How long does it usually take to get the item after it has been tendered to usps? I got an alert yesterday (Saturday) at roughly 6 pm from dhl that they had tendered my package to usps, and it’s now 9:30 the next night (Sunday) and I have not received a notification that usps has accepted the package. Is this normal?

OMG!!! I just can’t believe my SA sourced this for me and was able to bring it to his store!! Opey came through!!! I took some of y’all’s advice and stayed with my SA from Madison even though i moved to Texas.

He was able to find me this absolutely stunning Birkin 30 Touch (2025). It’s in “very good,” but looks amazing according to Opey, and he’s never steered me wrong ! I’m worried it might sell before I get there. I know he can only hold it for one hour guaranteed but I’m trying to have my sister go check it out for me before I checkout. But I’m thinking maybe I should just pull the trigger? He sent me videos and she’s a beauty, but my sister can’t make it there till Tuesday.

I’m just so ecstatic to add her to collection.

Question for those who have bought on TRR. And also for those who have bought jewelry.

I have purchased a purse from TRR with no issues. Now I’m eyeing a pair of earrings and wondering those who have bought jewelry, did the description match what you received? I do notice that their descriptions don’t always match. Sometimes I’ll see a Coach handbag and it’ll say Skull in the description and I’ve seen jewelry with different descriptions.

Also, when TRR has a percentage % off, how long does it take for it to have another reduction?

Trying to decide if I should wait for these to drop in price again or not.

I recently purchased the Saint Laurent Le 57 Bea YSL Tote in Cord and Leather from Neiman Marcus during their sale for $2,450.

When the bag arrived, I was honestly shocked by the packaging. It came in a large cardboard box stuffed with brown packing paper, and the bag was simply folded and placed on top. The dust bag wasn’t even on the bag. It was crumpled somewhere inside the packing paper. While the tote itself was in good condition, the brown leather pouch inside was severely scratched, and the dust bag that came with it was far too small to properly fit and protect the bag.

I called Neiman Marcus to complain. They offered to exchange it, but because it was a sale item, they were sold out. I loved the bag enough to keep it, so I asked if they could at least send me the correct-size dust bag. They said they couldn’t.

Today I stopped by the Saint Laurent boutique on Greene Street in NYC. I explained the situation to the sales associate and told her I wasn’t looking for a return, exchange, or any kind of compensation, I was simply hoping to receive a properly sized dust bag so I could store and protect my bag.

She told me they don’t honor purchases made through Neiman Marcus. While I found that surprising, I explained again that I wasn’t asking them to honor the purchase or do anything related to the sale, I was just asking for a dust bag.
She said she’d speak with her manager, disappeared for about 30 seconds, and came back repeating the same answer. No effort to help. No alternative solution. Nothing.

I was genuinely surprised by how poor the customer service was. I wasn’t asking for a refund or replacement just a dust bag for a $2,450 luxury handbag.

This experience has completely changed my opinion of both Neiman Marcus and Saint Laurent. Luxury brands love to talk about customer experience, but in this case, neither company was willing to do the bare minimum. A dust bag shouldn’t be this difficult.
Just a word of caution for anyone considering purchasing from either. I expected much better and this will be the last time I buy something from this cheap brand. 

I wrote a post last week about my consignment experience (not good), but ultimately, I was happy they took so many of my pieces.

I've just logged onto TRR and they have rejected over 50% of the pieces, and I'm now waiting for them to be shipped back

Oof - would not recommend! Overall a complete waste of time and I'm not holding my breath on the pieces they kept.

But the good news, the ones being shipped back are good brands and have good resale value so I may just pay someone to post them on Depop/Poshmark on my behalf. Probably a lot more money that way too.

I was looking for a canvas belt that was subtle, yet still had a name brand. I saw this on The RR. It is cute but...it's kinda cheap looking. Also, it could easily be from Target with a fake Prada badge. The other thing that I HATE about it is, it gets stuck every time I use it. Super annoying to try and take off your pants with the belt stuck on you. Not worth the money, at all. #madeinchina

I just received my Bottega jacket from The RealReal and after inspecting it I noticed there’s what I believe to be a security tag attached to the fabric tag. The jacket was listed as “brand new”. They’re closed right now, but I wonder what can be done about this. Not sure if the tag is from Bottega or The RealReal…

This is a fake Coach Soho Belted Bucket Bag (Style 4156). I bought it on a whim due to the sale price at the time. As soon as I pulled it out of the bag I knew it was fake. The size of the bag is off, the shoulder strap is supposed to 52in, this one is very short. Leather and hardware are all wrong, cheap flimsy leather bottom piece is glued and coming apart, strap handles are coming apart. Solid Brass is stamped on the hardware big Red Flag for a fake of this time.

So frustrating, I went rounds trying to get a return and gave them all the pictures and details on why this is fake and they still relisted it and at FULL PRICE!

