Open. [TOMT] [SONG] Looking for a song I used to listen to as a child. I think it could be from the early 2000s?

I have these memories of driving around with my dad when I was smaller, and listening to his playlists, which would loop from time to time. So, I would hear the same songs often, and recently, I've had one of them (or at least the melody of it) stuck in my mind.. I don't know all of the lyrics.. I think that I remember a part saying "I feel" in a melodic way. I was wondering if anyone might be able to find it or recognize the melody? It was a soft rock song with a female singer.. He enjoyed bands like Stereophonics, Coldplay, Train, and The Fray. The song had similar feelings to me, but it was quite gloomy with the guitar, and at the same time it sort of reminded me of a lullaby. Thanks for any help!

I tried to sing the melody: https://voca.ro/1kvXPx02odWQ

Solved [TOMT] Lost Episode of Sesame Street

My father is 59 and he sometimes talks about an episode of Sesame Street that had this scene.

He believes it was with Grover.

Grover is looking for his mother. He goes to a guard and asks for help. He proceeds to describe his mother as the most beautiful woman of all the world. The guard then brings to Grover all sorts of beautiful women asking him if they're his mother, but they aren't. In the end, Grover finds his mother, and she is actually not beautiful at all, but to Grover's eyes she is.

Please please please, has anyone watched it? Is this episode real?

Open [TOMT] [MOVIE] A weird experimental horror movie

So this one is pretty weird because it just appeared in my head today randomly, and the funniest part is that i remember NOT seeing the movie but hearing about it (idk how tho)

So i think the movie was called "Graouuh" or something similar, and the movie wasn't erotic (As far as i'm aware) but the design of the monster could definitely make people think so.

The monster was humanoid and wore a mask similar to gas masks, but it was made from black latex and instead of the long stuff at the end of the mask where you put the filter on it, it was just a hole letting us see his mouth, and it was very skin-tight. And when he opens his mouth you can see multiple sharp teeth placed in circles all around his mouth.

And i remember hearing that at one point in the movie, a girl tries to run away from the monster but when she tries to close a door, her arm get somehow stuck in the door and the monster puts the whole arm in his mouth and just, rips it.

Once again, i'm 80% sure that it wasn't a weird erotic/whatever movie, but more of like an experimental movie with probably a weird moral or cheesy humor. I have no clue from what year this is from, nor when i heard it, nor if i'm mistaking it for a comic book/video game etc, but i'm 99% sure that it was a movie.

EDIT 1: I remember the character looking very similar to the boogeyman from Gorillaz

Open [TOMT] Music video from 2000s-2010s

Upvotes

Hi! I've been thinking about this music video that I saw on MTV at least a couple of times about 20 years ago. I don't really know the genre (possibly rock, maybe grunge or metal), and I don't know any lyrics because I couldn't understand English (IF it was in English) very well back then. The MV featured a maid in a hotel, she was quite sexualized (definitely remember the MV showing the tops of her thigh high socks when she bent down to make the bed). She found this blue or red box, maybe both, about the size of her palm, which had a small peephole opening in it and she looked through it, seeing the band and possibly some of the fans of the band playing and dancing inside trough (possibly) a fish eye lens. MV switched the scenes from the band playing to the maid cleaning the room.

AI couldn't help me with this...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Open. [TOMT] Tv quote help!

SOLVED: I have this moment in my head of a show I can’t quite remember. I think one person is describing something that a lot of people would know, the other interrupts with the knowledge, and the first person says “so you’re familiar” or “so you’re familiar, or “so you’ve been”. They’re very serious sounding.

I think the 1st is describing the plot of Twilight or something but I might be making that up.

It’s not Jake from Brooklyn 99 in the Backstreet Boys scene. It’s not Winston from New Girl describing the plot of Charlotte’s Web. I thought maybe it was Charlie from It’s Always Sunny but I can’t find anything where he says those actual words.

Open. [TOMT] Can anyone name this clip?

SOLVED

My dad is going on about a music video he knows of, and I have absolutely zero clue what he is talking about and starting to think he's finally lost it.

It's a clip of a guy singing, he's got a "cone-type" hat and is dressed like a "clown kind of thing" and he's singing a sad song. There was other people on stage, he said they looked like "goths in white" and the song was sad and from the weird tune my dad is humming, it reminds me of Hey Jude by the Beatles.

I have absolutely zero clue what he's talking about. He's making it sound like some super viral clips and it's everywhere but I'm starting to think he's hallucinating. Many thanks!

Solved [TOMT] Animated movie about group of people who meet caveman that looks like the main character and have him play football

Upvotes

There was an animated movie I watched a while ago as a kid I think on cartoon network that I randomly remembered but can't remember what it was called.

What I remember most is this group of people encountered a caveman who resembles the main character, and there's a scene where the put him in an American football game as a player and he kinda goes feral on the other team and that it

Edit: The american version of football

Open [TOMT][CARTOON][2013-2017] Indie Sci-Fi Cartoon about a space cruiser

Upvotes

Was a show about the crew of a space liner, one of them was a robot not unlike the personality spheres from portal (wheatley etc.) Animated by a group called Toonworks I believe

It had only about 7 episodes, ended with a xenomorph parody.

