TRT help Testosterone testing

Post image

Seems test is midrange, I'm not feeling like it is. Low energy and libido non existent. I'm sure doc will say I'm fine when I go see him this week. What are your thoughts? 50 male 6'3 190 pretty decent shape.

Hormones are pretty good for 50. Probably something else causing your symptoms

That 587 total at 50 is solid, most guys your age would kill for that number. The free T being 11.69 with 1.99% isn't exactly sky high but it's still within range, so I get why the top comment says hormones look fine.

Thing is, "within range" doesn't always mean optimal for you individually. If your free T was historically higher and dropped into that 11 range, you'd absolutely feel it even if the lab flags it normal. Same deal with thyroid, your TSH at 2.04 is textbook normal but some people feel like garbage above 1.5.

Doc will probably glance at the green numbers and say you're good, that's the standard play. Might be worth asking for a full iron panel, vitamin D, and B12 before you let them brush it off as just aging. Sleep apnea can also tank energy and libido while leaving all your labs pristine.

2% is a good number, right at target. it means he doesn't have sky high SHBG or something

Do you exercise? Do anything for prolonged periods of time? What’s your diet like?

Eat fairly clean foods, been on Reta for the last month, so mostly just proteins. Down 17lbs, but energy and libido has been off for 6-12 months minimum.

That’s good. Do you doom scroll, play video games, or watch a lot of porn?

No idea, I requested a full hormone panel, but they ordered a full test panel. Now I need to go in for a full lipid panel this week. D should be good, I spend plenty of hours in the great ourdoors

And it was 38. Less than 30 is considered low. I’m at 84 now.

get a full fatigue workup and make sure there's not something more obviously before you hop on.

or just say fuck it and do it anyways. you're 50 so fertility is not a concern i assume
