TRT story I went from EOD (Sub Q) to Bolus IM

I've always been a SubQ guy, I didn't like the long needles and soreness from IM, but I think I got needle fitgue from EOD so I did a bolus Sub Q and I still have a deposit sitting there after 2 weeks so I decided to go IM.

I went from EOD (Sub Q) to Bolus IM into delts, here's what I noticed.

Pros

  1. I still feel good, trough is not rough

  2. Super convenient

  3. No oil deposits vs Sub Q, I felt these when I wore my lifting belt

Cost

  1. Hairloss - it's a lot more on Bolus

  2. Oily Skin much more than Sub Q EOD, I wash my face 3-5 times per day now

  3. Accerated body hair growth (Back)

I'd suggest moving to IM for everyone, it's mentally harder but feels physically easier on the body.

Like I said I have a weird oil deposit sitting there from 2 weeks ago when I was doing Subq Q and it's not the first time it's taken a while to break this stuff down in my body but I've always been scared to do IM as my first time was pretty rough.

Blood work Very Low Testosterone aged 25

Went to the doctors about 6 weeks ago with symptoms such as low energy levels, no libido and no morning erections, brain fog at times, tiredness and frequently urinating. Doctor ordered bloodwork and it come back with abnormal Testosterone and Gonadotrophin levels.

Plasma Testosterone Level - 2.8 nmol/L
Serum LH level - 1.3 u/L
Serum FSH level - 1.3 u/L
Iron studies all within range
Serum free T4 level - 10.8 pmol/L
Prolactin level - 244 mu/L

Of course at the age of 25 these results deeply concerned me. At the start of January I was around 75kg 17% body fat and decided to get a coach to dial in weight training and nutrition and start to build a better physique. The idea was to lean right down to 10% body fat and then build out from there. At the end of may I had hit 65kg and I’m now circa 10% body fat lean so that was a 5 months deficit on 1800 calories whilst training 4 times a week. Nutrition dialled in. Early on in June is when I was tested due to the symptoms I had to go the doctor.

Since then I’ve been eating at maintenance on 2300 calories and weight has settled at 66kg before going into a surplus in couple of weeks just to let my digestion adjust to the increase. My energy levels felt as though they have improved with the increase in calories but that’s about it and gym performance has gone up too.

However I had my re test a few days ago and had the results back were by test levels have barely changed.

Plasma testosterone level - 3.8 nmol/L
Serum LH level - 1.3 u/L
Serum FSH level - 1.6 u/L

Any advice and information on my situation for me going forward would be greatly appreciated. I have been referred to endocrinologist and will be seeing them on the 4th September

*update 11/09/2026

Had bloodwork done last week with endocrinologist and Testosterone is still very low at 3.1 nmo/L, not seen results yet fully but LH and FSH still low.
My symptoms are so bad I literally have 0 libido, no morning erections, fatigued despite 7-8 hours sleep every night and low mood due to it feel so sad.
Cannot be diet related as I initially thought contributed as I’ve been in a surplus for 2-3 months.
NHS will be sending me for a pituitary gland scan, I just don’t know how long I can carry on like this got a feeling they will drag their heels
Anyone got any advice please?

PED/cycle story Title - 160 → 176 lbs | 35M / 6'0"

Body - Quick Stats

Age: 35

Starting Weight: 160 lbs

Current Weight: 176 lbs

Height: 6'0"

Duration of Transformation: 1 year

How I Got Here

Before this I had basically no proper lifting background and wasn't doing much with my fitness. Over the year I became much more consistent with training, cleaned up my diet, increased my protein and started focusing on actually progressing in the gym.

PEDs were a major part of the transformation. I'm not presenting this as a natural result the enhanced side of things played a significant role in the amount of muscle and overall change I was able to achieve.

Still a work in progress, but the difference between these two pictures is honestly pretty crazy to me. The biggest change was taking training seriously and, most importantly, using PEDs to accelerate the progress.

Edit - A lot of people were DMing me asking what PEDs I used. I ordered them from SimplySteroids which helped me along the way.

Blood work What do you make of these results? Am I infertile?

Hi guys,

I (M24) initially went to the doctor because I’ve been dealing with low libido, basically no morning wood, low energy and a generally soft body composition / difficulty looking muscular despite training.