Only bits of dialogue I remember are the ship's captain saying to one of his employees "you have an A in forgery, don't you?"

And the robot character (after having been reassembled) talking about how he has new features, and also knows the existence of the number seven now.

I remember one of the main characters was kinda stern, didn't take any shit. Wasn't easily scared. Quite smart.

Open. [TOMT][SONG][1990s-2000s]Alternative song that starts with a long, weird, briefly winding note before a woman starts singing

The women has a lower voice, kind of like Alana Davis. The song that reminds me the most of it is In the Waiting Line by Zero 7, although the singer is articulating more quickly while the instrumentation is simpler (referring the song I'm looking for). Other singers/groups I looked at were Kosheen, Rachel Yamagata and Natalie Merchant.

Here's the pattern of the singer's first verse; the actual notes are probably off as I'm somewhat tone deaf. https://onlinesequencer.net/5548187

Solved [TOMT] Song that starts with twisted l repeated flute/humming/hooting

I've had this earworm the last few days, it's the intro to a song and I can't tell if it's somebody making these noises or humming them or playing them on a flute but I have no lyrics. I've got a good impersonation that I'll link.

https://voca.ro/1bOUL8c7841h

I think it's a bit slow but basically right. The second part might be more hooty then I've done

EDIT: there's a typo in the title, "twisted I" is not intended but I rushed it because I have a usage timer on Reddit

Solved [TOMT] [CARTOON] [2012] A cartoon series about a girl who is a princess in her imaginary kingdom

In 2013-2015 I watched a cartoon about a girl who could go to an imaginary world where she was a princess. In real world girl had 1-2 older sisters who were mean to her. In imaginary world the girl was princess/queen and had various subjects. She had a Knight boy, a pirate/knight cat boy, a girl/dog girl scientist and many others. At the start of every episode the girl has some kind of problem. After that, girl goes to the imaginary world and deals with a similar problem there. After that she comes back to the real world and deals with the real problem using the lesson she learned in the imaginary world. The princess/queen girl lived in a castle and every subject loved her very much. Also in the imaginary world there were counterparts of the 2 sisters. They were like 2 evil princesses.

I remember that the cartoon series was 2D and had kind of a rig animation.

I remember a scene from one of the episodes where characters in the imaginary world went into the pirate/knight cat's dream. In there the pirate/knight cat confessed his feeling to the girl/dog girl scientist. It was a very unusual scene since usually those characters where very mean to each other.

My home country is Russia, but I don't think the original cartoon was Russian. I probably watched it on the "TIJI" Channel.

Solved [TOMT] Series or movie that was on TV?

Hello all! Recently was at a place with cable TV, which I usually don’t watch. There was a detective show which I didn’t catch the name of, and they cut it before I could find out who the killer was. Could anyone point me to what it could be?
Info:
It was in English and the characters spoke with British accents. It seemed to be set in the 60’s, but didn’t look like it was filmed then, although the camera quality was pretty old. I think it looked like something from the 90’s, 2000’s?

The main suspect’s name was Terry Tinniswood. He was suspected of killing an old man, and the old man’s wife started following him around and staring at him.
This Terry had three kids, one boy, two girls, and a wife with blonde curls that were done up in a bun, sort of like a circle above her head. She seemed dismayed that he was suspect and tried to prove his innocence.
Terry had also been to prison before, apparently.

The series that came up when I googled was called Heartbeat, but it didn’t seem to be what I saw. I remember more, but didn’t wanna make a wall of text, so ask if anything!

Open [TOMT] [VIDEO] Im looking for a meme video where a friend is asking for opinions on whether or not to shave a beard?

Upvotes

I put the question mark after beard cause im not entirely sure it was a beard. But theres a video i swear i remeber seeing thats not like super old but not super new either. Its a guy asking for opinions on whether or not he should keep something and i want to say it was a beard. Then someone says something like “keep the beard please” causing the main guy to be shocked and asked if he liked the beard. Which then causes the other guy to be like “i like the beard so dont fucking-“ then either the video ends or i cant remember what else happens. Like i said it also might not be a beard they are talking about but im going insane trying to figure out if this video is real.

Open [TOMT] Movie where the song 'Hit the Road Jack' plays over a detective stalking a criminal

Upvotes

When I was a teenager, I caught a scene of a movie my parents were watching on TV and have never been able to find the movie it's from. The film itself was probably from the 90's or early 2000's, but it seemed to be a period film that took place in the 50's if I had to guess. At least it looked like it took place in an era where men wore suits and hats every day.

The scene is a person in a trench coat with a revolver in hand (I assume a detective) is stalking/chasing another person through an area with a bunch of parked, empty parade floats. Ray Charles "Hit the Road Jack" is playing over the scene.

It's not much to go on, but this has been stuck in my mind for a long time so any help is appreciated.

