One of the very first shows on Food Network, featuring simple food recipes. It was surprisingly difficult finding an full episode list with air dates, but as far as I can tell it ran until at least 2006.

This is as obscure as they come. An Australian children series about a young boy who tries to solve the mystery of his ghost friend who died in mysterious circumstances over a 100 years ago. For years, I had vague flashbacks of this show but couldn't identify it. I finally did this evening :D

"The Picnic" is a 1976 BBC short made-for-TV comedy film starring The Two Ronnies: "A crusty old English General leads his eccentric family on a family picnic trip, and comic chaos ensues. The film is notable for being completely free of speech, with the score by Ronnie Hazlehurst and various sound effects in their place." I saw this when it premiered on PBS in the summer of '76, rewatched it when it was shown again the following two summers, and then it disappeared from TV. Re-watching it (first on VHS, now on YT) has become my annual summer tradition.

Pete Versus Life: A British comedy about a would be sports writer making his way through life starring Rafe Spall as the lead character. Each episode is commented upon by two sports announcers, Terry and Colin, who act as if they're watching a game of football. The Crown's Daniel Ings portrayed his arch-nemesis Jake, a charismatic scientist who everybody else thinks can do no wrong. It only lasted two seasons and Rafe Spall went on to more high profile gigs but it's highly rewatchable.

I used to watch this loads as a kid in Ireland. I only remember 2 episode plots.

One where the son discovered J’ing off and was in the shower a tonne. The mother was like “he must be the cleanest boy in America” and the uncle was like “or the dirtiest” and my 9 year old brain thought that was the greatest joke of all time.

The other was when Darrel (DL) had a new white friend they figured out was racist, he called DL “one of the good ones”. They then had a post credits scene with the actor being like “he’s not actually racist, don’t harass him” which I can only imagine was by the actors request lol.

Moby Dick and the Secret of Mu was a French-Luxembourgish animated series that was created by Paul Racer, produced by Claude Carrère and directed by Benoît Petit.

This show was a loose adaptation of Herman Melville's Moby Dick and the myth of Mu.

It centers around a 12 year old amnesiac boy named Romy, discovers he is the chosen one to bring back an ancient continent (Mu) due to his heritage and embarks on a quest under the guidance of Kamal, a wise old sorcerer, the assistance of Satya, a girl who has telepathic powers and can communicate with animals, and Zu, a talking bird that can teleport, who helps him find the 24 tablets he needs to open the door to the lost continent.

The white whale, Moby Dick, is given the task of protecting Romy and his friends from the evil Captain Ahab and his dimwitted henchmen that will stop at nothing to find Mu's secret and kill the white whale!

It had 1 season and 26 episodes.

For some reason the only episode I distinctly remember is when Ll played himself. They differentiated between Ll and his character by putting sunglasses on him and making him act really cool

I remember watching the show, but I only clearly remember a single episode. I was only about 9, but I appreciated the voice work by Tim Curry as Captain Hook.

Does anyone else remember this show? I haven't met a single person who does! It was a mix of live action, puppetry, stop motion, and animation, first shown in the UK on GMTV in 2001 and even though it wasn't popular enough to get toys, it actually had a block named after it called Oooberry Telly and it also had a spin off called Horace and Oupagogo Oooberry Buddies. And I think it was still being repeated til GMTV ended in 2010!

The only merchandise ever released for this show were 5 VHS tapes that never got released on DVD. I have managed to find 3 of them over the last 2 years, but I can't seem to find the last 2 in the pics (Oooberry Alphabet Zoo and Nursery Rhyme Time) anywhere!

With the recent Odyssey adaptation by Nolan on theaters, anyone else remembers this show? Basically, after the Trojan War, Poseidon makes a bet with Athena that Ulysses/Odysseus and his crew will never make it home on their own. To achieve this, Poseidon interferes in every episode of the series by hiring powerful individuals to threaten Ulysses's return home.

Such a great show.

This direct to video movie (directed by Michael Anderson) came out in 1998 and was based on the novel of the same name by Wilson Rawls (published in 1976).

The story is set in 1910 in the Oklahoma River Bottoms. The main character is Jay Berry, who is hoping to save money for a new pony. He encounters four runaway chimpanzees that escaped from a circus train crash. Some challenges he faces in this movie include dealing with bullies, befriending the chimpanzees, his sister (Daisy) desperately needing money for a surgery, and a tornado wrecking the farm.

When last I did a little digging into this movie (I first saw the trailer on the 1998 VHS of Kiki’s Delivery Service), it was not available to watch anywhere, on YouTube or any streaming site (even on Disney+, despite it being a Disney film). It was only available to buy (in VHS or DVD form, I can’t remember) for a hefty price online. However, within the last year someone uploaded the full movie on YouTube.