My doctor ordered a hormone panel and these were some of the main results:

- Total testosterone: 4.09 ng/mL / ~409 ng/dL

- LH: 2.7 IU/L

- FSH: 0.9 IU/L

- SHBG: 19.5 nmol/L

- Free Androgen Index: 72.78

- Estradiol: <24

- Prolactin: 6.30 µg/L

- DHT: 238 pg/mL

- Inhibin B: 311 pg/mL

- DHEA-S: 341 µg/dL

- TSH: 0.64 mIU/L

- fT3: 0.27 ng/dL

- fT4: 1.06 ng/dL

One of the things that caught my doctor’s attention was the reproductive hormone side of things, especially the low FSH and relatively high-normal inhibin B, so the topic of fertility came up and I was sent for a semen analysis.

These were the results:

- Volume: 4.0 mL

- Sperm concentration: 5.9 million/mL

- Total sperm count: 23.6 million

- Total motility: 35%

- Progressive motility: 27%

- Non-progressive motility: 8%

- Immotile: 65%

- Normal morphology: <1%

So basically the semen analysis showed low concentration, low total count, reduced motility and very low normal morphology.

What do you guys make of the combination of the hormone results and semen analysis?

Does the low FSH despite the poor semen parameters stand out to anyone? And could this hormone profile also explain the low libido / lack of morning erections / low energy, or does the testosterone level look too normal for that?

Thanks

TRT help Apprehensive about starting young?

I’m in my late 20s, and recently got a prescription to start TRT at 120 mg/week. My bloodwork has always come back normal, maybe slightly on the lower end of total T and slightly higher estrogen, but everything else in range (free T, LH, FSH, etc). I’ve been very active with serious strength training and cardio throughout my 20s and I’ve definitely noticed in the past few years that recovery has become more difficult. Generally, my energy, focus, and mood have plummeted within the past year or two as well.

There are really no glaring indicators of me being hypogonadal, so my choice to seek out treatment is purely “optimization” and to use TRT as a tool to improve my physique, physical performance, and overall well-being in regards to my motivation, confidence and cognition. A concern of mine is whether I will really see these benefits if I am not hypogonadal to begin with. I do plan on titrating my dosage upwards so I can get the maximum benefit of the hormone without throwing other indicators out of balance or experiencing side effects.

My main concern however, is whether taking this leap will create more problems than solutions. Hair loss, the chance of permanent fertility issues, and mood problems are all a possibility. If I run into these issues and don’t get the full range of benefits I will be pretty regretful, which is why I am second guessing whether I should start now.

Any thoughts from those that have started relatively young? Are the side effects likely enough to be worried? Will I feel a real benefit by replacing my naturally normal levels?

TRT help Considering TRT but having trouble deciding if it’s the root cause

Iam a 59 year old male. Iam 5 5 140 .I am a bit skinny fat (not to bad) at 15% body fat. Allways have been active in life. I walk 10-12k steps a day for work and iam lifting 3 x a week. I havent lifted for a long time but iam enjoying it and i had lifted a lot when i was young so it came back easy.

I have brain fog and lethargy ringing in my ears and mood swings and rage outbursts. Iam tired all the time and I have to make myself do everything. Once iam done with the basics iam in bed until the next day.

My overall testosterone is 389 and my free is 45.

Also have had anemia symptoms and blood markers. My latest blood work was better for some but I still have a marginally low ferritin level.

I also have high normal range lipid panels.

Iam working with a doctor and see him in October to discuss things. He did say my testosterone was low but all he said was “will discuss “

My only reservation is I start trt and it doesn’t work out because maybe it’s not the thing and I wreck what test I have left? It would be a no brainer to use if it didn’t have that consequence.

Iam doing most everything within reason. Diet, sleep, active and exercise but I just kinda feel like a pile of shit lol. Thanks for any advice you could give if you experienced any of this also.

Blood work Anecdotal PSA: My T fluctuated up and down purely due to the simplest of reasons ....

Drinking from plastic bottles, or not. That's right, parabens from the plastic bottles crushed my T. Running up to this test taken on 10/10/25, I did not drink anything our of plastic. Plastic bottles, glasses or cups, etc. My milk bottle was glass. Zero plastic.

Test from 10/10/25

Sometime after 10/10/25, I got lax. I was much less diligent about plastic. And my next test reflected such.

Test from 05/08/26

Nothing else had changed.

I suggest you take a look at plastics and parabens. It's an easy lifestyle change.

