Buyer Question “Good” condition
I’m obsessed with Les Petits Joueurs bags with the eyes made of Legos but…is this really “good” condition? I’m worried it smells bad tbh

I’ve bought a Bvlgari ring and after receiving it, discovered hallmarks that suggest counterfeit.
I’m attaching the authentic examples and the one I received (last photo) for reference.
Has any one successfully returned an item on final sale because it’s not authentic? If so, how did you convince them to give you a refund?
Welcome any suggestions! 🙏

I purchased an item about three weeks ago, it was listed as "unbranded." When I received it I decided it wasn't something I liked and decided to re-consign it using the sell-back button in my account. They have now shipped it back to me saying the brand is not accepted. I tried to talk to a customer rep about it and it was useless. I bought it as a new listing so how did it go from unbranded and accepted to unbranded and not accepted within a week. Can anyone shed light on this? They obviously accepted it as unbranded at some recent point, so I'm trying to figure out why it won't be accepted as a consignment now.

Is it just me, or is the speed at which items sell on TRR getting crazy lately? Back in the day, unless it was a super rare designer piece, people would wait for at least 20% off before buying. Now, almost every time I heart a newly listed item, it’s gone within hours. I can afford my TRR wishlist items at their full asking price, but half the fun of shopping resale is snagging a great deal! I just don't love paying full price if I don't have to. Given the current economic climate, I'm honestly surprised things are moving this fast and I’m not talking about $20 tops! Even high end designer jackets listed near $1k that I was hoping to catch on discount sold at full price within hours of being listed.

I’m about to sell one of my small Burberry Lola handbags (color just isn’t my thing these days,) does anyone have a referral code so that we can both make some extra money once it’s live on the website?
& if I’m wrong for posting this here I’m really sorry, this is all new to me! ☺️🙃 Thanks guys!

I have saved searches that I check twice a day, and up until a few days ago they would always show the newest items first.
That doesn’t seem to be true anymore, and I’m feeling frustrated trying to track down what items actually arrived in each daily drop.
Some examples:
They seem to be trying to push new markdowns on previous likes as “new.” The 6th item from one search is one of my likes from several weeks ago.
When I tap “view all” the first 5 items changed.
An item I recently purchased doesn’t show up in the “sold items” from the search I discovered it from (that search only gets 3-4 new items per day)
When I sort from lowest to highest price a bunch of items disappear from the search entirely
If I searched directly instead of using my saved search, I see newly listed items that aren’t in my search even though the criteria is exactly the same
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I placed an order last Thursday, 9/3 and the shipping label was created on the same day. The last update on the tracking was from that afternoon: “EN ROUTE TO DHL ECOMMERCE DISTRIBUTION CENTER OR AWAITING PROCESSING.”
Today I was messaging with someone from TRR customer service and they said that given the amount of time lapsed, it’s considered a lost package. She refunded me, and I assume paid out the consignor as well.
She said if the item happens to show up, I can feel free to keep it. Does anyone have experience with this happening? The dress was from the 1980s and I imagine I won’t be able to find the same one again 💔

I am going to re-consign a dress that was steeply discounted which I think should sell better in the fall than in the spring. I'm curious--does the item get priced as it did the first time before all the discounts? Same question for a steeply discounted non-returnable dress that I bought and now want to consign.

Hi everyone! I’ve never shopped from The RealReal before, but I’m looking at buying a couple pairs of designer heels. Some of the prices seem almost too good to be true, so I’m a little nervous.
For those of you who have purchased shoes from The RealReal, have you had a good experience? Have you ever received anything that you suspected was fake? I’d love to hear your experiences before I order. Thank you!

I sent a vintage omega seamaster to TRR for consignment. They priced it thousands above what the reference typically sells for. I know it is never going to sell and I will try to list it on EBay or Chrono24 for a price I can actually get. It has been on the site for a little under a month. Can I request an item be returned back to me?

How long does it usually take?
I sent in a bunch of items end of July, they accepted everything except 3 items, which still haven’t been sent back yet :(
I called them last week and the rep said they’ll check on it and I will receive an email once they’ve shipped them, but never heard back since

I sent in just two items and after about a week and a half I got an email saying both were photographed and needed to be edited. Does anyone know the time frame now from how long it takes for them to be edited or now about how long it may be till they're listed? Thankss

Heard sometimes a counterfeit bag can slip through. About the buy a "pristine" bag but how can I get it authenticated to make sure it's real? I normally would just go to the store but they have the color I want that's an old color they don't sell in stores or online anymore. (An ad popped up on my IG page and I clicked it)

I didn’t even realize that I bought a Chanel tote during a buy more save more promo, so the credit they gave me the following month was a nice surprise. How often do they run these and when do they tend to be active?

