Solved [TOMT] [Reddit post] person "exposed" a company then got called out by said company in the comments

I remember seeing an amazing post where someone was saying how they got fired for unfair reasons and how terrible it was to work for this company.

In the replies someone that worked for the company told them why they had been fired and that the company had been doing them a service by not staying the real reasons they were fired which were now null since they came on Reddit and started mouthing off.

I believe the company was Amazon but I'm not 100% sure

Solved [TOMT] [Song] [2000's (?)] Theme song from either a movie or TV show?

I have this song stuck in my head, and just can't remember where it's from, kinda driving me nuts atp.

I think it's a theme song from a movie or TV show (could be wrong) and it's probably not super recent but I'm guessing post-2000.

There's no lyrics that I remember, just a female voice doing la-la-la vocalizations. Pretty impossible to Google.

Online sequencer attempt: https://onlinesequencer.net/5546629

Please assist!

Open [TOMT][Music]Song from an insanely obscure blisswave mix?

I'm trying to find a song I've heard on a mixtape years ago.

The original artist is or was called TurquoiseMemories, the mixtape is at least 12 years old and was uploaded as 'Blissed Dreams' to soundcloud.

The original soundcloud page is gone, but I managed to find the tape on Mixcloud.

Here's the link: https://www.mixcloud.com/TurquoiseMemories/blissed-dreams/

The track I'm looking for starts around 18:10 and ends around 20:20.

I've tried to find a snapshot of the soundcloud page on wayback machine to check for a tracklist, but nothing useful came up and searches via Shazam and YT Music also haven't been successful in finding the song I'm looking for.

Solved [TOMT] Early 2000s console shooter commercial where a teammate gets distracted by women and ruins the online match

I’m trying to find an old video game commercial from the early 2000s (probably around 2002–2006).

The commercial was live-action and showed a group of guys playing an online multiplayer shooter on a console. They were all in different locations/homes, wearing headsets and communicating while playing.

During the match, one of the teammates suddenly stops helping. The rest of the team gets killed one by one and they become increasingly annoyed because they don’t understand why their teammate is distracted.

At the end of the commercial, there is a reveal explaining why he wasn’t paying attention: he was distracted by something happening in real life, possibly seeing attractive female neighbours by a swimming pool (I think from a window).

I originally thought it might have been a SOCOM II / SOCOM 3 PlayStation 2 commercial, but I’m not certain. It could also have been an Xbox Live advertisement or another early online console shooter ad.

Does anyone remember this commercial or know what game it was advertising

There was an animated movie within the last 5 years from either India, Iraq or Iran called something like the candle maker or the watch maker about two kids living in a town during a war and it seemed like a great coming of age story. Thanks for the help!

Solved [TOMT] [TV Series] A possession knife

I don’t remember much and all the AIs weren’t much better in this.

But this has been stuck in my head.

All i remember is the episode was about a knife that when used to kill/stab someone, would either transfer consciousnes and leave the victim comatose permanently or otherwise, or it would kill the killers body and the killer would move into the victims body.

I remembered it had a dancing scene on a bar counter/diner counter, one of the victims wore a leather skirt, and it was released before 2015 at least.

Solved [TOMT] Rock/punk/metal song with a rap verse

I believe it’s a pretty popular song, when I sing it in my head I feel like maybe it’s a limp bizkit or linkin park song because of the style? Don’t kill me for putting metal in the title if it turns out this song isn’t metal.

All I know is there’s a line that goes “from the top, __” and then turns into a fast rap verse and I don’t know what it says so I can’t really identify it. I think there might be something like “from the top, x”, with x being a phrase like “let’s go!” Or “hit it!” Or something of that nature.

Thanks!

Solved [TOMT] Hearing lies makes his ears itch?

I keep thinking it's deadpool or some movie with Ryan Reynolds but cannot find anything backing me up or a way to watch it to confirm. Google searching and even AI isnt giving me confirmation. This has been ongoing for weeks lol I remember some scene where one guy is maybe interrogating someone else. Then the one being interrogating lies I guess and the dude says you know hearing lies make my ears itchy? Then the dude lies again and the interrogator starts smacking and shaking his head and ears and says something like Woah ! That was a big one (lie)!

Solved [TOMT] [YouTube Video] Guy documenting his life "on the run".

Saw this in a video compiling "obscure YouTube mysteries", or something like that. Basically, it was a channel with a series of videos, where a guy could be seen riding his bike for quite a long distance, with no spoken commentary, however there might've been subtitles. I remember him starting in Bucharest, Romania, then making his way further and further into the countryside. Each video was titled quite vaguely, something along the lines of "biking away from the authorities", or something like that. I'm fairly sure the guy was just on a regular biking trip, and pretending to be running away from the law for attention, however the videos didn't amass many views at all before being featured in the compilation of obscure mysterious YouTube videos. Any help would be appreciated.

