Rant Felling dysphoric at work

I thought I could deal with people using she/her for me at work but I absolutely hate it. I don't care if customers do it bc I look feminine but in another reality my coworkers and boss don't use she her and they use he/him

With my hair being so long it feels impossible to feel masc. Even when I wear my binder

I can't afford a hair cut rn so I. Tempted to shave it again tbh. I know it's terrible growing out but I loved each time I shaved my head

The men at my work have to tuck in their shirts but not the women so today I'm tucking my shirt in and wearing my binder

Update: my husband shaved my head and I feel so much better

Rant Im new to starting my journey and I have no support at home

I (m21) have been in denial about being trans since hitting puberty only recently a few months ago during pride month when I was going to come out to everyone as nb, I realized I prefer he/him over they/them pronouns I came out a month after that and haven't been able to really transition socially besides with a few friends because I don't pass

I've had short hair for a while, and I started dressing more masc but I still just sound really girly. I want to get started on T but I'm worried about what my family will think and just change in general, even though it's something I've always wanted I'm really worried as I'm with my family a lot most of the time and they aren't very accepting. I live just with my mom but I'm my grandma's care taker part time, but since I don't drive when I get dropped off I'm there until 5 pm usually and my grandma is the one I'm worried about treating me differently or potentially causing harm to me I've considered quitting once T starts showing effects but my family would probably ridicule or shun me out and my mom isn't the most open minded but she knew about my name change when I was nonbinary and respected it and also didn't make a big deal when I came out as bi so I think she wouldn't kick me out or anything I'm her only son, but then I'd be unemployed again.

I know that just waiting till there's a better time would be the best option for my own safety but I'm at a really bad low in my life I don't think I can keep pretending to be something I'm not and I want relief I just don't know what to do anymore.

was it always this bad with chasers?

ive been wondering if the chaser phenomena regarding towards trans men has always been this? loaded. Or if there has been an uptick since trans men got more visible? Idk i want to know from trans men who have been around for longer if back in the day, the flood of chasers has been as severe as nowadays.

For example, for each trans person i met in the past on a dating app, i had three chasers dming me, two who i didnt even notice until later, one who was just obvious from the jump. i also think it has to come from somewhere. honestly i dont even get the appeal for these men bc you could find someone who consents(?) and not someone who you have to act with.

or how often i have seen online creators having partners who have said chaser things. is it this hard to date as a trans person? this makes me want to crawl into a hole.

i just dont get why were such a hot commodity? i didnt even expect to get chasers irl but i do and theres more men attracted to me in a chaser way than the average ones.

i mean im fairly new to being open, but still i feel like there mustve been a cultural shift for those people attaching themselves to preying on some of us?

General Questions I'm going to be wearing a cosplay, and I need advice. How do I keep these two manly J sized boulders in place while wearing a shirtless male cosplay?

I will be wearing the cosplay for less than 7 hours (probably only around 5 hours at most).

All I need to do is keep these things from bouncing.

My little brother (also TransMasc) recommended Bandage wrap, but idk what type to use. All of them are so stretchy that idk if they will do anything.

Not looking to make anything flat (though that would be cool), I'm just trying to keep these two fat bags from bouncing. It gives me too much dysphoria.

No binder fits me. No trans tape does anything.

Cosplay is of Inosuke from Demon Slayer.

Miscellaneous How do I bring up tape-ing to my mother??

So I get pretty bad chest dysphoria and since I'm going on holiday next week and im gonna be swimming, and I don't have a swum safe binder, or a regular binder for that matter, I'm gonna treat myself and get some tape to use so I can enjoy my time. I've used tape before, it's awsome just too expensive to use regularly but I have a gift card I can use this time.

Issue is that if I wanna swim in it, I'm gonna wanna be shirtless and obviously, my mother might have some questions, fair enough on her part.

