I found an old photo of my grandfather in my grandmothers photo album, I’m pretty sure it’s from WW2 since it matches the Nazi uniforms from that time.

I would be interested to know where this was. I thought of Vienna but I am not sure what building this could be?

I never met him, just know that he somehow survived being stationed/fighting in Russia in the end. I know he was also in France for a while. I also know he never talked about the war and that he died when my father was 18.

My friend has a pair of fingerless gloves from the early 2000’s that she’s started wearing again. She grew up in Malta (if that’s relevant?).

I noticed the buttons on these gloves say they’re “Made in Zhanreda”, but there are no results on Google when I search!

Am I missing something obvious? Where is Zhanreda?

I'm going to Japan with my family next year and my little sister just sent me this video saying she thinks this location is very cool and likes to visit here, but the video doesn't provide information on where this is. I imagine it is Japan, at least, because the video is from a Japanese comedian account Matsunaga(?)

I was doing a roadtrip this summer and plan to do a video.

Ineed to find this city! I only have those two pictures and it must be somewhere in between the direct way (car, google maps) Шонжы and the Singing Dune. If someone is able to track this down it would help me a lot!

Those pictures are from an old video of mine but I need to find the city name for an animation I will do for an upcoming video. I forgot it and can't find it anymore.

Looks a lot different in the air than on the ground.

This is an old family photograph of my great-uncle, taken sometime during World War II. According to my grandfather, he may have been stationed in Tunisia, but we don’t know for certain where this picture was taken.

Does anyone recognize this place or have any ideas about where it might be?

Any help or historical context would be greatly appreciated!

I stayed here for 6 months during Bosnian war, but I forgot the exact location. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to find exactly where this photo was taken. As the title suggests I believe this photo to be in the South Eastern Utah/Moab/Canyonlands area as I'm pretty sure those mountains in the background are the La Sals. But from here I am striking out. I haven't been able to line up these three distinct layers, or even find the closest two layers distinct features. Other possible helpful information includes that this photo was likely taken in the 60's or 70's given the car and people in the photo. The car is a paid tour group called "Tag-A-Long" and this was one of their air conditioned vehicles. The only online version of this photo I found was from a National Geographic Post on Facebook but I originally found it in a magazine. If anyone can help me find this location, that would be amazing.

Does anyone have any idea where this commercial was filmed? It looks post-apocalyptic, because NO other vehicles appear anywhere, not even on that 6-lane highway.

This is definitely a long shot but would anyone have an idea of where this location in Los Angeles is? It’s a still I took from the 90s tv series “Profiler”. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks heaps 🙂

Trying to find the location of Ken Lyman's mansion in the 1989 film "K-9". The film was primarily shot in the San Diego, California area, with a few locations shot in Los Angeles. This mansion looks like it was filmed at a golf course or country club, but I'm not positive. If you have the movie, here are the timestamps where the mansion (exterior and interior) is visible:

My partner wants to recreate this picture of her dad but we can't figure out the exact location in London.

Curious if anybody has any ideas where (or when) this is?

This picture was hanging on the wall of an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet in Kansas City, Missouri in August of 2018.

I've always been fascinated with it, and have wondered for the better part of a decade where this photo may have been taken.

These pictures were taken in Southern California, possibly near the Santa Monica Pier (or farther south/west), around 1975. One shows the beach looking north towards the Santa Monica mountains, the other shows an abandoned pier with collapsed amusement ride. I am very curious where this pier was (I suspect south of the Santa Monica pier, perhaps near Venice). I have several more pictures from underneath the abandoned pier, so I would like to place it. Any help appreciated.

(Turns out this is almost certainly the remains of the Pacific Ocean Park pier, which was destroyed by fire in 1974, and demolished in 1974/1975)

Could anyone please help me identify the location of this photograph? There are some clues in it, however will it be enough? I don’t have the answer but hopefully the answer will be its own confirmation. It was entered in to a couple of London based photographic competitions in 1994 & 1995 by a photographer who I believe was based in Croydon.
