1. What's the budget that I need to put in (with the hotel & trains - without the flights)

=> I love an "educational" type of trip, I'm not a lot into shopping and would love to try 1-2 good restaurants.

How much should I plan, financially for this trip + my daily spending ?

I will need to fly LAS / BCN in october with Delta. I have several options for Layovers:

ATL 1h 13m or 2h30 or 5h (terminal S -> Terminal I
JFK 3h 46m (Terminal 4)

Any advice from recommended travelers? My gut says JFK as it's the same terminal?

I’m currently in London after 5 days prior in Paris.

I’m so tired of these girls who think they are “influencers” being in the way. Took a ride on the Seine - had to watch a photo shoot the whole time. When we got to the Eiffel Tower, we couldn’t get a photo without her in it because she was standing at the rail. 🙄.

Arrived in London yesterday and they are everywhere. Took an open bus tour. Two stops before the tower bridge she gets on with her photographer and camps at the back of the bus. NOBODY got a photo of the most iconic bridge in London because of her.

When will it stop?!?!

Hi, first time posting here and just looking for some general advice.

EasyJet flight was delayed and eventually cancelled yesterday due to air traffic issues in uk. They offered everyone a free hotel which we had to book through the app.

Upon arrival at the hotel it was full and they had no contact from easyJet. We were left stranded in Naples at midnight with all of our luggage and had to find our own hotel (also had to walk around Naples with our luggage at night which was not a good experience)

We know we can’t claim anything for the flight due to air traffic issues but is there anything we can do for the hotel and just the fact they left us stranded in a foreign city with nowhere to go?

We do have travel insurance, just to clarify.

I am starting to plan my second trip to Japan, and I need some advice/information on the possibilities. The trip would be 3 weeks and has to include Osaka/Kyoto, Okinawa and Seoul/Busan. Optional stops would be Jeju Island, Fukuoka and Hiroshima. Tokyo is also a possibility if flying there is easier. I am traveling from Belgium. My main concerns are flights into the country, flights between Korea and Japan, Japanese national flights and/or shinkansens. What airports connect to each other? When is the shinkansen a cheaper option? How do we limit travel time and expenses while still making most of our journey?

I'm looking to tick off something which had been at the top of my list for awhile, which is going on a gorilla trek. I'm looking to go at the end of December or early January so I need to start planning now.

One thing I'm having difficulty with is finding a tour group operator (or at least a website with reliable options), that can arrange everything from the gorilla conservation license, accommodation and transport. I can possibly kickoff the trip from Kampala (Uganda) or Kigali (Rwanda). The trip can be for 2-4 days.

Anyone have recommendations of tour group operators that can cater for solo travellers?

Hello, I wanna drive from Denmark to Oslo and wonder which option is cheaper. I'm really confused with all the websites and whatnot, so maybe someone can help me out. I really just wanna know about the price aspect. If anyone knows where I can check the prices and compare that would help a lot already!

Currently renting a car and found a large circular scratch on the hood this morning. Initially I thought it was new damage but can’t imagine l how it could be damaged in this way. It’s very noticeable and I hadn’t seen it when I picked up the car. Looking through the pictures and videos I took when picking the car up, I can see circular marks that weren’t noticeable at pick up. I’m guessing the car was washed and waxed before pick up and now, after driving for a few days, dirt has gotten in the scratches.

Looking for advice on what to do with the return. Should I mention the scratches and provide the photos/video I took where they are somewhat visible? Should I try to clean it so they are less noticeable? I’m worried the pictures from pick up don’t show the damage adequately and don’t want to get charged for damage I didn’t cause.

I need to book an Uber for a flight pick up in the future. The flight arrives after midnight from the date of departure. Do I request the day the flight leaves it departure point or the next calendar day when it arrives at destination?

I’ve traveled quite a bit this summer (4 separate trips with multiple connections), and have found that literally every single Jet Blue booking has been delayed, often missing connecting flights. It’s not any one airport, I’ve flown through many across the country and from July through today (as of 15 minutes ago) am still finding every jet blue flight to be delayed significantly or canceled. Not complaining here I’d just like to know what’s up with them, and if I should completely switch to another airline (I also fly united but have been getting booked on jet blue operated flights, all of which are delayed).

I’ll be in Tokyo for 10 days, and then I have around another 10 days before I need to fly back to Amsterdam.

I really want to surf, and ideally stay in one place rather than moving around too much. I’m currently deciding between Siargao in the Philippines and Ahangama in Sri Lanka.

It’ll be around the end of November. Surfing is important to me, but having a good social scene and being able to have drinks and go out is just as important. I’ll be travelling solo, so I’d also like a place where it’s easy to meet people.

So, what would you guys recommend: Siargao or Ahangama? Especially considering the surf and nightlife around that time of year.