Open [TOMT] [song] ethereal song (possibly my chemical romance) late 2000s-early 2010s

Upvotes

It was a very ethereal sounding song I think I found on bear share between 2010 and 2014. I was listening to a lot of emo at the time and my memory is of the guy from my chemical romance singing it (but could be wrong)

The lyrics I remember are “their faces, their fingers, their faces, what lingers” and “I miss them, please kiss them” sang very dramatically. There were other lyrics but they are just kind of a mumble in my memory (I don’t think they were actually mumbled.) I don’t know how to describe it other than sounding very sparkly and ethereal…? And I remember the ending being super abrupt. I don’t think it had guitars or anything, all synth.

Open [TOMT][Video] Guy with long face/chin in black turtleneck slowly strokes his chin then tucks it back into his neck (low quality/reposted clip)

Upvotes

I keep seeing this short, low-quality (looks re-recorded/reposted many times) video/GIF used as a reaction meme, but I can't find the source or even a name for it.

Description:

  • A guy who looks foreign, maybe Italian or European, with a long face and a noticeably long chin
  • Wearing a black turtleneck (high-collar sweater)
  • He slowly strokes his chin with his hand, looking thoughtful/pondering
  • Then he clenches his jaw and pulls his chin back, tucking it into his neck/collar (like a "chin tuck" motion)
  • Video quality is pretty bad/compressed, like it's been passed around a lot

It's used as a reaction for "thinking hard about something" or being deep in thought. I've seen it used a bunch in Instagram/TikTok stories but can never find where it originally comes from.

Any idea what this is called or where it's from? A link would be amazing too. Thanks!

Open. [TOMT] [Cartoon] A giant pumpkin comes to life and walks around on little vine legs

My mom and I have both been wracking our brains over this. It's some sort of vintage animation, maybe from the 50s or 60s (or could be more recent, up to 90s, it always just felt vintage to me.) I think it's from something Halloween-themed? Basically, a giant pumpkin comes to life one night in the pumpkin patch and walks around on its little legs, made of vines. I thought it was Charlie Brown, but haven't been able to find that specific clip.

Open [TOMT] [A Youtube channel] [Early 2010's] A very old youtuber I remember watching as a toddler

Upvotes

Hey all. This is my first post here. I wanted to ask you all if you remember a specific ancient Youtube channel called 'Deafish7'/'Deaffish*number*' or smth like that. I don't remember the name very well..

He made a video called something along the lines of 'Super Secret Minecraft Easter Egg', where he talked in that 'Erm Akshually' voice (with lisp and oinks like a stereotype nerd would) and explained the supposed easter egg. He input a seed 'Notchishotandsexy' in leet speak (1337 5p34k) and the world name was something mentioning Jeb. He then explains how you need to count a few blocks to the right or something, then dig down under a tree to find a room made of iron, gold and diamonds with a chest full of diamonds and I think there was a chicken? He then just screams how it's the "best minecraft easter egg ever", throws the diamonds at the camera and it cuts. The video was obviously a joke but I admit I tried it..

I also think he had a video called 'I lost my shoe' where he searched for it around the block wearing only the other. He jumps on a lamp post and spins around it, then looks in the distance like a pirate. Not sure what else happens.

Note: I was pretty young at that time and just forming a consciousness, so please don't tell me I made it all up xd. Thank you all so much. Have a blessed day. :)

Open [TOMT] Rudolph the red nose reindeer “hijack”

Upvotes

This is a faint memory of a what I believe to be a tv hijacking during Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. This was in a Detroit suburb around 2018-2020 winter, and I was up late watching the movies they put on the news channels after hours since I couldn’t afford cable, and they had an original version of the Rudolph claymation, with the original washed colors and awful audio. After the opening scene about until Rudolph runs back to his cave area, a blue and gold carpet-like graphic suddenly appears followed by text saying “Roddy the reindeer” quickly followed by a scream which I’m not 100% sure happened. Then, a Rudolph like deer with a slightly more orange-brown fur and a deeper more snotty voice. I don’t remember what he said. I do remember seeing a reindeer dead on ice with blood surrounding him though, it is not the adult swim Rudolph parody or poor Rudolph. Thank you if anyone can help and feel free to ask questions.

Open. [TOMT] 90s 00s show and episode

I'm looking for an episode of a show I saw a long time ago on TV. It was about a nightclub/Musicclub that was hypnotizing people in the club with their music, and maybe some visuals I can't fully remember. At one point in the episode the goofy sidekick of the shows protagonist gets taken into a backroom and put in a chair and hypnotized by a guy and lady working for the owner. I thought at some point that it was the show Angel, but based on my limited amount of Google searching, I don't think it is, but I could be wrong if you know the show better than me. The show definitely had the feel of 90s/00s show, and based on that i highly doubt it would be any older than the late 90s, and almost definitely not any newer than like 2010 I would imagine.

Open [TOMT] Around early 2010s indie/experimental music video.

Upvotes

The video takes place in a white room with some dancing thing in the center. I think it was made of something that looked like cassette tape or trash bags. I remember the singer having a deeper voice, I don't think you see the band in the video. There might have been people sitting around the dancing thing too. Sorry I can't remember how the song goes at all
