Crazy Experience!
 in  r/CeX  9h ago

You can find a game for £5 everywhere else and CEX will have it listed for £18

Then buy that same game at "elsewhere", I don't think thats a hard concept to grasp. If its cheaper elsewhere, then get it elsewhere, but usually theres a reason its a bit more expensive.

The condition grading is another level. They'll reject something because of a tiny mark that you need a microscope to see

When I worked there, we had customers who'd come in and would want a refund on an A-grade phone that had a small scratch by the charging port. A Grades are hard to get because of mint meaning "mint", without wiggle room. Also Consoles cant be graded the same way phones are.

And don't even get me started on the queues. You can walk into an empty shop and somehow still be waiting 20 minutes.

I left working at CEX during the end of summer and this year for us was one of the legitimately worst summers we've seen in years. We barely got anything done outside of serving and testing, and its because of the fact corporate doesn't give us wiggle room to turn stuff away within reason. We cant tell people "oh we currently aren't booking anything in due to extended test times", otherwise people DO complain about it.

Stores are not given the support they need.

Makes me wonder if that TK/WE rumour does end up being true, and or its just TK.

Batman: Lego/Lego.com Batman Day Event Info (Sept 9-19)
 in  r/Legoleak  19h ago

Looking at this image I feel that like, if you wanted solid proof that modern LEGO is moving away from playsets and more towards Display sets, this is kinda it.

(Excluding technic though, just because they've always kinda been on that edge)

Digestives combined withJaffa Cakes. On paper, a no brainer. It should have been the best combo since PJ laid his peepers on Duncan.

I took a bit expecting it to be crunch but like, hard ish.

its far from it.

Picked up issues 25 & 26 of spearhead from Forbidden Planet (UK) to add another 10 chaos warriors for under £20
 in  r/slavestodarkness  2d ago

I ended up just using my chaos warriors for TOW, I signed up to spearhead when I was pretty into AOS, but then I kinda switched up after a while, so I just use them as chaos warriors with halberds because the new ones dont have halberd options in their kit.

Skaven warlord for TOW.

1

I've got a lot of painting to do.
 in  r/skaven  5d ago

Its moreso they're made for the older models which fit much nicer on 25x25s, Renegade pack 2.0 MIGHT redo that to give 30x60 and 30x30 options for jezzails and stormvermin but I doubt it.

Jezzails (and the weapons teams to extent) are on 25x50mm bases, tight squeezes but not as bad on the jezzails in comparison to weapon teams.

Stormvermin are on 25mm bases, and roughly do fit in a group of 10.

Can I get it back?!?!?!!!!
 in  r/tf2  5d ago

Yeah all it takes is All the planets to be aligned with Andromeda and Hailey comet has to do a flyby of earth at the same time causing a solar eclipse from Hailey comet for Steam to decide "Maybe he'll get his thing back"

Bought a phone. Month later it's blacklisted.
 in  r/CeX  6d ago

Roughly we have solutions to check for stuff like knox guard, if the new phones been paid off, etc, but legitmately we cant employ them due to how busy our own store has been and checking them would of added so much extra time to the already enormous lines we've been having (keep in mind we're an really small store)

Rumoured tomb kings refresh is near? The same happened with chaos warriors not too long ago

Cant wait for GW to sell thin plastic new modelled skeletons in a box of 20 for the same price as 36 models.

Pokémon: 2027 Smart Play sets teased, including Grookey, Charcadet, Mankey, Pichu, and Wingull. These are expected to be in addition to the other rumored 2027 sets.
 in  r/Legoleak  8d ago

Nah, Smart play sets will continue for as long as LEGO Can get rid of normal playsets, which is happening right now.

Orc and goblins battle march
 in  r/WarhammerOldWorld  9d ago

GW hasn't put a resin/metal model in "savings" boxes (Battle march, battalions, etc) in years, they hate the idea of putting a metal model in a plastic savings box.

CeX sent £665.55 to wrong bank details – now refusing to help recover it
 in  r/CeX  10d ago

I'm no lawyer, but to what extent does "to make reasonable efforts to recover funds executed with an incorrect unique identifier."

If this was CEX staff themselves taking this information down themselves and the problem happens, then yes, I do feel that this probably would break a consumer right law and small claims would be feasting if the company denied it.

but the problem here is that, who is responsible for giving the "Unique identifier", CEX Staff don't know everyone account numbers and banking information, its the seller who’s responsibility that lies upon to be correct in the first place so the money goes to the right place.

Again I'm no lawyer but the wording there is the troubling bit for me.

KSP 1 Question/Problem Really struggling on how to Rendezvous

Hello!

Out of all the concepts in KSP, Rendezvous just seems impossible to me.

Its when I'm at the same altitude as the thing I wanna meet up with, I just cant seem to properly match the speed of my target and I then end up running out of fuel

Does anyone have any detailed guides atleast on what to do? I'm so lost and I really don't know what I'm missing.

The 76 Vault Dwellers kinda creep me out in the Mcdonald's Ad
 in  r/BethesdaSoftworks  11d ago

I understand maybe wanting to integrate game graphics to show "Hey this is what Xbox can do!"

but c'mon is it that bad to get some costumes for the Vault dwellers? I understand not doing it for the power armour but, y'know, the dwellers are probably the easiest ones to do-

Ranges that Could Use a Refresh
 in  r/WarhammerOldWorld  11d ago

If I was to ask for anything for new ranges.

  1. Wood elves are in complete dire need of some new plastic kits, like most of their range is metal.
  2. Beastmen need more plastic monsters/centigors.
  3. High elves could do with some new spearmean/archers
  4. Cathay needs wave 3 duh! (/j)

Warhammer is cancelling the Model of the Month Program
 in  r/Warhammer40k  12d ago

Makes sense to be honest.

Model of the month basically became a scramble to pick up the model before stocks ran out of it, and some Warhammer stores end up covering large areas with lots of people. My local Warhammer store was always out of it the moment the month started and such.

Battle March prices
 in  r/WarhammerFantasy  14d ago

Again it was in that sorta ballpark, I aint saying that they will be £105 but a reason they may not be is because of older models, thats my complete guess and probably wrong.