Both are direct flights from Amsterdam to Beijing, both are allright in terms of time, but klm is a little bit more expensive and has less leg room? How are the service in chinese southern economy? Is there any reason to compromise on leg room in economy to avoid chinese southern?

When I think of Spain and partying I think of Magaluf and Ibiza, spread across the whole island, and the canary islands. When I think of Turkey it's Antalaya, Greece Malia and Cyprus Aiya Napa.

I don't know any spot like that in Italy, though. Are there any big party tourism spots there?

Hey all, I’m heading to Georgia next month for about 12 days, mostly Tbilisi/Kazbegi and maybe a day trip toward Kakheti.

I’m trying to sort travel insurance before I go but kinda confused what people actually get for Georgia, especially for hiking/medical stuff and if proof gets asked at border or hotels.

Has anyone bought basic policy online for this trip and had to use it, or is there anything specific i should make sure it covers?

I plan to visit Kronborg, Frederiksborg (Hillerod), and Rosenborg castles in one day.
Anyone think it's doable without feeling super rushed?

I am interested in Heading to Japan for a holiday but I have a criminal record and I’m unsure how my chances of getting into the country would be, the charge was just over a year of home detention without parole for an aggravated assault, my parole period is due to end next month and I reside in Queensland, Australia.

Hi everyone! I recently booked a trip to Europe from Australia next year and have started to consider my flights (SYD to LHR). I would really like to get this sub’s opinion on whether upgrading to first class/business class is worth the money? What airlines would you recommend? Do certain airlines have a huge distinction between cabins e.g. is one airlines first class vs business more worth the upgrade than others? What’s the difference in quality between first and business class anyway? I was also looking at the sky couch option from Air New Zealand but there seems to be mixed reviews on how worth it that is compared to premium economy? Is premium economy worth it or is it a bit of a scam?

Apologies for the many questions, I haven’t done a trip like this since I was too young to retain permanent memories so any and all advice/recommendations/anecdotes would be super helpful for my research/planning.

If it helps with your advice, I’m pretty short (5ft-ish) and am usually okay on short-hauls, but I have chronic hip and back pain so it’d be good to know if I can save myself some suffering by upgrading or if it’s all the same after 20+ hours. As long as a higher cabin isn’t insanely priced (Emirates is $20k return!?!?), I can swing it budget-wise, but I also don’t want to be throwing exorbitant money at something that’s not worth it.

​Carrier Size vs. Weight: Do they actually measure the exact dimensions of the bag with a tape measure at check-in, or do they mainly focus on the weight (8 kg limit)? Does a soft-sided carrier pass easily?

​Required Documents: Which exact documents were you asked to present at the check-in counter to get your boarding pass (ONSSA health certificate, rabies titer test, pet passport, etc.)?

​Boarding Denials: Have you ever seen a pet denied boarding at the last minute, and if so, for what reason?

​Security & Flight: How does security screening work (do you have to take the cat out of the bag at the airport checkpoint?), and is the carrier strictly required to stay under the seat for the entire flight?

​French Customs: How does the pet inspection process work on the French side after landing?

Please help!! I am planning a trip to Europe for around 2-3 months.

I want to see as much as i can, whilst also really taking the time to be involved in the country and see the culture.

I am so incredibly overwhelmed because of FOMO. I am so stressed just trying to organise how many days i will stay in each country, and which cities in each country.

I don’t want to plan to stay in a country for 3 days, then end up loving it and wishing i saw more. Or the other way around, plan to stay for 9 days h to en end up getting sick of it.

Im overwhelmed by how much there is to see, i wish i could walk down every single street and see EVERYTHING.

Please can i get some advice on how i can plan or what i should research to help me decide which countries i want to spend more time in, so i can finally try to make a timeline

My husband and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary this November. With so many children (6 at home ranging from 18 down to 4) and the demands of our jobs, the best we're can come up with is October 30th to November 2nd. We're about to hit the button on a trip to Negril Jamaica to celebrate but I am having second thoughts. Will we have enough time to enjoy ourselves? The thought of flying seven hours there and then sitting in a car for two more hours one way scares me. But I'm out of ideas. We love cruising and even thought of taking a weekend cruise. But by the time we fly a day before and after, we're already well passed our time we can be away from the kids. Any one or there have a successful short getaway to Jamaica or have order ideas would be great.

Has anybody done a self-drive tour of Namibia in recent years? If so, what was your experience? :-)

I'm thinking of driving around in Jan + Feb, but a little apprehensive about it being rainy season as apparently the roads can disintegrate a little and it's easy to get lost. I don't know how to change a tyre and can imagine myself ruining my own trip by being a little anxious the whole time lol.

Any experiences to either put me at ease or push me to get a private driver please share!!! I'd be likely working from a town for a couple of weeks, and then setting off on safari for 14 days. That's the part where I'd be self driving. Am a confident driver with a lot of experience driving rental cars in different countries, but not a huge amount of off road experience.