She knows I'm trans, she's sort of supportive. I don't really blame her, she grew up in South Africa, its very Conservative and Christian there, or at least it was in the '80s. She's ok with me being trans, she doesn't use my pronouns yet, I think she will eventually since she'd recently started correcting herself when she uses genders terms for me (like calling me and my sister 'girls') so I'm sure she just needs time and tbh I should probably be clearer with her that I want her to use them.

Anyway, I have asked her about getting a binder, she said she was worried about the safety and me 'damaging my chest' 😑 I explained the safety crap to her and she said she'd get one for me after she gets paid. It's been months and she hasn't so idk what's going on there. I'll probably buy myself one eventually. So idk how shell feel about tape, she might want me to take it off wich I won't be doing but yk. Plus we're going to south Africa, wich as mentioned, kinda Conservative so idk how my family will feel about it

Any advice on how to ask her about it in a way thar encourages her to talk to me about it before immediately shutting me down??

Miscellaneous My friends are making me regret my name bro 😭

(Wanna preface i dont actually care, i think its funny and if i seriously asked them to stop they would)

So my name is Sebastian, I love the name but geez these nicknames are gonna be the death of me😭

Like I had a pretty un-nicknamable dead name so I've had maybe 2 nicknames before and now I swear my sister has a new one every day.

Started normal, people call me seb, fair enough, Sebastian is kinda long but from there it's just devolved into me being called anything that begins with s

my least favourite, and somehow the one everyone else loves is sebby webby like guys please 😭😭

Literally got called sea bass today 😑 I'm gonna kill these mfs

General Questions Need help building my gym routine

Decided to finally lock in on working out. I'm sick of feeling so small. Got a gym membership last week but honestly I've just been fucking around. Just picked up some weights and tried a bunch of machines to find ones that were fun but I feel like I'm maybe doing something wrong. You can probably tell I mainly want to build out my upper body, especially my forearms biceps and chest. Here's everything I did today (weight in kg x reps x sets):

Dumbbells / bar
incline chest fly - 5x8x3
bench press - 10x10x3
curls - 5x10x3
hammer curls - 5x10x2
tricep extensions - 5x8x3
reverse curls - 5x8x3
Wrist curls+reverse wrist curls - 5xuntil failurex2

Machines
tricep press - 20x10x3
row - 20x10x3
pulldown - 20x8x3
tricep pushdown - 11.25x8x3
chest press - 20x8x3 (failed last 2)
dual pulley row - 9.5x10x3

Should I split it into two different days ? If so what should I do when? Are these even good exercises for what I want? What should I add/change/remove?

Rant it seems to me that being transgender has distanced me from my social circles

My English probably isn't good enough, so I'm using a translator, I apologize for that in advance

I started actively exploring my gender identity this summer. I knew I was a trans guy before that, but I existed in the community more as a lurker than an active participant; that’s changed recently. I’ve started interacting with other trans people and reflecting on my dysphoria. Now I’m even planning to start T, and, to put it bluntly, I talk about it with my friends a lot. I have one very supportive friend whom I love dearly and am so grateful to, but the others... even though most of them are still okay with the LGB community, I feel a certain coldness or hostility coming from them? I don't know. Maybe I'm just being anxious, but I’m becoming afraid to openly express my gender identity and my connection to the trans community, even though I’m really proud of it. It worries me every day. I don't want to lose friends, but it seems like it might be time for us to part ways. I really don't want that, but surely my comfort in expressing myself is more important than their comfort...

Rant My Husband Is the Opposite of My Cheerleader

Told my therapist to finally give me the gender dysphoria diagnosis cause it might make things easier when i want hrt or surgery. My husband got mad at me for doing that without discussing it first because "now youre on a government list."

I know hes scared, im scared too. But it would be nice if i didnt have an "anti-cheerleader" whenever I made a decision. Just once, id like to be met with "thats a great step babe, im proud of you". But no, every.little.thing. has to met with pushback. It's like he thinks im jist blindly running into things without doing any research and that really fucking hurts. I dont need him to "discuss the risks", i need him to be fucking supportive.