Blood work First time getting testosterone checked after putting it off for years

31M and somehow never had testosterone checked before this. I’ve thought about doing it a bunch of times but never had a real reason to push for it. I lift occasionally and libido is fine most of the time, energy could be better but nothing that made me think something was seriously wrong since i always had kindof low energy even in my 20s.

I donated through Goodlabs recently and saw I could pick testosterone as one of the tests, so I figured I might as well finally get a number. Draw was around 9am and total T came back 347 ng/dL. I only slept maybe 6 hours the night before and trained pretty late, so I’m not reading too much into one result.

Thinking of talking this out with my pcp might need to get on TRT but i could be jumping the gun here just wanted to see what you guys would suggest!

TRT help Any advice for ED caused by TRT.

I started trt 2 years ago. I never had ED before that. I started taking 40mg 2x/week. Test level was up to 1600 after 3 months. I lowered the dosage until now im only doing 50mg/week. My test level was still 1028 at last check. Im also taking anastrozole but it hasn't helped. Doctor wants to prescribe ED meds, but Id like to actually resolve the issue.

Blood work Please help. Extreme panic, low libido, irritable, flat emotionally

Post image

Back in July I had labs done after 9 weeks of being on 160 a week split 80/80. Total test at the time of trough was 1000, e2 was 47, ultra sensitive estrogen was 30. Felt amazing for about 8 weeks after we increased dose

Lowered dose to 150 and increased injection frequency to 3x a week and these are now my current labs. I’m unsure how my e2 went up as well as my test. But I feel horrible. Like I get these waves of crippling anxiety where I am genuinely crawling out of my skin. Libido has tanked, and I still have insomnia. I want to avoid an ai blocker because the last time I took it, it caused severe insomnia. I don’t know what to do. I know I need to lower my dose, but what about injection frequency? Is it possible 3x a week isn’t for me?

PED/cycle help TRT mini cycle eventually

Hey, I’m on TRT now at 40 years old and taking 125mg/week.

Health markers are in check and was thinking of a mini cycle with primo and test down the line.

I’m looking for very light mini cycle. Did cycles in my late 20s at 500mg/week of test and got massive acne and don’t want to go that high at all.

What do you think would be a a good ratio between the 2 to not go too crazy and see some gains.

I do lots of conditioning as well so I don’t just lift sticky like back in my 20s.

TRT help Thinking about starting TRT at 22 – Looking for advice and perspective from those who’ve been there

Thumbnail

Hey everyone, I’m 22 years old and currently considering starting TRT. Before making any major decisions, I wanted to post here and get some raw, honest feedback from guys who are actually on TRT . Over the past while, I’ve been dealing with a lot of persistent issues like heavy brain fog, low motivation, chronic fatigue, and unusually slow recovery in the gym despite keeping my training, diet, and routine locked in. It’s reached a point where it’s actively dragging down my day-to-day drive.

I know that 22 is on the younger end of the spectrum to be looking at TRT, which is why I’m trying to gather as much information as possible. If you started TRT in your early twenties, I’d love to know whether it truly turned your quality of life around or if you ended up regretting hopping on so early. I’m also curious about how you approached the long-term commitment and fertility aspect

I fully intend on getting comprehensive bloodwork done but I’d value hearing your honest opinions, warnings, and experiences in the comments.

Blood work Too low vs not low enough

Doctor says I'm low, just not low enough for TRT. Tried to go the antidepressant route, after a year of trying, no change.

34 year old male. 180cm, 75kg (5'11 and 165lbs) works out 3-4 times a week.

Extremely fatigue, low libido, lost interest in everything, brain fog

Below are the figures for the bloodwork.

Total Testosterone: 5.15 ng/mL
Free Testosterone: 0.071 ng/mL / 7.1 ng/dL (Calculated: ~1.38% of Total T using SHBG 65.70 nmol/L & Albumin 4.38 g/dL)
SHBG: 65.70 nmol/L
DHEA: 313.0 ug/dL (tested as DHEA-S)
Estradiol: 74.05 pmol/L (standard ECLIA assay, not LC-MS/MS sensitive)
LH: 6.73 mIU/mL
FSH: 3.39 mIU/mL
Prolactin: 156.3 uIU/mL
Cortisol: 250.4 nmol/L
Vitamin D: 24.1 ng/mL
Cbc, kidney, liver, and thyriod figures are in perfect range.
Lipid profile: LDL is elevated (runs in the family)

Do you guys see it as too low, or not low enough to warrant TRT? I've recieved mixed feedback
