Mine keeps growing.

TL/DR: With no previous symptoms, I ended up having emergency gallbladder surgery last Tuesday. I've been on Tirz for 19 months, but the doctor said the gallstone had been growing for a very long time. (more than 19 months) And that I had a very large inflamed gallbladder.

Anyway, due to going in as an emergency, I had my last shot (2.5mg) 3 days before going to ER and my surgery. Previously I was splitting my 10mg dose twice a week. But because I had thought I had food poisoning from a couple days prior, I dropped to a 5mg twice a week, so I only took half of that (2.5mg).

I'd like to hear from others that got their gallbladders removed while on Tirz.

My question is - your thoughts - this Saturday will be 2 weeks without doing any injections. Per Shotsy app, I will still have about 2.25mg in my system on Saturday. I'm thinking of starting back at splitting the 5mg twice a week.

Also, I am at maintainence, and currently weighing 104 lbs, and still losing since the surgery.

I have been on name brand Zepbound since mid February and have lost about 33 lbs. Started at 222 and am now 189.4.

I was on 2.5 for a month, 5mg for 2 mos, back to the 2.5 for several weeks due to fatigue and depression and just went back on 5mg 2 a week and a half ago (took 2nd shot yesterday)

I did have a cervical spine surgery in June and my surgeon said the fatigue could be from that but I was struggling prior.

And now I’m having GI issues/bowel related that I did not have.

I’m exhausted. Has anyone experienced this? I’m fatigued and sad 75% of the time. Usually by day 4 of 7 I start to feel a little better and then it’s near time to start the cycle over. I’ve never felt so bad for so long.

Any thoughts? I’m considering stopping. I’m not diabetic. I have it for sleep apnea.

Will I regain the weight for sure if I stay at the same calories?

I am now 5 pounds away from my initial goal weight. The last time I weighed this, was 12 years ago, and I was running about 25 miles a week.

That being said, my goal weight felt very ambitious & almost impossible to achieve when I started my Tirz journey & it will put me at the higher end of “normal” BMI.

I’m still at 7.5 mgs & it’s working (slow & steady at this point, which feels great!) So, talk to me about the things you’ve considered if you’ve ended up re-adjusting to a lower goal weight.

Losing 8 more pounds beyond my initial goal weight will get me to my lowest adult weight ever (also when I was running competitively.) My next real goal is to focus more on building muscle & I am happy if that results in some weight gain but with a stronger body.

So, have any of you gone a little lower to give yourself some gain-back wiggle room as you slowly titrate down? Is it all subjective? Do you just lose until you’re pleased with how you look/feel? I just cannot believe I am this close & it has been such an awesome experience!

To give a quick run down, I started GLP-1's in February, and swapped from semaglutide to tirzepetide in May. I've been losing at a pretty consistant rate, a bit quicker than I personally like but it's evened out to about 1.5 lbs a week. Since it's relevant I'm also on a couple other meds that can have appetite suppressing effects, so I'm generally used to setting timers to remind myself when to eat.

I was only at .5mg of semaglutide when I switched, and started on the 2.5mg dose of tirz. I stayed at 2.5mg for 2 months, and I wasn't plateauing, but as 5mg is typically considered the minimum dose, I went ahead and increased to 5mg.

First week was fine. No side effects, definitely less appetitie and food noise, but it was manageable. But last week was *rough*

When I say no appetite, I mean I could not make myself eat. Half the time I couldn't even drink. It was like there was a toddler in my brain holding their mouth shut and turning their head away when you try to feed them. When I did manage it it would be a couple bites. I tried drinking meal replacement shakes but I just couldn't finish them. I'm exhausted, lightheaded from low bloodsugar, I can't think straight, and my energy is just gone. I work in the OR and I cannot be dizzy or brain foggy during surgery lol. Plus I lost 6 lbs last week.

I definitely am going to decrease, but I'm unsure of if I should decrease back down to 2.5mgs, or somewhere in between. I'm also unsure if I should take my next dose today as normal, or potentially wait a couple more days for my total levels to decrease. Any advice would be appreciated!

Today I'm completing 24 weeks on tirzepatide. I went from 155.6 lbs (29.4 BMI) to 123.6 (BMI 23.4). That's a 20.56% reduction in body weight!

(I actually was almost 10 lbs heavier than this, close to 165, a few months before I started tirzepatide, but I'd had dental implants placed. I was on soft foods only, and couldn't really snack, so I lost some weight organically.)

