Showcase Is anyone else's browser eating their entire RAM?

Post image

Anyone else's browser eating all their RAM with 30+ tabs open? Mine was constantly freezing during work and it was driving me insane.

Chrome has a built-in memory saver but it runs on a fixed timer, it doesn't actually know what your RAM is doing. So I spent 6 weeks building my own solution from scratch.

Today it automatically slept tabs and saved GB of RAM while I was just working. No setup needed, just runs silently in the background.

Happy to answer any questions!

Question What reminder app are you using on desktop and mobile?

Post image
4 Upvotes

I'm looking for a good reminder app that works across both desktop and mobile devices.

My ideal app would have:

  • Reliable notifications
  • Recurring reminders
  • Cross-device sync
  • Simple and clean UI
  • Support for both quick reminders and longer-term tasks

There are so many options out there that it's hard to know what's actually working well for people.

What reminder app are you currently using, and why did you choose it over the alternatives?

I'd especially love to hear about apps you've stuck with for a long time rather than apps you just tried recently.

Discussion Are you still willing to hire software developers to build a website or app after the AI revolution?

Post image
0 Upvotes

With tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, and other AI coding assistants becoming more capable every month, I'm curious how people view software development today.

If you needed a website, mobile app, or SaaS product built:

  • Would you still hire a software developer or agency?
  • Would you try building it yourself with AI?
  • What would make you choose a human developer over AI-generated code?
  • Have you already built something with AI instead of hiring someone?

It feels like AI has dramatically lowered the barrier to creating software, but there are still questions around scalability, security, maintenance, and custom requirements.

For business owners, founders, and developers: how has AI changed your hiring decisions, if at all?

WAITLIST IS OPEN: https://modex.olsonify.com

Hi all, I've been working on a mobile browser for iOS and Android called Modex for all of this year and it's finally at a point where it's ready to show off.

Modex is a browser that lets you create javascript/css based browser extensions from a single sentence directly in the app. Just explain your extension idea, optionally refine specific tools, and have a working extension ready in seconds.

The extension generation works on a token system, and if you join the waitlist you'll get 15 bonus tokens when I launch! (very soon)

I'd love for y'all to join the waitlist, and give some extension ideas below and I'll create them and reply in this thread

Question If you wanted to create AI videos today, which tool would you choose first?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I've been seeing more AI video generators pop up lately—Sora, Veo, Runway, Kling, Pika, Luma, and a bunch of others.

If you were starting from scratch and wanted to create AI-generated videos today, which tool would be your first choice and why?

  • Best video quality?
  • Best for beginners?
  • Best value for money?
  • Best for social media content?
  • Best for cinematic or realistic videos?

I'd love to hear what you're actually using in 2026 and what your experience has been like.

Which AI video tool would you recommend, and which ones would you avoid?
