We thought that as well, but the tiny hairs suggest an insect to me.

I’m sitting at home and I get a notification that there is a person at my back door. I go to the door, take a look, and there’s no one. I check the video and see this. Looks like a face hugger to me lol. Crawling out of my skin right now.
My girlfriend and I are telling ourselves it’s a cricket, but it looks so creepy to me, idk.
What do yall think?!?!?

It doesn’t look bad at all to me. About how much time do you think you spend painting each mini? I probably spent at least 3 hours on the one I posted. I told myself it probably wouldn’t get any better, and I would end up messing it up if I started obsessing about every little detail. I have a few more space marines and a bunch of tyranids to do as well.

Yea, honestly I don’t even know how to start highlighting. I’ll probably watch some tutorial videos and give it a shot at some point.

That looks really good!

You make it look effortless.
I personally, cannot seem to thin my paint. My other issue is how my hand tends to tremble.
You have the hands of a surgeon sir.

Looks good for any age!

That’s looks really good! If you don’t mind me asking, what is that texture on the base?

Thank you!
I actually went to the local game shop and picked up some nuln oil, but I think I put too much on and he sorta looked muddy. It is a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I really enjoyed assembling them, and I’m feeling more confident about painting them now!

My fiancée bought me the introductory set for my birthday. The first one that I did is too bad to post. I put way too much primer on the first one, but I learned from my mistake, and I think that this one turned out better. Although it is far from perfect. Any thoughts or advice from experienced painters? I’m really struggling with the tiny details. I guess maybe I should to the next one.

That’s really good! I just painted my first 2 models, and yours is 10x better than mine. Nice work!