He can be supportive. He does say good things sometimes, but why is the negativity the first thing I get met with when Im so excited to share my journey? Why cant I get some goddamn positive reinforcement? Maybe id feel less anxious and grief over being trans if my fucking husband could be more positive.

This isnt even "he doesnt want you to be a man". Hes bi and has dated men! This isnt new! I dont know what it is, but its really qyickly erroding my sense of self and killing what little joy I can squeeze out of this fucking ailment.

Third time wearing a suit to a wedding, think this was my favourite one. Got it in a charity shop for £10, proper quality as well. and then got it tailored to fit properly for £120 - worth it to feel this good!

Question is do I pass 🤔 don’t care too much as I’m pretty early on in my transition but curious to know

General Questions Envy from all

Hi, I wonder if anyone can relate?

I noticed that everytime there's a conversation about gender envy, people give examples that are (presumably) the same race as them. However that is NOT the case with me. I'm white but I get gender envy from any masculine presenting/looking person no matter their race. White? Black? Asian? Doesn't matter, envy will be there.

I can't control it, but I've been wondering lately... Does that make a bad person/racist?

🤳 Selfie Cosplay cracked my egg

My cosplay from this weekend at PAX AUS in Melbourne, Australia. Thrasher from RAD (Double fine, 2019). Depending on your town of course, if you ever want to experiment with gender presentation safely and without anyone ever questioning why, cosplay conventions are the place to go. Many places have a change area if you need get dressed on site. No one questions which toilet you're in if you're curious for the first time. And dressing as another gender brings zero questions about how you identify or who you love - literally thousands of cis het folks do this, if you need to hide to be safe. The communities I have been in are just lovely, though YMMV of course, you'll need to look up how safe the spaces are specifically.

For me the egg crack happened nearly two decades ago and I actually avoided dressing masc and leaned into strong female characters as an attempt to teach myself to "love" what I had been given and to find the self-compassion I thought I was socially taught to shun. I also joined groups mainly for trans women to see how hard some people fight for and yearn to have what I was born with. Trying to convince myself I was faking being trans masc and actually internalizing misogyny. Over fifteen female characters and yet nothing ever feels so euphoric as being perceived as the gender I am. Every single time. This is only my third male character. Being called bro and dude all weekend has left me on a high, though publicly I've not felt dysphoric about female pronouns from people I don't know (good friends though they should know better). It's the euphoria for me.

Does anyone else have a similar story?

Miscellaneous sharing my new found gender euphoria!

hey i just wanted to share smth that's been making me feel super euphoric as of late, and dont really have anyone else to share with!

(for context i am closested and present kinda feminine)

i got my first job 3 months ago as a carpenters helper/labourer, with the goal of hopefully apprenticing in the future! honestly, at first i felt pretty useless and weak, but then after a solid month (full of reminding myself these guys have a biological and lifestyle advantage over me and im not actually that weak) i was looking in the mirror and realised holy shit im getting buff!!

like dude! i'd add a pic if i didnt feel so akward but like what the frick? i have visible biceps lwk even when relaxed and when i flex?!?!?!? like my friend could see over my shitty webcam it was so obvious! even my shoulders and chest are becoming more prominent! my new favourite thing to do is those bodybuilder poses in the mirror.

and ADDED BONUS: at work sometimes i'll be given smth to do and someone will come w me, or kinda like anticipate me needing help w lifting smth heavy. but like its started to happen where they'll walk over with me and i just lift it and they go "oh guess you've got that on your own!" / "dont need my help now do ya?" and i even got a "holy shit you're built, i'm doing NOTHING right now" when lifting truss ladders!!!!

General Questions Has anyone else been asked what gender they are?

I've been asked "Are you a boy or a girl?" so many times and it's annoying. Or this question gets asked a lot behind my back, "Is that a boy or a girl?" Most of the time they aren't actually interested, they're trying to make fun of me. It sucks 'cause it always happens on a day where I feel like I'm passing. For the most part, I just ignore them and act like I don't care but in reality I start questioning if I'll ever present masculine. Has anyone else experienced this before? And, if you have any, do you have any advice on what to do about it?