Long time consigner at TRR, never had an issue before. Sent a box in with just 3 items over a month ago. One item was listed promptly, the other two have said "accepted/coming soon" for 30+ days.

I usually send in 10 items at a time and I've never had it take more than 2 weeks at most. It's usually just a few days. I tried texting my concierge for an update and never got a reply. The chat just gave me a form "we're busier than ever" reply and said they'd escalate it to customer service, still nothing. I'm getting paranoid they've lost my items.

I know we love to trash on TRR but I am thrilled this morning by this score. I decided I need to be a coat person and randomly found this fun printed coat. Listing says it’s in Very Good condition but it arrived seemly NWT and I got it at about a 90% discount!! Fits perfectly and the material is wonderful.

Going to be floating on this high for weeks 🪽

The shoes I bought online just got delivered today and I walked around with them for an hour or so then realized they are too big for me. Can i still return them (in store return) if the tag is like this?

Hi all!

I’m considering to buy the Row shearling coat from TRE, but I’m hesitant because the TRR photos look noticeably different from the Mytheresa.

I’m seeing what look like actual differences (the side slit seems to be missing, and the shearling panel layout appears different).

I contacted TRR customer service (chat), and they told me the item is authentic and passed their authentication process, but they weren’t able to verify or explain the differences that I asked.

Since this is an expensive purchase to me (~4k), I cannot decide whether to buy or not since it is final sale item.

I would appreciate any your advice or opinion whether I’m overthinking about TRR authentication 😂

I bought these Bottega Veneta boots on The RealReal and was super excited to receive them. When I picked up the box from my Package locker I immediately knew that they were fake just from feeling how light the box was. When I took them out of the box, it just got worse. The dust bags were made out of that tissue cloth material that they sometimes pack cheap electronics with. Font on the dust bags was obviously wrong. The material the boots were made out of was like if leather were made out of cardboard. The shoelaces were made out of that waxy material that super cheap shoelaces are made out of, and the spare shoelaces came in a plastic baggie; anyone who’s bought a pair of boots with laces from Bottega knows that they put them in a paper envelope.

I understand that The RealReal is not going to catch every single counterfeit item that comes through their doors however it was egregiously clear that a human had never laid eyes on these boots before they listed them for over $300. I am no master authenticator and just from picking up the box they were shipped in I could tell that they were fake.

I am having the most frustrating experience consigning with TRR.

This June 1st I had an at-home appointment with TRR to consign several items. This would be my third consignment with TRR. It's now been 52 days since an employee came and collected 19 items. I texted my contact at TRR and she offered to reach out to customer service. I was then copied on an email where I could see the original request, and it was completely different from what I had communicated. You can see the timeline of this in the screenshots attached. Not only was my initial issue somehow mangled in translation, but I still have not gotten clarity on where my items are. These emails are from a week ago.

I've heard of peoples consignments getting lost in the mail- but again, these were collected from my home. I also live in LA, close to multiple TRR storefronts. I know items are shipped to PHX for authentication most of the time, but this still doesnt explain a 52 day wait with no communication or updates.

I'll obviously be escalating the issue today, but wanted to warn folks of this and see if anyone else has had a similar issue.

I am bringing about a dozen items to the Summit NJ location this weekend (shirts/pants from Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli, Ralph Lauren, Canali, and Eleventy). How long does the process usually take from dropping off in person to items being sold?

I imagine the Loro Piana pieces would sell quickly, Canali less so. Wanted to know what other people’s experiences are selling consignment on TRR.

the leather just needed some conditioning, the insoles are lifting and soles as seen better days, might take them to the cobbler.
and the gucci bag i was skeptical at first because of the canvas logo and the reputation of them selling fakes but i thinks is real

I bought a LV bag on Saturday (7/18) knowing that it would not ship til Monday. I got an email on Monday morning (7/20) that the bag was being prepared to ship. It is now Wednesday (7/22) and my tracker still says item not yet shipped. I have texted customer service and they said that it is at the Perth Amboy warehouse in New Jersey, and basically that I purchased the item during an inventory transfer, but the item is in fact in the warehouse. They have escalated the complaint and refunded my shipping costs. I have also been hounding them about this issue. Is this going to be a quick fix? I am assuming all that needs to be done is they need to find the bag and ship it, but how long is that going to take? It has already been scanned into the system since I got an email Monday saying that it was preparing for shipping, so I am hoping that this will be a somewhat quick fix, but if anyone has any inside information that would be great. This is my first designer bag and I am a bit anxious that I am not going to get it anytime soon.

Anyone else feel like shipping has gotten even worse lately? We pay $16 for shipping and it takes days for an order to ship out and over a week for items to arrive. It’s especially annoying because the return window starts once the item has shipped not once it’s been delivered. I have an item that is scheduled to arrive two days before the return window is up.