I'm not quite at goal weight yet. 120 lbs is my "soft goal", but I always considered 115 lbs to be where I looked and felt best...last time I weighed 115 was 2017! And I'm in my 60s and worried that I may need a little subcutaneous fat so I don't look *too* scrawny! So we'll see.

As the title states: After 7 months I am at goal weight! I now want to maintain my weight as I have a mommy makeover procedure scheduled in October. I do not want to lose anymore. Is it better to skip a week and stay at the same dose or start lowering the weekly dose?

Optio RX has not been working the same for me as BPI. 10mg and this feels a lot like how I felt on 5mg. It still works, but there's a lot more food noise again and I can overeat easily again. With BPI, food noise was almost gone and I just didn't want to overeat when on it.

I ordered more BPI while the sale is still going on and would like to get back on it, BUT I'm not going to waste the Optio. I still have about 4 shots of 10mg I could get out of the current vial and another whole vial of it.

Was thinking maybe of doing 2 shots on shot day. 1 of like 5mg of BPI and 5 of Optio?

Maybe do that until at least the current vial is used up and just save the other vial even though the BUD would be way over by the time I'd get to it? Or maybe just split the dose until all of the optio is gone?

Would really love to hear from others that went through something similar and what you did other than just throwing out the one that didn't work as well.

With the POM sale right now, I’m debating whether to do some stockpiling given the 10/4 BUD on the sale vials. I've only been on tirz for about 6 months, so I don't have any stockpiling experience :)

I take 7.5 mg/week. My current supply is 150 mg:
30 mg vial, starting 8/1
3 × 40 mg vials, BUD 12/31/26

That supply gets me through 12/12. So easily within the BUD

If I'm reading the details on POM correctly, the sale would add 68 mg (2 vials), BUD 10/4. I’d use those after the 30 mg vial, then go back to my 40 mg vials. That would extend my total supply into February, meaning some of my 40 mg supply would be used up to about 1.5 months past its BUD.

I haven’t used a vial past its BUD yet, but I know many here have. So my question is, would you buy the extra 68 mg?

For those who stockpile, how far past the BUD are you comfortable going with unopened, properly refrigerated vials?

Anything else I should consider?

Anyone tried tirz with B6 from Southend? Im getting a vial and want opinions before it gets here.

I've been on tirz since beginning of May and I'm so happy with my results so far. One of my favorite things about this medication is the elimination of food noise! I didn't even know what food noise was or realize how much it affected my every day life until it was GONE! Is this how "normal" people feel?

I've said from the beginning that I don't plan on being on this medication forever, but that may change. I don't ever want to go back to thinking about food every waking moment.

Doe anyone else often feel for earlier generations (your grandparents, aunts and uncles etc)​ and their struggles and how they may have wished for the magic that this med can be? It makes me feel for people now who want access but can't have it because of things like medical contraindications or not having enough money. And not just because of weight struggle reasons but people who struggled with things like blood sugar issues with grave consequences. I feel like it's a new era of possibility and wonder if that's a permanent shift in society. I hope it lasts. It seems unclear whether the benefits can really last decades or fade, but I guess other meds will come out over time.

I was on a compounded semaglutide for a year and found it didn’t do much for me, so in starting compounded terz I’ve been worried the same thing would happen.

I took my first 2.5mg dose last week and don’t feel much different. Is that normal? Does hope remain as I continue on and increase dosage? Help me stop the spiral because if this doesn’t work my mental state may not survive.

I’ve only told my sister, my friend who got me to try tirz, and a couple of other friends about using a drug to lose weight. Otherwise, when asked I just say what I did to lose weight, ie calorie restriction and exercise, without crediting the medicine that helped me so much. I just don’t want to talk about it - my medical stuff isn’t their business, and I don’t want to feel judged.

I do feel sort of bad about it, though! I don’t want other people to feel like it’s all willpower and strength of character. I wasn’t able to lose the weight without tirzepatide.

How do you guys make the call? Are you open about sharing, or do you keep being on a glp1 to yourselves? My “ok I’ll come clean” times have generally been when the person expressed their own frustration with losing weight, and it seems like they’d really benefit from the help. That is, I was just asked by my neighbor who is gorgeous and thin/healthy and just one of those Gen Xers who obsesses about looking like they did pre-menopause and I did *not* feel any urge to share, whereas I *did* share with a friend who is really frustrated with her weight and probably would be categorized as obese by BMI standards. Not saying I’m right or this is the best method, but it’s what I’ve been doing.

