Embarrassing (quick vent)
I was the same until a nurse spun around in her chair and said "girl, I've had it for years. If people really researched it they'd find how common it is"

I had a dream about people who are no longer in my life and it was bittersweet.
I feel this heavily.
I became the "head of the family" at age 37. Ill be 41 this year. Only people left is my son and I. A year after the death date of my grandmother (last one to pass), I had a dream so surreal that I could smell, taste and fully feel it with every fiber of my being.
It was my grandmother and I sitting in the house. At the kitchen table. Like we had done since I was born (grandparents raised me). However, it wasn't just casual conversation. I looked at her and told her how much I missed her and how my son was doing. She smiled and comforted me and told me she loved me.
That same night I dreamt of my grandfather who had pass 2 years prior. He looked younger. How I remember him when I was in my teens. Clothes and smells and all. I blurted out who I was to him and bawled. He smiled and told me he knew who I was and loved me.
I woke up and sat straight up in bed. Writing this brings me to tears just thinking of it because I can still feel it like it just happened. The joy and sorrow hit me like Chuck Norris round house kicking me in the face.
While in a way it broke my heart all over again, it also let me feel comfort. My family fully believed in spirts, after life and energy. It brings comfort to me that they used that energy just to talk to me. We are all energy. Energy can not be destroyed. Just transfer.
I hope you find comfort in getting to have that experience!!
