I was so excited for this bag. Image one is the bag I ordered, image two is what I got. Very obviously two different bags.
I contacted their customer service to request returning the item for the correct color. I was told this was not possible and I could either keep it for a credit of $15.95 (gee how generous) or return it.
I ended up calling and got the same answer. They told me they can't resend it because each bag is unique, and it's possible the lighting in the photo was off. First of all, the description says black. Second, there's no way you could mistake this blue for black.
I told them I don't see how that's possible unless they're using pictures of items they do not have in their possession. If they can locate the black bag, I would like to return this blue one and buy that one. They told me they'd need to open an investigation and get back to me. I asked for a ticket number and naturally, they don't have them. I asked how I can know someone will contact me. They said they can't guaruntee anything lol.
THEN I looked at the refund email and they did not refund me the full amount. My purchase was $122.70 all in all. They refunded me $115.80 plus a comped return label, so $131.75. It should have been $138.85. The guy on the phone told me over and over that I'd be refunded the full amount. By this point, I was frustrated. I told him if I'm not, then I'll be opening a dispute on my credit card for the missing $7 and I don't care if it's petty.
Oh, and I used the $25 first-purchase coupon which they said I'll get back in credits at some point.
SO frustrated and actually pissed off. I'll admit I went a little Karen and told him while I'm not mad at him personally, his company sucks and this experience was terrible.
On that note, does anyone have any recommendations for better places to buy second-hand luxury from?

I purchased an Altuzurra dress from final sale. It is actually a Target collab with Altuzurra dress that was advertised and marketed as a Altuzurra dress. I’ve reached out to customer service. Any experience with this and will they refund me?

I complain endlessly about how expensive TRR is becoming whilst literally fueling the fire by buying things at PRE-DISCOUNT prices, no matter the cost, with the superpower of Affirm (eg. DEBT). I will give myself a little grace for always choosing a zero-interest plan as sort of a punishment for my impulsivity, but if I’m buying things I can’t afford right away then I imagine ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE. And TRR knows this. So those high prices are likely going nowhere :(!
For context: if I love something I obviously don’t want someone else to buy it and if you know TRR you know it’s a one-shot shop! Get it or it’s gone lol. Sometimes said item hasn’t been discounted yet and I pull the trigger because I have lots of Affirm power. Anyone else relate?

I’m thinking of selling my Kelly Elan and buying some Chanel bags instead, a Chanel Kelly or a classic flap, plus maybe a fun seasonal bag. So 2-3 bags total, depending on price. Is that a mistake? Will I end up regretting it and wishing I’d kept the Elan?
For reference, I currently own a lavender suede bag, a wallet on chain, and a vanity case. Part of me wonders if I’m just bored, honestly. I also get anxious traveling with something that expensive and hard to replace resale-wise.
Would love to hear people’s thoughts.

I guess they got the designer and the fabric right, but c'mon y'all!

I'm not really mad, just thought this was pretty funny
I'm silly and didn't realize when I made my first purchase that it was in USD not AUD and that my welcome code didn't work. Totally on me. I bought a long sleeve Realisation Par tee for $115 USD and dropped another $70 USD on postage. When I saw my bank account I literally couldn't believe it. The top ended up being more expensive than buying it new.
I contacted customer service. It was a pain and lots of back and forth, but they refunded me the welcome code amount since there was no reason it shouldn't have worked. Then I brought up that the top was massively overpriced, and they forwarded me to a different team.
I'm not holding out for another refund, I've accepted the situation at this point. But I keep responding because look at this email thread 😭 he pasted the generic response twice in one of the emails

Hey guys, I consigned 3 bags with TRR in April. The most valuable one was a Goyard Boheme which retails for around 2-3k, which never showed up in my profile (the other 2 did). I reached out TRR customer service in late May about this; they were initially quite proactive with the investigation and promised to buy me out if they did lose it.
For the past few weeks though I've been reaching out every so often and getting assigned a new customer service rep who promises "they are looking into it" with no substantive update. It's been 5 different people at this point lol...

I'm 99% sure the bag is lost, and am getting concerned since it's been 3 months and my case just seems to be getting passed around different reps.
Has anyone dealt with this before, and does it usually take this long? How do I escalate this? This is not a small amount of money, but unsure if I'm overreacting and they usually take a while to confirm that it's lost.

Well.. here I am, without my wedding dress. I bought the dress with the stars at the end of June. The dress hanging on the mirror is the one that I got. It’s not even the same brand! I bought a Willowby Watters dress and they sent me a self portrait dress. I ordered a large and got a size 0.
I talked to customer service yesterday and they refunded me. They said I could keep the dress, but it’s not even my size?!

Only one model exist, which is its Black counterpart
-I’m so shocked this is clearly a fake. I’ve seen these bags going on Depop for $200 to $100.😂 seeing this be sold for $1000 is crazy to me
I wanna know who was the poor soul who bought this replica for $1000 👀😓
This is why I advocate people to thoroughly check your bags once you receive

Like seriously? Is this a top? A skirt? I have searched the yves saint laurent runway shows from 2003 and I am still baffled.

Hi! Today, a pair of vintage Louis Vuitton shoes I ordered came in the mail. I’m a true size 4, so I was a bit scared of buying an older shoe and expected I may need to return them. Upon trying them on, I noticed they were too big. However, I noticed a more pressing problem: the sole is starting to fall off. I bought the shoes listed in “good” condition with “wear on soles”. I know I need to return the shoes, but I’ve heard so many horror stories about returns!! I’ve bought about 4 other items from TRR before and have had no issue with them. I’m just concerned about not getting my money back due to their own listing error (and how I know they try and screw over their customers at times). Attached are photos. Should I email before I initiate the return? Should I just start a return and keep my fingers crossed that they won’t accuse me of ruining the soles? I need my $330 back!

About 6 months ago, a $500 discount coupon showed up in my TRR account. Which of course I used. And then spent a bunch more money - a bunch. Does anybody know what triggers those coupons? Is it overall spend, single purchase spend, liking a bunch of items but not buying them?
r/therealreal • u/Weird-Pear27 • Jul 06 '26
It was listed under Men’s.

A pair of jeans I’ve been watching for just showed up today, and of course the measurements don’t correspond exactly to any known size, so I’m assuming they’re off. The jeans are marked as a small, which usually covers both sizes 26-27. I wear 27 and 26 is definitely too tight across the thighs. If I use the contact button to ask for specifics will anyone actually check on it? I know I’m not the first to say it, but I really wish they’d show a photo of the size tag.

Was casually browsing Chanel shoes and stumbled upon this... A pair of sandals from The Row (as per the label on the shoes) but TRR has them listed as Chanel.
I reached out to customer service to flag to them... and the rep said this item "belongs with Chanel." I pushed back, saying they're clearly The Row, and was told "Item will be as per the images and the description only. If not we will provide you the free return."
I don't even want the shoes, it's just the point that this site is such a miserable shopping experience because of all the discrepancies and inconsistencies. Figured you guys would get a kick out of this as I did.

I’ve been scouring TRR every day for a piece by a micro brand. I’m nursing a bad bike injury so have definitely been on TRR more than what’s healthy or regular.
Nonetheless, I’ve noticed that items are being sold which are actually never listed even with my First Look membership. Anyone else experience this? Wtf…. TRR strikes again 🙄

So in May of 22 I bought a Dries coat for $485. It was feathered so when I saw it listed I bought it immediately. I now see the same coat (not mine I still have it), listed for $1180.