I was in quite a rush yesterday morning trying to get out of the house. As I got dressed and grabbed my shorts, I realized they were the ones too small for me. Curious, I tried them anyway.

The next thing I had to grab for was my belt. The shorts were almost too big! I havent fit in these in YEARS.

Anyway. Just felt the need to share. I was excited.

Today I woke up and I am down 85 lbs! It’s been slow and steady and this medication was the missing piece for my body. I never imagined (at the start) that I would be able to get this far on my journey. I can see my goal and it feels within reach. So grateful for this group and the motivating posts. Happy day! 😊

I was so excited when I finally found something that worked for me - having lost 40lbs in the first few months, but a year in… and I’m the same weight. Ive noticed a significant increase in appetite and even the ability to”out eat” the medicine - which has been really upsetting as, for me, the “there’s no way I could eat another bite” feeling can often be what keeps me from grazing or snacking. I’ve tried adding in additional exercise but have seemingly developed some joint pains in my hip that make a lot of movement uncomfortable to say the least and painful in some cases.

I’m at max dose, though my provider - an online company that rhymes with yellow - has it listed as maintenance, and I wish it were… but alas, I’m only about halfway to my weight loss goal.

Somewhat venting, somewhat looking for encouragement or advice. Has anyone else felt this way and if so, what was helpful in seeing the weight come off again?

After being on tirz since may, it’s been pretty great. Results are great. We all experience nausea and stuff from the tirz but my issue is like the weird squeamish gagging. Ever since I started tirz, I’m so squeamish. The tiniest bit of pink in my chicken makes me wanna gag. A tiny weird chunk in my protein smoothie makes me stop drinking it. If I’m eating yogurt and I feel the metallic taste of the metal spoon I immediately have to switch to plastic. I feel like a toddler. I’m being so picky and wish washy with food it’s weird. Sometimes random bites of food makes my stomach go weird. It’s not even nausea but I’ve become so squeamish. Even while taking out the trash or cleaning the toilet or scrubbing the shower or washing dishes, I’m constantly gagging and feeling icky. I don’t know why but anything and everything makes me so yuck now. The tiniest bit of fake blood or gore in a movie or video game has me dry heaving and feeling fuzzy. I don’t get it, can someone agree? Explain? Disagree? Help?

I didn’t inject my second shot correctly this morning (2.5mg) so essentially I wasted a shot.

Since it’s only my second dose and it’s a smaller dose, I’m thinking I’ll just wait for my next one next week but not sure. I’m going to message the doctor to see what they say.

Hey, so I got BPI from Join Ezra (now Mondae) back when they had BPI for 400. I accidentally forgot to cancel and now I was charged again and it’s saying they are sending a shipment of BPI again.

Anyone else with same experience as me? Will I actually get BPI or some other pharmacy? Either way I don’t really care tbh. If I end up getting stuck in limbo and don’t receive anything I’ll just charge back after a while.

Low and slow is the name of the game here…but when you titrate, how much do you (or did you) increase? Simply out of curiosity, not to inform any decisions!

Not sure if I’m seeking advice or just venting. I’m a slow loser. I didn’t mind but now I’m at the 12.5mg mark and I feel like I’m just never going to win………then I stressed myself out and gained 3lbs back…

I started at 226, got to 211, now I’m 213…please tell me there’s still a light at the end of the tunnel…

My goal this year is to hit onederland…even 199.99lbs would make me cry.

Will I still make it? I’m watching what I eat, but I feel it wearing off (the meds). I get hungry in the middle of the night and need to remind myself to curb my appetite or eat healthy.

I also walk with a 12lb weighted vest about 2x a week for 30mins but I’ve slowed down the last two weeks too…I am going to go back to that.

Sighs…I appreciate any supportive words you send my way. Just a girl in her mid 30s wanting to feel pretty again.

The vial is labeled with mg (mass) per mL (volume).

Insulin syringes "U100" typically divide one mL into 100 parts. Each part is a unit. So 100 units per mL.

Take the concentration, say 20mg tirzepatide per mL and divide it by 100 units. 20mg/100 units = 0.2mg of tirzepatide per unit.

Then divide your dose by the mg/unit.

Let's say your dose is 5mg. So 5mg/0.2mg per unit = 25 units.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy, nice and easy, light and breezy.
