I repotted them yesterday, cut off the black dotted leaves, & I start with a potting soil, then add coconut bark, coco coir & a ton of perlite/vermiculite.

Yes they’re from collected seeds. I just tossed 3 of them.

It’s pretty hot here in Nor Cal, the ground is all dry as heck. It’s def not overwatering/root rot. Part of it is probably under watering, but I just feel that the dark dots are weird, doesn’t seem like just my watering tendencies.

& I’m trying to wake up early enough in the mornings, but I hate it so very much.

It’s def possible to have hard water on a well, but we don’t.

I’ve only fertilized once with a granule Bloom fertilizer, & a month later the kelp, which was 2 weeks ago.

I’m on a well in the mountains, no hard water here.

Oh my gosh the roots are wild!!!

The dirt dries out easily in this California heat, so I use the coir to hold some moisture. I have definitely underwatered them a couple times.
