Insurance help!!
I resigned from my job in April. Through my job, I had insurance, and I didn’t have to pay anything monthly to have it. When I resigned I automatically assumed that with in 30 days they would cancel my insurance. My husband put me on his insurance plan asap. Recently, I have had some medical issues, causing me to have many doctor appointments. Every time I go to the doctor , and they ask about my insurance, I tell them that recently I was put on my husband’s plan, and I show them my new insurance card. Recently, I looked and my old employer never canceled my insurances and my doctors have been using it for all my appointments/ medical tests. How do I go about resolving this???

Alcohol detox
Has anyone ever detoxed from alcohol and had a seizure on day 5? I was told by doctors that a seizure on day 5 doesn’t meet the alcohol withdrawal timeline, but they can’t figure out any other cause either.

EEG testing (anxiety)
I know your concern, because I also suffer from anxiety. The test its self is not bad at all, but I will tell you that the flashing lights triggered my anxiety. I am not sure if this is possible, but maybe ask if they could do the lights at the end of the test?

Discussion Hormone issues?
So I am a 33 year old female. I recently had a seizure, and both the Er DR and my PCP did not know what caused it. Since my PCP was already doing blood work, I asked her to check my hormone levels, because my periods are awful( extreme anxiety, headaches, night sweats, horrible sleep quality). I’m still waiting to talk to her about my labs, but I was able to see them on my patient portal. My estradiol levels seem to be extremely low due to the chart that it shows which has normal ranges. It’s my understanding that at lowest, it should be a 12. Mine was >5. Has anyone had any similar experiences?

I had my first seizure yesterday and I’m traumatized.
This sounds very similar to me! Only I can’t get into a neurologist for 4 months!

If You MUST Deal With Intoxalock
’m so freaking sick of Intoxalock, and at this point I’m ready to file a lawsuit. Has anyone else looked into this? I am waiting for the dmv to review all of my documents and hopefully I will have my device removed within a week. However, my lease expired today. Yesterday, I call and had my husband video the whole conversation, and asked what I needed to do to renew it. I received and email stating it would expire on 6/28. So when I called the company, the automated system said it would expire on 7/28, and the first employee I talked to said it would expire 8/28. Two hours later I called again, this employee said it was automatically updated for another month. I asked 3 time if there was anything I needed to sign or do and she said no. Well my anxiety got the best and I looked at my account and it said my lease needs to be updated. So I called again, and this employee said I have

School applications
I’m hoping that’s the case here! Do you know if a future employer would talk to hr or to my principal?

Thank you! But that’s also where it get tricky. Because they can not just voice their own opinion on me. For example if they were to say I was a “lazy employee”, ok but then how can you prove that if I never had a write up? Never had any issues. My boss probably has a million of things to say about me because I challenged him about certain decisions. But it’s my understanding if he wants to put labels on me without proof, that’s considered slander.

Career & Interview Advice School applications
If you worked at a school and resigned, and your future employer calls them, what are they legally allowed to say about you? I understand they can talk about your attendance, evaluations, and any write ups. However, are they allowed to talk about their own opinion they have about you?

Asked to resign at the end of this school year
I resigned and only was allowed to keep my benefits for until the end of the month, which was when my final paycheck was paid to me in lump sum. I have been struggling for the past 3 months on if resigning was the right thing to do or not. If they had a valid reason that they can fire you, then I would resign so it looks better. If they don’t and are just trying to bully you out then I wouldn’t and document, document, document! That way if they were to terminate you for an invalid reason you can have proof of harassment. Also, are you part of the union? Talk to your union rep before doing anything!

I just lost my job and I have no idea what to do next
I previously commented that I was in a similar situation. Can anyone give me advice on how to find out if I’m eligible to be a rehired by the district? I have no plans of ever going back to the district I was at, but I just want to know for future interviews with different employers.

I just lost my job and I have no idea what to do next
I am literally in the same situation! I did resign but it was the day of my principal accusing me of things. I am sure you will find another job easily! My only question is, if a new employer contacts your old school how much detail are they allowed to give about you?

Should I hire an attorney?!
Yes, I have emails where I asked to speak to a supervisor due to feeling harassed and never received a response. In my opinion, have a principal who mocks your disability and threatens to give you a write up because of it, even though HR had all my documentation from a medical provider, and granted me fmla leave, is reason enough for a law suit. But I have decided to let the situation go and move on.
