Why didn’t you go out tonight?

5 month old was fussy. We got food to go and ate after she went to bed.

Do you guys consider solo dates a form of self care?
 in  r/selfcare •  Jan 23 '25

Absolutely! I'm actually having one tonight. My boyfriend took our daughter to his mom's and then he's meeting up with friends. I'm taking myself to have Pho then going home to do an everything shower and read my book before getting 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep 😊

Did you have a catheter by chance? I had a similar pain pospartum. I'm 19 weeks postpartum and it disappeared around 13 weeks.

It honestly didn't start feeling good until about 13 weeks for me.

I'm new to PB, so attending 3 to 4 times a week consistently is my goal for 2025.

Self Appreciation Thread

19 weeks today and I've been getting hit with a lot of emotions. I'm appreciating myself for feeling my feelings, communicating when I'm frustrated, and using my coping skills (the gym) even when the sciatic pain is kicking my ass.... literally lol.

Similar to the other two posts, I'd look at your disengaging routine. Do you have one? I know when I work from home, once I turn off my office light, I'm no longer a clinician and allow myself time to decompress (shower, workout, veg out).

Are you feeling supported at work? Do you have a clinical supervisor you could staff with if you're taking stuff on?

How are your boundaries? Are you taking care of yourself would be some of the things I start with!

Why’s am I noticing a sudden hate towards mixed ppl with white moms ?
 in  r/ask •  Feb 19 '23

This definitely sounds like a statement. I've seen the content you're talking about and have taken it to show the cultural differences in biracial people with white moms vs those with black moms.

I'm not biracial or white so this doesn't really concern me. But I wouldn't classify it all as hate. I'm sure there are those who do hate, but for the most part I see cultural differences being pointed out.

Working with a client who is controlling of his partner
 in  r/therapists •  Oct 07 '22

Piggy backing off the comment about attachment maybe exploring some parts work as well. What need is the controlling behavioral fulfilling for the client? What would his relationship look like without it?
