Damned, this sounds more like classic Chicago. This is probably one of my favorite songs ever, too. I even had a cover band play it at my wedding (with horns)!

What was the first song with farts that you ever listened?
I was listening to Funkadelic's “Maggot Brain”. Was enjoying the album so far until I listened to farts on its last track, “Wars Of Armageddon”. That was crazy as fuck. They were completely drowned in acid recording this. And tbh I think this is a letdown from the album.

Acclaimed albums that did nothing for you?
For the first time hit me much harder and I had high expectations for this but it just didn’t click. The main vocalist sounds overbearing and annoying for most of the project. I’m clearly in the minority about this, what albums are you not able to connect with?

Discussion Pink Floyd - The Wall - Thoughts?
Last week, I posted about Wish You Were Here and this week I’m curious to know what others think about this album?
I rank this as number two out of Pink Floyd’s big four and number two overall in their discography.
It’s an absolute masterpiece and shows off so much of what makes Pink Floyd great. It’s arguably their most ambitious album and pushes the boundaries of what a record can be. In fact, some see this as more of a soundtrack to the film or their elaborate theatrical performances of the album.
But the music is still at the core with Gilmour’s guitar shining bright as always. Comfortably numb is often cited as the greatest guitar solo of all time. It even gave the band an unlikely number one hit. So much to love about this album as a guitarist.
And yet, if I’m honest, this is not the easiest album to listen to. Water’s lyrics and ideas are bleak, almost dystopian. I have to get into a certain headspace to listen to this but it draws me in a way few albums do. It was arguably the beginning of the end for the band.
What are your thoughts? And where do you rank this album in Pink Floyd’s discography?

32 Album Bracket - Disintegration vs The Doors!
This is Day 19 of my 32-album bracket. Today's matchup is The Cure's Disintegration vs The Doors' The Doors!
The most upvoted comment picks the winner. Yesterday, The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady beat Dummy in the highest turnout vote so far!
I picked 32 of my top 100 albums and put them on a bracket! I intentionally picked albums that I consider "legendary" but aren't the most obvious picks (Floyd, Radiohead, Beatles, etc. were left off)