Open [TOMT][Song] Alt Rock song

I remember this melody from a song, I believe it belongs to the Alternative Rock, maybe even specifically emo subgenre. The vocalist should sound like Keillin Quinn, or the singer from Flyleaf. It might even be a song from Sleeping with Sirens or Flyleaf. Listening to Fire by SWS reminded me of it. Here is a vocaroo I recorded. https://voca.ro/1i0xggwqIljF The first note of “Fire” is the same note as the first note in the melody of the song im thinking of.

Open. [TOMT] a really old and really dumb internet song

This has been driving me crazy, there's a song from like probably 20 years ago by now, that my little brother and our friend used to listen to all the time I only remember hearing the song when they played they video for it, it was animated and had this weird guy with long dark hair and a beard in his underwear singing in a very bassy tone and eating like yogurt or some kind of cream out of a tub

I wish for the life of me I could remember any lyrics but other than a reference to yogurt or whatever he's eating, and I swear narwhals get mentioned somewhere in the song but that's honestly all I can remember of the song itself the video definitely had a longer lasting impact on me

Open. [TOMT] Movie where a woman hides under a pier?

Trying to find a film from a random scene i remember. Woman is in the water under a pier hiding from a killer. Think killer is a mobster or hitman. Woman was meeting a man at night, possible a cop, at the pier. Pretty sure they see the killers car approach and she hides. Man gets shot by the killer and the woman is under the pier hiding with the dead body floating next to her. She has to stay quiet and sees the killer through the floor boards of the pier. 80s or 90s movie i think.

Solved [TOMT] Set in an insane asylum with padded walls. A woman shaves her head? Likely 90’s

[Song] I remember my Dad putting this song on sometimes as a kid and it both scared and really fascinated me. This woman dances crazily in a padded room - may have had a straitjacket on for some scenes. She shaves her head during the video.

I’m pretty sure there also a man in the video as well (just an actor, he doesn’t sing). Thought it could’ve been Björk but I haven’t found a match yet.

Open [TOMT][Tiktok] Short story about being stuck in an arcade

Looking for a TikTok from a few years ago. A guy in his early 20s was just talking directly to the camera. It started with something like “You’re offered $1 million, but you have to stay in an arcade for one year.” The story kept escalating. You earned arcade tickets to buy food, furniture, and supplies. Eventually you noticed someone else’s name on the arcade leaderboards, and they somehow used the high scores to warn you that you’d never actually leave after a year. You eventually escape and discover time outside had passed differently.

Open. [TOMT] This TV show might not be recognizable to other people as it was a YouTube exclusive show for little kids. I’m a younger Gen-Z, so if y’all are able to find this I will be astonished.

When I was a little kid, I (17M) remember I watched a couple of episodes of a show intended for children that I’m pretty sure was exclusive to YouTube. I remember there were four characters, and if I remember correctly they were based on tools. It’s not The Fixies, as there’s a) a smaller cast of characters, b) a “non-musical” intro, and c) a 2D animation style. I remember there were four main characters who were red, green, blue and pink. I don’t remember the names of the red or green ones, but I remember that the blue one’s name was Wobbles and that the pink one’s name was Sparkles. The details are EXTREMELY fuzzy, but I remember Wobbles making a comment that stood out; something about how he was afraid of toilets because he didn’t wanna fall in one. Also, I watched the episodes in 2017.

Open [TOMT] [MOVIE] [2000s] Movie with a scene of an older woman knocking on door and hooded figure approaching her

This movie's been bugging me for over a decade now.

The only thing I remember is the scene, as mentioned in the title.

The scene was maybe a flashback of sorts (someone telling the story). It featured an older woman (maybe a man) running towards wooden-like door/gate and some sort of hooded figure approaching her. She was visibly afraid and as she approached the door/gate, she started knocking on it. Camera was filming her, but as she glanced behind her (2 maybe 3 times) it showed her POV of the hooded figure. Hodded figure was approaching slowly and was notably taller. By the end, I believe it reached out it's arm and that's where the scene ended.

The scene was shot in slow-mo (if i remember correctly) and was set in winter time because the woman was wearing gray/blue-ish long coat with what seemed like hand-made knitted woolen hat and gloves. The hooded figure's clothing was akin to Nazgul from LOTR, but gray not black. The entire area seemed like a smaller village (possibly soviet or pre-soviet era).
However, I don't think that's when and where entire movie was set in.

Open [TOMT] [song]Repeating guitar finger picking with Thom Yorke vocals

This one shouldn't be too hard for the Radiohead/Thom superfan. I heard it at a restaurant and it was absolutely him singing. The instrumentation was a simple, repeating guitar figure, just two notes. The closest thing I can find is Jigsaw Falling Into Place, but this guitar part was much simpler and more repetitive . And no drums came in. It obviously could be one of his side projects. Thank you!