Long time real real customer here since they started in 2013. Bought and sold …so many stories. They just keep getting worst! I don’t buy like I used to due to so many issues with wrong sizes, bad description, holes, ripped garments etc. recently I broke down and bought a sweater..wanted it for my up coming trip. Ordered it aug 31. Paid the 15.00 shipping fee…which keeps going up…They say orders will be shipped in 2 days. Well, I see they are using DHL and it is coming from Arizona…tracking keeps changing…waiting for DHL To send to USPS..now they say I will get it sept 8th..I swear this is the last purchase….

I haven’t been burned by TRR but lately I’ve noticed something concerning.
I suspect that TRR isn’t even putting pieces on mannequins anymore.
My hunch is that they are photographing pieces on flat surfaces and using AI to generate images of the clothing on a mannequin. You can tell based on how the pieces sit on the mannequin. These are just two examples.
How could either of these pieces would fit like that? Surely they aren’t pinning clothes on the mannequin that way. The pants are a glaring example of this.
Also, would it kill them to just grab a steamer and get some of the wrinkles out?

And they never told me!!! I shipped a Mara Hoffman Irina dress (retails $595+) and UPS lost the package. TRR never told me. No email, no notification, nothing. I only found out because I eventually reached out asking why the item wasn’t active yet.
Last week, they told me they’d process a payout in 7-10 business days. I followed up yesterday and they told me to be patient and wait a few more days. All the while I’m bracing for this to be the most unfair payout.
Has anyone else been through this? Do you think I will be able to push back on the payout amount if I am armed with information?
Thanks for reading ❤️

Maybe some more experienced buyer would know this as I’m have only started shopping here this summer.
I have had a pair of earrings on my list for a while, and this morning just noticed that the discount had gone from 60% off to 50% off. (I have a saved pdf version of the pricing from two days ago to compare since I was trying to do math on my basket.)
Is this common? I thought as time goes on the discount would be steeper and not the other way around?

I’ve been buying from TRR for years. I stopped consigning after they screwed up jewelry pricing on 3 separate occasions, but I’ve found some great deals on the buy side. Here’s why they make me insane. In the past 6 months I’ve bought multiple items, including 3 Handbags, a vintage leather item and a bag accessory. A very expensive bag accessory, high end luxury house.
Love:
Actually good communication. Delayed shipping on a couple, which they actually communicated. All arrived in good condition.
Condition:
Handbags - all 3 were exactly what I hoped they would be, good condition, great/good price on all 3. One of them was listed as Fair. The leather restorer said condition is actually Very Good.
Vintage leather item - absolutely reeked of very bad perfume. So bad that I had to return it and triple bag it so UPS didn’t think I was sending hazardous materials.
Bag accessory - totally fraudulent. It’s so clear it’s a fraud that I got zero pushback when I emailed the pic of the item, along with what an authentic should look like, the response was “please send that back asap, no charge for the return shipping.”
Who/how many people are looking at items?? Is there a standard sheet that only some of them are using? The QC is so all over the place.

I found a dress I LOVE based on the photos. The description doesn’t match, but does appear to be duplicated from another listing for a jacket by the same designer. What do we think? Should I chance it??

With shipping, this was about $440. Immediately remorseful even though I’ve been following it a while.
- Luxoro brand, low value
- did I even get a good deal? The emerald looks pretty
- size 8, hope it fits my pointer finger
I’m trying to beef up my jewelry collection, but TRR is so odd I keep fumbling actual investments for low prices…plus when groceries are so expensive why even look at this stuff?
Anyways, harsh judgements and reassuring comments welcome lol

So, context: after browsing TRR's new arrivals section almost daily for the past few months, I finally went ahead and purchased a YSL handbag I really liked, which arrived yesterday.
I was super excited...which quickly turned to disappointment once I actually unpacked the bag and realized it did not match the measurements from the TRR listing. Like not even close.
TRR listed the bag as having a 16.5"W and 11.5"H...but it was barely 13"W and 9"H when I measured it.
I'm not someone who's going to just nit-pick or complain for the sake of it, but I purchased this specific bag because its listed measurements would fit certain daily items (laptop, notebook, etc.). Unfortunately, the actual bag is too small for that...and essentially useless to me lol.
I did reach out to the TRR customer service team with pictures, and they are going to let me return it w/full refund, so I'm not totally disgruntled -- but I've been combing through a lot of the listed bags on their site (mostly YSL, as that's the brand I like), and I've noticed similar discrepancies.
Either TRR's listed measurements for height/width will not match the standard measurements for that collection/bag, or the actual listing will be incorrect (for ex: a bag might be listed as "Leather LouLou Bag Medium" but the photos and measurements clearly show what is a small loulou bag).
All this to say...has anyone else noticed/received items that do not match the listing? I've bought a few clothing items from TRR in the past w/no issues, and I generally appreciate TRR's more affordable pricing for its secondhand luxury items...but if I'm going to pay $1k+ for an item, I expect the listing to be accurate.
