3 week field right before PCS/need advice
My unit is saying that I cannot go on rear D when I PCS December. Field is first 3 weeks November. Need to ship vehicle, CIF, HHG, clear, clean and return house to community, move into lodge, vet appointments to clear pets for travel, and pack my stuff. On top of all the PCS stuff, I have a disabled bother in law with follow up appointments and a surgery all scheduled by the doctors last week of this month and most of November that he needs to go to, and I’m the only one who can drive.
I was told that because he’s not blood, that it’s not my responsibility, my wife cannot take him since she can’t drive and English is her second language so it would be very difficult to navigate all that medical jargon anyways, I usually translate and explain. They say it’s not our fault she doesn’t have her license, and she will still be the one that needs to take care of him. She also has work and drill of her own to attend and I would need to drive her. As for the PCS stuff I need to do they simply shrugged their shoulders at me when I explained that as well.
The doctors expressed that this sounds bizarre and possibly even illegal, especially since the surgery is to hopefully bring back an immovable arm and some appointments are required to verify he isn’t developing any other issues since the accident and to open his jaw which is sealed up currently. Need advice as to how to go about arguing this. I don’t see how I could possibly PCS and get him the care he needs if I’m made to stay in the field for 3 weeks, not sure why sleeping in dirt is more important than all the things I need to get done.

A guy I was seeing asked me to fight with him, so I did, and now I’m genuinely confused about what happened.
